Porridge - 'The Complete Series' is in Stores Today...in Canada But not in the USA, apparently...Amazon.com cancels American pre-orders!

Near the end of December we reported that Porridge - The Complete Series would be available on DVD in North America today, February 7th. We got that information from Amazon.com, which had a pre-order listing up for the title. Today we received an email from one of our readers, who passed on that the item "...is now listed as unavailable & has no order link on Amazon (it was previously listed as coming 2/7/2017). Amazon cancelled my pre-order and said it wasn't available." Our thanks to Erika Johnson for letting us know; we took a look at the listing and saw that it's now indeed marked as "Currently unavailable." Erika also let us know that the BBC is selling it directly to U.S. customers. However, this isn't the situation in Canada. The big e-tailer's sister site north of the border, Amazon.ca, shows in their listing that the 3-DVD set of Porridge - The Complete Series is IN STOCK and became available starting today. The price up there is CA$43.98 SRP, and box art is the same:
