FROSTY THE SNOWMAN (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT)
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of this holiday classic! Frosty, that “jolly, happy soul” whose old silk hat full of magic has turned him into a musical Christmas legend, once again demonstrates his unique showmanship. Narrated by Jimmy Durante, the special also includes the voices of Jackie Vernon (as Frosty) and Billy De Wolfe (as Professor Hinkle). (Rebroadcast)

FROSTY RETURNS (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT)
The magic still in his old silk hat, the holiday season’s perennially popular original dancing snowman continues his adventure and skates on the edge of danger. Jonathan Winters is the narrator with John Goodman as the voice of Frosty. (Rebroadcast)

Saturday, Nov. 30

ROBBIE THE REINDEER: HOOVES OF FIRE (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT)
In this animated special, Robbie (voiced by Ben Stiller) must train to compete in the Reindeer Races to become a part of the sleigh team for Santa (voiced by Jim Belushi). (Rebroadcast)

ROBBIE THE REINDEER: LEGEND OF THE LOST TRIBE (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT)
In the second of two 30-minute specials, Robbie battles Blitzen (voiced by Hugh Grant) in an effort to stop his nemesis’s launch of a reindeer theme park. Britney Spears, James Woods, Leah Remini and Jerry Stiller are among the additional stars to lend their voices. (Rebroadcast)

THE STORY OF SANTA CLAUS (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT)
This animated musical holiday special revolves around a gentle toymaker (voiced by Ed Asner) whose only wish is to deliver a toy to every child on Christmas. The voices of Betty White and Tim Curry are also featured. (Rebroadcast)

Monday, Dec. 2

RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT)
Narrated by Burl Ives, who is also heard as the voice of Sam the Snowman, this favorite is a music story based on the popular song of the same name by Johnny Marks. It recounts the tale of a shy reindeer whose Christmas spirit is dampened because his shiny nose has made him the laughing stock of all of Christmasville. (Rebroadcast)

Sunday, Dec. 15

THE 42ND ANNUAL KENNEDY CENTER HONORS (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT)
R&B collective Earth, Wind & Fire, actress Sally Field, singer Linda Ronstadt, children’s television program “Sesame Street” and musical visionary Michael Tilson Thomas will receive honors. CBS has broadcast the special each year since its debut 42 years ago. (New)

Friday, Dec. 20

I LOVE LUCY CHRISTMAS SPECIAL (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT)
Featuring two back-to-back episodes of the classic series, the colorized “The Christmas Episode” and newly colorized “Paris at Last.” “The Christmas Episode” (first presented in black and white on Christmas Eve, 1956) finds the Ricardos and Mertzes decorating Lucy and Ricky’s Christmas tree and reminiscing about how their lives have changed since the arrival of the Ricardos’ son, Little Ricky. In “Paris at Last” (originally aired Feb. 27, 1956) the Ricardos and Mertzes arrive in the French capital, where Lucy encounters a sidewalk artist, who sells multiple copies of the same “original” oil painting, and a con man, who offers a better exchange rate for her American dollars than the one offered in the banks. Later, her attempt to have a quiet lunch in an outdoor café finds her not only unwittingly ordering a plate of snails, but paying the check with counterfeit French francs.

Sunday, Dec. 22

The 21st annual A HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS WITH IDINA MENZEL (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT)
Tony Award winner Idina Menzel performs songs from her new album, Christmas: A Season of Love, and introduces uplifting stories about adoption from foster care. Award-winning artists Adam Lambert, NE-YO and Kelly Rowland also perform.

I Love Lucy newly colorized episodes 4/19 on CBS

The I Love Lucy Funny Money Special Will Banish Your Tax Day Blues

Newly colorized versions of two classic Lucy episodes will air on Apr. 19.

If you're dreading Tax Day—and who isn't?—fear not! The one and only Lucille Ball will be returning to your TV sets for a hilarious new one-hour special to wash those blues away.

The I Love Lucy Funny Money Special, airing on Friday, Apr. 19 at 8/7c on CBS and CBS All Access, will feature two back-to-back classic episodes, now in full color and seamlessly combined.

The two episodes, "The Million-Dollar Idea" and "Bonus Bucks," are newly colorized with a nod to the tones of the 1950's period in which they were filmed.

As with previous Lucy specials, the main titles and end credits are seamlessly combined at the beginning and end of the hour with no interruption between the episodes, making for one easy-to-watch program.

Who's in the cast of the I Love Lucy Funny Money Special?
I Love Lucy, of course, stars Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz as Lucy and Ricky Ricardo, and Vivian Vance and William Frawley as the Ricardos' best friends, Fred and Ethel Mertz.

What happens in the I Love Lucy Funny Money Special episodes?
In "The Million-Dollar Idea," originally broadcast on Jan. 11, 1954, Lucy and Ethel attempt to get rich quick by bottling Lucy's homemade salad dressing. A commercial pitch on a local TV program results in hundreds of orders, but Ricky soon determines that the ladies are not charging enough to cover the cost of production and distribution. They decide to fill the initial orders and get out of the business fast, but a second TV appearance, designed to discourage additional sales, results in even more orders!

In "Bonus Bucks," originally broadcast on Mar. 8, 1954, it's the Ricardos vs. the Mertzes when both couples claim ownership of a dollar bill worth three hundred dollars in a newspaper's "Bonus Bucks" contest. To save their friendship, they decide to split the winnings, each couple keeping half the actual bill until it can be redeemed. Unfortunately, Ricky puts the Ricardos' half of the dollar in his pajama pocket—which Lucy unwittingly sends to the laundry.

When is the I Love Lucy Funny Money Special?
The one-hour special, featuring two back-to-back colorized episodes, will be broadcast and streamed on Friday, April 19 from 8:00pm to 9:01pm ET/PT (7:00pm to 8:01pm CT).

What else should I know about I Love Lucy?
