There are rivalries, and then there is the Celtics versus the Lakers. "Celtics/Lakers: Best of Enemies," a five-hour 30 for 30 film event, chronicles the storied franchises' epic clashes and relives the Boston-LA battle from both sides, with sensational footage and fresh, insightful interviews. The three-part documentary will premiere with Parts One and Two back-to-back on Tuesday, June 13, at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN and Part Three on Wednesday, June 14, at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. Directed by Jim Podhoretz (The Gospel According to Mac) and Executive Produced by Jonathan Hock (Of Miracles and Men, The Best That Never Was), the film not only gets to the heart of the greatest tug-of-war in NBA history, but also shows how their three riveting NBA Finals match-ups over a four-year period in the mid-1980s fueled the popularity of the league, changed popular culture and set the stage for the tremendous growth and profile of the NBA since.

"I began my career at NBA Entertainment in 1985 (actually Jon Hock and I started on the same day), and I vividly remember being a 24-year-old production assistant and sitting courtside in the Boston Garden for the 1987 NBA Finals," says Podhoretz. "While some of the Celtics-Lakers story has been chronicled before, we hope to bring to our production the experience of going through it from a visceral and highly partisan standpoint. We found the players that we interviewed to be totally engaged. The vivid details that they recall, the candid feelings, their hatred, their joy and their vulnerability are all out there for people to see."

Viewers will witness the heroics, the buzzer-beaters and the fights. Thanks to Podhoretz, who began his career chronicling the Celtics for NBA Entertainment, they will also get an engaging history lesson--one that begins in the 1960s when the Celtics dominated the Lakers and continues with the 1979 NCAA Championship Game, when Larry Bird of Indiana State and Magic Johnson of Michigan State set the tone for a new chapter in the rivalry that would dominate the NBA in the ensuing decade.

"At the 30th anniversary of the last meeting in the NBA Finals between the Celtics and Lakers in the 1980s, we thought it was a great time to take an unprecedented look at the rivalry that helped shape what the league has become," says 30 for 30 Executive Producer John Dahl. "And now with two new dominant teams - the Cavaliers and Warriors - meeting in the Finals for the third straight year, we believe this story is more relevant than ever."

The two-night event will breakdown as follows:
Night One
Parts One and Two of the film not only trace the history, but also present a fabulous cast of characters who would change the NBA and open America's collective mind. At the center of it all in the 1980s was a pair of brilliant basketball talents - Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. Bird's Celtics and Magic's Lakers circled each other for four years until they faced off in an epic NBA Finals in 1984.

Night Two
Part Three picks up the story right after the thrilling 1984 NBA Finals and then explores the saga from 1985 to 1987 as the teams' disdain for each other gradually turns to respect. The Celtics and Lakers - Bird and Magic in particular - transformed the fans' view of the game from simple black-and-white to full-blown Technicolor. By the end of their last battle of that era in 1987, while there was still animosity, they had also developed a hard-earned respect for each other. In the final analysis, it was a rivalry that forced America to no longer view the league in black and white.

The impressive lineup features top games from the Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac-12 conferences, including several of the nation's most-anticipated games such as Ohio State at Michigan, Texas at USC and Oklahoma at Oklahoma State, plus the Big Ten and Big 12 championship games.

For the first time ever, FOX Sports presents "The Game," annually the biggest event on the college football regular-season calendar. Ohio State and Michigan renew their rivalry at the Big House on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 12:00 PM ET on the FOX broadcast network with a full one-hour edition of the FOX COLLEGE FOOTBALL KICKOFF pregame show live from Ann Arbor at 11:00 AM ET. That historic matchup is part of a huge weekend for FOX Sports, which also includes the Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day as well as Iowa at Nebraska in the Heroes Game, plus in-state showdowns between Texas Tech and Texas, Cal and UCLA and Baylor at TCU on Friday, Nov. 24.

The FOX broadcast network airs the first rematch of the 2006 BCS National Championship Game between Texas and USC on Saturday, Sept. 16, at 8:30 PM ET. The Longhorns, led by new head coach Tom Herman, march into The Coliseum to face preseason Heisman favorite Sam Darnold and the Trojans in the teams' first meeting since Matt Leinart and Vince Young held the spotlight in the Rose Bowl more than a decade ago. The football frenzy continues Sunday, Sept. 17, with AMERICA'S GAME OF THE WEEK featuring the Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos.

Several other top conference matchups call FOX Sports home in 2017, including Bedlam on Saturday, Nov. 4, as Oklahoma State hosts Oklahoma in what has been a meeting of the Big 12's top two teams each of the past two seasons. One week prior, on Saturday, Oct. 28, Ohio State looks to exact revenge on Penn State, who handed the Buckeyes their only regular-season loss a year ago. That contest kicks off at 3:30 PM ET on FOX and leads into another great fall tradition - the World Series on FOX, which set records in 2016 as the Chicago Cubs broke their 108-year Championship drought.

This year, the Big 12 heads to AT&T Stadium in Arlington for the conference's first championship game since 2010, while the Big Ten returns to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, the site of the most exciting conference championship game in each of the last two years, including Penn State's epic second-half comeback over Wisconsin last season. Football fans can go back to their couches on Sunday for a FOX NFL doubleheader featuring the Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons and more.

According to Nielsen Media Research for May 1-28, 2017, Nickelodeon averaged a 2.0/547K with K2-11; a 1.7/278K with Kids 6-11; and a 2.6/269K among Kids 2-5.

Nick also secured 8 of the top ten kids' shows this month in each kid demo, led by the overall number-one kids' show on all TV for May, the animated hit The Loud House - which claimed the top spot on its one-year anniversary since launch in 2016.

