New York, NY - June 20, 2019 - A&E Network will premiere a special new season of the Emmy(R) Award-winning series, "Intervention" combating the ever-growing drug epidemic in various cities and neighborhoods in Philadelphia. Over the course of six consecutive episodes, viewers will follow the stories of addicts as they work to overcome their opioid addictions as well as one of the most dramatic recoveries in one of the largest drug hubs on the East Coast. The team of expert interventionists will work with city officials, first responders and the families, offering a way out before it is too late. The one-hour season premiere of "Intervention" airs on Tuesday, August 6 at 9PM ET/PT.

According to the CDC, every day, more than 130 people in the United States die after overdosing on opioids. This season, "Intervention" focuses on the journey of those plagued by their opioid addictions and their families who are left to pick up the pieces in what is dubbed Philadelphia's "Heroin Hub" and the surrounding communities. Interventionists Ken Seeley, Donna Chavous, Heather Hayes, Michael Gonzalez and Jim Reidy face the biggest challenge of their careers as they attempt to help nine victims of addiction, who are in dire need of support, get clean and gain control over their lives.

New York, NY - November 27, 2017 - A&E Network will premiere a special new season of the Emmy(R) Award-winning and critically-acclaimed docuseries "Intervention." For the first time in series history, this season will follow interconnected stories of addicts and their families suffering at the hands of the national opioid crisis. Living in a cluster of communities within the affluent Atlanta suburbs known as "The Heroin Triangle," the families chronicled highlight the desperate need for support and help during this national drug emergency. The two-hour season premiere of "Intervention" launches Tuesday, January 2 at 9 PM ET/PT on A&E.
 
"Over the past decade, 'Intervention' has offered an incredibly compelling look at the face of addiction in America. As a testament to the severity of the country's current opioid crises, this season focuses on the victims of this epidemic and exposes the widespread impact of addiction on a community-wide scale," said Elaine Frontain Bryant, EVP and Head of Programming, A&E Network. "Intervention" profiles people whose uncontrollable addiction to drugs, alcohol or compulsive behavior has brought them to the brink of destruction and has devastated their family and friends. This season focuses on the journey of those plagued by their opioid addictions and their families who are left to pick up the pieces, as well as the city officials who are on the ground fighting as they attempt to intervene and save the lives of those affected as well as help heal the community. Veteran interventionists Candy Finnigan, Ken Seeley, and Donna Chavous partner with interventionist and Georgia native, Heather Hayes, as well as new team member, Michael Gonzales as they face the biggest challenge of their careers and attempt to help these victims of addiction.

"Intervention" has been nominated for 11 Primetime Emmy Awards and won two, including one for Outstanding Reality Program in 2009. "Intervention" is produced for A&E by GRB Entertainment. Immediately following is the premiere of "Dope Man," a chilling yet profoundly hopeful look at the unexpected face of addiction through the eyes of Tim Ryan, an ex-con and recovering heroin addict. "Intervention" profiles people whose uncontrollable addiction to drugs, alcohol or compulsive behavior has brought them to the brink of destruction and has devastated their family and friends. This season features Tanisha, a formerly successful young woman whose heroin-addicted mother introduced her to the drug after a devastating personal loss; Katherine, an abduction and rape victim who turned to a deadly mix of drugs, alcohol and prostitution to cope with the pain; Shiann, who faced with a lifetime's worth of pain at a young age, spiraled into deep depression and meth addiction after the unexpected divorce from her husband, among many other stories. Interventionists Jeff Van Vonderen, Candy Finnigan, Ken Seeley, Donna Chavous and former series subject and "Intervention" success story Sylvia Parsons return to present these individuals with a life-changing opportunity of treatment and recovery.

"Dope Man" follows Tim Ryan, an ex-con and former addict, who before embracing recovery, lost his son to heroin and nearly died from it himself. Now, in an era when addicts are dying faster and younger by the day, he's made it his life's mission to save others from the deadly drug.
