In 2009, Nickelodeon released SpongeBob SquarePants - The First 100 Episodes on DVD...a 14-disc set with the first 5 seasons of the show on it!. That item went for $99.99 SRP at the time, but it's been out of print for a while (and sometimes sells for much more than that in the after-market circuit, as a collectible).

Now Nickelodeon and Paramount Home Media Distribution have announced that they are bringing this item back to market on May 23rd. Same content on the same 14 discs, same box art....almost the same everything. Well, except the price. The cost is now $49.99 SRP. But for that price it still "Includes (the) 44 minute documentary Squareroots: The Story of SpongeBob SquarePants! "Squareroots: The Story of SpongeBob SquarePants" contains scenes and language of a mature nature. Viewer discretion is advised."

Here's something we've missed...for months now, apparently!

But let's set up this write-up with a bit of an explanation, starting farther back than that. You see, back in October 2015, VEI released Hotel - The Complete Collection on DVD. It was a 29-disc set originally priced at $249.98 SRP, saying on the cover that it "includes all 114 episodes"...we're told that this was IN ADDITION TO the inclusion of the pilot telefilm. These days that set sells for about 60 bucks.

Now we get to what happened a few months ago. VEI quietly released a new edition of Hotel - The Complete Collection on DVD. It's been available since last December 9th, and at a MUCH lower price! You can buy it from Amazon.com or from VEI's online store for roughly $30, after discount, and it's available to own right away.

Now for the question that the package art, shown below, brings up: on the front cover, it says THIS time that the set "includes all 115 episodes." Wait, what? Why the different count? Where did the extra episode come from? We checked with VEI, and we're grateful to them for clearing up the mystery: the "115th" episode is the pilot telefilm, this time included in the count mentioned on the package cover. Our contact at VEI was extremely clear on this point: "Both products have the same content." So, if you own the previous set, you're not missing anything from it. But if you never got the original release, now's the chance to get it at a low cost.

In addition, the season premiere of CHASING CLASSIC CARS (3/15/2017) posted as Velocity's largest total audience for the month and was up 59% in M25-54 vs. season premiere last year.

Louis Hunter (The Fosters, Jack Goes Home) and Bella Dayne (Guerrilla, Humans) will star as Paris and Helen, the two lovers whose passionate affair plunges Greece and Troy into war, threatening to bring both empires to their knees. David Threlfall (Shameless, Tommy Cooper: Not Like That, Like This) plays Paris' father, King Priam of Troy, alongside Frances O'Connor (The Missing, Mr Selfridge) as Hecuba, Queen of Troy, and Tom Weston-Jones (Dickensian, Copper) as their eldest son Hector.

They are joined by a cast including Joseph Mawle (Game Of Thrones, Ripper Street) as Odysseus, Chloe Pirrie (To Walk Invisible, War & Peace) as Andromache, Johnny Harris (This Is England 86-90, Jawbone) as Agamemnon, David Gyasi (Man In An Orange Shirt, Interstellar) as Achilles, and Jonas Armstrong (Dark Angel, Ripper Street) as Menelaos, the King of Sparta whose marriage to Helen is destroyed when Paris arrives in his city.

Further casting includes Alfred Enoch (How To Get Away With Murder, Harry Potter) as the Trojan general Aeneas, and Aimee-Ffion Edwards (Luther, The Detectorists) as Priam and Hecuba's daughter, Cassandra.

An epic tale of mortals and gods, David Farr's psychologically rich and sweeping narrative goes back to the story's origins: to the judgement of Paris, his scandalous love affair with Helen, and the ill-starred prophecy surrounding his birth.

Troy: Fall Of A City is filming on location in Cape Town and will premiere in the UK on BBC One and globally outside of the UK on Netflix. Here's something you probably didn't expect us to post news about. But you know what? Kids who watched this when it was a hot sensation in the mid-to-late 90s are all grown up now, and may be parent themselves, and if you're among that number then perhaps you want to share this with your own kids. Right? And normally we wouldn't cover stuff for the youngest of kids...because let's face it, most of those are impulse items, bought without any prior planning. But we'll make an exception here, because of the nature of what this item is about.

While we haven't seen an official studio announcement for this yet, Amazon.com has added a pre-order listing for a May 23rd release of "Teletubbies - 20th Anniversary: The Best of the Best Classic Episodes." Amazon shows this will be a 3-DVD set priced at just $14.99 SRP. You'll get the very best episodes, with the most classic scenarios featuring Tinky Winky., Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po. There's no box art shown yet, but stay tuned and we'll try to bring that to you, once it's available.

Viewed from a multitude of vantage points through visceral and rarely seen archival footage, the film brings a fresh perspective to a pivotal moment that reverberates to this day. Following the premiere at Tribeca, the film will complete a multicity screening tour including Baltimore; Charlotte; St. Louis; Washington, D.C.; and Atlanta. Additionally, a limited theatrical release in New York and Los Angeles begins Friday, April 28, and LA 92 makes its television broadcast debut on National Geographic on Sunday, April 30, at 9/8c and will also air globally in 171 countries and 45 languages. Using no narration or talking head interviews, the filmmakers decided to take a bold approach: to reconstruct the tumultuous events that unfolded in 1992 by exclusively using archival footage and photographs. Culling thousands of hours of visceral broadcast news footage, radio reports, police files and personal home videos - some of which have never been broadcast - the filmmakers tell the story through a variety of different points of view and perspectives and set it all to a rich orchestral score composed by Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans.

