Colton Underwood stars in "The Bachelor" premiering 1/7 on ABC

Nov. 14, 2018
COLTON UNDERWOOD GETS A CHANCE FOR LOVE
AS THE STAR OF ABC’S HIT ROMANCE REALITY SERIES ‘THE BACHELOR,’
PREMIERING FOR ITS 23rd SEASON ON JAN. 7, 2019

Colton Underwood burst onto the scene during season 14 of “The Bachelorette.” It was his good looks, love for dogs and vulnerability that charmed not only Bachelorette Becca Kufrin, but all of Bachelor Nation. This former NFL player made a play for Becca’s heart but was sadly sent home after professing he had fallen in love. Now Colton is back and ready to capture hearts across America yet again when he returns for another shot at love as the star of the 23rd season of ABC’s hit romance reality series “The Bachelor,” premiering MONDAY, JAN. 7 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

During its 22nd   season, ABC’s “The Bachelor” dominated its 2-hour time period among Adults 18-49 and stood as Monday’s No. 1 television series with Adults 18-34 and Women 18-34.
Colton, 26, notably spoke to Becca very candidly about his virginity during season 14 of “The Bachelorette,” and won over America when he opened up about the sensitive topic during an emotional conversation on “The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All”reunion.

When Colton showed up to the beaches of Mexico this summer on “Bachelor in Paradise,” he was hopeful that he’d have another chance at love. While he may not have found it, he didn’t leave empty-handed: he found closure with former flame Becca Kufrin; clarity with Bachelor Nation favorite Tia Booth; and, above all, an unwavering desire to find the woman of his dreams. After a summer of growth and a new perspective on what he is looking for in a partner, Colton is more than ready for this next chapter. This all-American man is looking for a teammate who will join him for a life full of adventure, philanthropy and lasting love, and he is confident that he will find her on “The Bachelor.”

Hosted by Chris Harrison, “The Bachelor” is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Unscripted & Alternative Television. Mike Fleiss, Elan Gale, Bennett Graebner and Nicole Woods are the executive producers. “The Bachelor” is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel stereo surround sound.

The Bachelorette: Episode 1401 5/28 on ABC

The Bachelorette: Episode 1401 (5/28) - SEASON PREMIERE

FAN FAVORITE BECCA KUFRIN BEGINS HER SEARCH
FOR PRINCE CHARMING ON ABC’S ‘THE BACHELORETTE,’
PREMIERING FOR ITS 14TH SEASON, MONDAY, MAY 28

A Man From Becca’s Past Makes a Bold Move'

Fan favorite Becca Kufrin captured America’s heart when she found herself at the center of one of the most gut-wrenching Bachelor breakups of all time. Now the Minnesota girl next door returns for a second shot at love and gets to hand out the roses, searching for her happily-ever-after in the 14th edition of ABC’s hit series “The Bachelorette,” premiering MONDAY, MAY 28 (8:00–10:01 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand. After opening herself up to finding love with Arie Luyendyk Jr. last season on “The Bachelor,” this hopeful, down-to-earth woman will embark on her own journey to find her soul mate, meeting 28 bachelors who are all eager to win her heart and the final rose.

In “Episode 1401,” even a self-confident Becca who knows what she wants can always use some support and advice. Three former Bachelorettes who all found true love – Rachel, JoJo and Kaitlyn – come to the mansion to help Becca prepare for her big first night. After some encouragement and sound guidance, Becca’s three new friends toast to her bright future.

The Bachelorette, dazzling in a shimmering gown, is greeted by Chris Harrison that evening; and the limos filled with anxious eligible bachelors, who are ready to pull out all the stops to make a lasting impression on Becca, begin to pull into the driveway. One dashing suitor surprises her by dropping to one knee with a proposal on the spot. Another man is so eager to show that he is ready for fatherhood that he pulls up in a minivan full of soccer balls, a child safety seat and snacks. Not to be outdone, an adventure lover rides in on an ox, and one brave man arrives in a chicken suit. But it will be hard to top the confident entrepreneur who brings an entire gospel choir to serenade the elegant Bachelorette.
Becca is beyond impressed with this group of handsome men, but no sooner does she arrive inside than one aggressive bachelor whisks her off for the first one-on-one conversation of the night. The rest of the evening Becca’s suitors scramble to steal her away for some private time. Chris Harrison ratchets up the pressure when he brings out the coveted first impression rose. While the men try and show her they are there for the right reasons, two bachelors decide to share some strange allegations as one man questions the other’s intentions – right in front of Becca! But the drama is just starting, as a man she remembers meeting in Minnesota shows up as one of her suitors. She already needs to rely on her gut instincts to make the right decision: Should he stay or go? And after she gives out the first impression rose, Becca is ready for her first of many rose ceremonies.

At the end of the night, 21 bachelors remain to embark on wild romantic adventures with Becca and attempt to become the love of her life.

Season highlights and a list of bachelors will be released at a later date.

Hosted by Chris Harrison, “The Bachelorette” is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Unscripted & Alternative Television.
