Returning for its third season, The Wayans Bros. continues to deliver its unique blend of classic physical comedy and hip '90s situation comedy with Shawn and Marlon Wayans playing brothers with little in common save an innate ability to disagree, disrupt and "dis." Shawn continues to run the newsstand next to Pops' (John Witherspoon) diner, Marlon pursues an acting career, security gal Dee (Anna Maria Horsford) keeps the peace at the Niedermeyer, and life throws a comical curveball when Grandma Ellington (Ja'net DuBois) comes to town. Pops is none too pleased when his mother-in-law sells her house and moves to town, but Shawn and Marlon pay the price when she moves in with them and promptly starts running their lives. Things return to almost normal when Grandma moves in across the hall, letting the brothers get back to romantic rivalries, career conundrums and flat-out foolishness in this 3-disc, 22-episode collection. On November 7th the Warner Archive Collection will release The Wayans Bros. - The Complete 3rd Season on DVD, a manufacture on demand (MOD) set available online through sellers such as the studio's own WBshop.com web store (see button link below). The Wayans Bros.' sophomore season sees Shawn (Shawn Wayans) laid off from his job and Pops (John Witherspoon) setting him up with his own newsstand next to Pops' Diner in the lobby of the Neidermeyer. While Shawn takes on his new career with maturity and determination, a jealous Marlon struggles to make ends meet bussing tables at Pops' and working part-time for Shawn. Sparks soon fly when the brothers meet Monique Lattimore (Paula Jai Parker), a former "little rich girl" now recruited into the ranks of the working class. While Marlon's lust for her goes unnoticed, Shawn and Monique begin a flirtatious and antagonistic relationship. He thinks she's a snob, and she thinks he's beneath her...but they can't stop thinking about each other. Keeping things secure in the Neidermeyer is 5'1" female security guard Lou Malino (Jill Tasker). Lou rules her domain with an iron fist and a very sharp tongue...something Marlon soon learns in this 3-disc, 22-episode collection. The Complete 1st Season came out on DVD way back in early 2005. After a dozen years, Warner has announced that they are FINALLY following up with The Wayans Bros. - The Complete 2nd Season on DVD!