"We come from a cinema verite background and as such, we are always striving to find ways to let the footage speak for itself," said Martin and Lindsay, who also edited the film. "Our intent was to fully immerse viewers in a raw and unfiltered experience in order to challenge their understanding of the civil unrest, both emotionally and intellectually."

The filmmakers sourced an intricate network of citizen journalists with boots on the ground during the civil disturbance to bring authenticity to the film. The film features never-before-seen and rarely used footage from the Los Angeles First AME Church, which supported many victims of the violence; materials from the Los Angeles police and fire departments; and video from contemporaneous news broadcasts from LA-based Korean-language television stations. LA 92 takes viewers out of the prism of their own cultural, racial and political perspectives and allows them to see the events of 1992 in a new light.

The film captures the shock, disappointment and fury felt by many Angelenos, particularly those in the African-American community, following the outcomes of two back-to-back, highly publicized trials. In November 1991, a Korean convenience store owner who was convicted of fatally shooting African-American teenager Latasha Harlins was given no jail time by a white Los Angeles judge. Six months later, four police officers caught on videotape brutally beating unarmed black motorist Rodney King were acquitted of assault by a predominantly white Simi Valley jury.

The King verdict sparked a wave of violent protests, looting and arson that lasted several days and left more than 50 people dead, thousands injured and large swaths of Los Angeles - including many Korean-American-owned businesses - in ruins. In the case of the King beating, it was the first time the kind of abuse many had witnessed or experienced at the hands of LAPD officers was recorded and broadcast for the world to see, leaving some with the sense that if justice did not prevail despite such graphic evidence, it never would.

    As a new school year begins, the town of Riverdale is reeling from the recent, tragic death of high school golden boy Jason Blossom...and nothing feels the same.     Months after saying goodbye to sentient synth Mia (Gemma Chan, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and her family, the Hawkinses search for some semblance of normalcy. Laura (Katherine Parkinson, The IT Crowd) and Joe (Tom Goodman-Hill, Mr. Selfridge) attend marriage counseling, even as they grow concerned over their daughter's (Pixie Davies, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children) strange behavior. But when Niska (Emily Berrington, 24: Live Another Day) arrives at their home unannounced, the family is pulled back into the dangerous lives of the synths.

    As synths begin to gain consciousness all over the world, a mysterious organization starts hunting them down. Leo (Colin Morgan, The Fall) and Max (Ivanno Jeremiah, Black Mirror) clash over how to protect the self-aware synths, while a renowned AI scientist (Carrie-Anne Moss, The Matrix trilogy) joins a global tech company preparing to release a revolutionary new product. This provocative, pulse-pounding drama also stars Will Tudor (Game of Thrones), Sonya Cassidy (The Paradise), and Sam Palladio (Nashville).
It's a LONG way off, and RLJ Entertainment's Acorn Media hasn't sent us an announcement for it yet, but Humans - Season 2 has come up for pre-order at Amazon.com for both DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc! Both formats are 2-disc sets with a $39.99 SRP, and show a street date of Halloween: October 31st. We can't wait! There's no other details yet, nor package art....and since all of this is seven months away, it could possibly change in the meantime. Stay tuned for updates, as we get closer to that release!

ICE follows the prestigious diamond-dealing Green Family, as they plunge into the high-stakes underbelly of the Los Angeles diamond trade. Jake (Cam Gigandet, The Magnificent Seven, The Twilight Saga franchise) and Freddy (Jeremy Sisto, Six Feet Under, Law and Order, Suburgatory) are brothers brought together by their father, Isaac (Raymond Barry, Training Day, Born on the Fourth of July), the patriarch behind Green & Green Diamond Company, and their uncle Cam (Ray Winstone, The Departed). After wildcard Freddy kills a prominent diamond dealer, his brother Jake must bail him out and save the family business from Lady Rah, a ruthless diamond dealer who is not afraid to get her hands dirty (Judith Shekoni, Heroes Reborn, The Twilight Saga franchise).

In saving Freddy, the family falls under the thumb of Lady Rah, who begins to involve the Greens in her business deals. As she steps up her demands, the Greens must maneuver amongst blood diamond deals and double-crossing criminals, while attempting to stay one step ahead and keep the doors to the business open. But when Pieter Van de Bruin (Donald Sutherland, The Hunger Games franchise), a ruthless diamond smuggler with designs on Green & Green Diamond Company, arrives in Los Angeles, the family realizes their problems have only just begun. Extras on the set include a "Premise" featurette, interviews with Sisto and Gigandet and a "Diamond Girl" music video from Rachele Royale.

LOS ANGELES, March 31, 2017 WGN America announced today that the sixth installment of its gripping, hit series, “Underground,” slated to air at a special time on Wednesday, April 12 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, will in its entirety feature a solo performance by Aisha Hinds (“Under the Dome,” Star Trek Into Darkness), whose electrifying portrayal of Harriet Tubman has already captivated viewers and critics around the country. Tubman, the Underground Railroad's most famous conductor, risks her life repeatedly in order to free her family members and lead anyone willing to journey north across hostile territory, to freedom – a task she believes is her God-given mission.