Nick's performance this month also pushed the net ahead of Disney Channel by +67% with Kids 2-11, +31% among Kids 6-11; and +160% among K2-5. Nickelodeon paced ahead of Cartoon Network by +100% with Kids 2-11; +70% among Kids 6-11; and +160% among Kids 2-5.
For 2017 to date, Nick is number one with all three demos--up +5% over last year and standing as the only kids' network with year-over-year growth. Also, the live-action Henry Danger, starring Jace Norman, remains TV's number-one kids' show this year to date.

NEW YORK - March 28, 2017 - Nickelodeon in first quarter 2017 extends its lead at the top of basic cable in total day as it hits number one in all three kids' demos (Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11 and Kids 2-5). Nick's 1Q 17 performance marks growth over last year; brings its winning streak to seven straight quarters with Kids 2-11 and Kids 2-5; and notches its second straight quarter at number one with Kids 6-11. Overall, Nickelodeon has been the number-one kids' network for the last three years with Kids 2-11 and preschoolers.

For the quarter (12/26/16-03/26/17), Nick is the only kids' network with year-over-year growth, averaging a 2.3/636,000 with Kids 2-11, +5% year-over-year; a 1.9/324,000 with Kids 6-11, up +6%; and a 2.9/312,000 among Kids 2-5, up +4%.

Nick holds a double-digit lead over the competition among Kids 2-11 and owns the top ten shows for Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11, as well as the number-one show for preschoolers, PAW Patrol, and overall four of the top five in this demo. 

Competitively this quarter, Nick is +64% ahead of Disney Channel with Kids 2-11 (1.4/407,000), +27% with Kids 6-11 (1.5/269,000) and +123% ahead with Kids 2-5 (1.3/138,000) in total day. NEW YORK - Feb. 28, 2017 - Headed into its Upfront presentation this week, Nickelodeon closes February as the top-rated kids' network in total day--continuing its winning streak for the month and year with Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11 and Kids 2-5 as competitors face declines. According to Nielsen Media Research for February (Jan. 30-Feb. 26, '17), Nickelodeon averaged a 2.2/608K with Kids 2-11 (on par with last year); a 1.8/302K with Kids 6-11 (on par); and a 2.9/307K among Kids 2-5 (+up 7%).

For the year to date, Nick is also firmly number one with all three demos, notably up +5% with Kids 2-11, up +11% with Kids 2-5 and marking its sixth straight month number one with Kids 6-11. Nick also owns the top shows in every kid demo; for just February, Nick has 7 of the top ten shows for Kids 2-11; 8 of the top ten with Kids 6-11; and 6 of the top ten among Kids 2-5.

Nick finished this month ahead of Disney Channel by +57% with K2-11, by +20% among K6-11; and by +123% among K2-5. Disney Channel's monthly performance was marked by declines: down -18% with K2-11 (1.4/401K); down -21% with K6-11 (1.5/258K); and down -7% with K2-5 (1.3/142K).

Nickelodeon also finished February ahead of Cartoon Network by +100% among K2-11; +64% among K6-11; and +190% among K2-5. Cartoon Network's February performance was down -8% among K2-11(1.1/297K); down -15% among K6-11 (1.1/183K); and on par with last year's K2-5 levels (1.0/113K).

Adam Blackstone to Serve as Musical Director
ABC announced today that multi-platinum Grammy-winning super producer Timbaland will serve as the third architect on the upcoming music competition series "Boy Band," which premieres on THURSDAY, JUNE 22 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. Timbaland joins previously announced architects Nick Carter (Backstreet Boys) and Emma Bunton (Spice Girls).
"I'm excited to be a part of this show and come on as an architect to help guide the next generation of undiscovered talent," said Timbaland. "I want to continue giving back to music as I have been. I'm ready to find the next boy band that could change our business."

Timbaland has been a mainstay in the music scene since the mid-1990s, producing chart-topping hits for artists such as Drake, Rihanna, Aaliyah, Missy Elliott, Jay-Z, Madonna, Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, One Republic, Kanye West, Brad Paisley and Bjork. Recently, Timbaland served as the executive music supervisor for the TV series "Empire" and will be releasing new music this year.

Additionally, musical mastermind Adam Blackstone will serve as musical director for the series. In "Boy Band," undiscovered young talent from around the country battle it out to become a member of the next great music sensation. From The Beatles to The Jackson 5 to Backstreet Boys and One Direction, generations around the world have always had an insatiable thirst for boy bands. Hosted by singer Rita Ora, the 10-episode series will chronicle the journey of young male vocalists who will compete for a chance to show the world that they have what it takes to win a coveted spot in America's next great boy band and receive a recording contract with Hollywood Records.

At the start of the season, thousands of talented singers audition for one of 18 spots in three bands and will need to impress the architects in hopes of evading elimination. Each episode will feature a different theme, and the architects will shuffle contestants to find the best combination of voices to perform live for America. Architects will critique each band's performance and collectively determine two contestants who are up for elimination. After performing solo "survival" songs, viewers at home will vote for their favorite to remain in the competition. In the finale, America's favorite five band members will be announced, and they will perform their brand-new single together for the first time.
"Boy Band" is produced by Matador Content. Todd Lubin, Jay Peterson, Jane Mun and Joel Relampagos serve as executive producers.

For the first-time ever, the 2017 Adult Swim Singles Program will now run for an entire year, delivering fans a free exclusive streaming single for 52 consecutive weeks. Since its inception, music has been a cornerstone of Adult Swim's identity and another way to connect with fans, who now consider the network the ultimate curator of diverse musical styles and a vessel of discovery for lesser-known, rising artists who are highlighted and celebrated alongside the famous.

This year's program features an assortment of 52 artists across genres from metal to electronic and hip hop, to noise and experimental. Artists include: Run The Jewels, Brian Eno, Flying Lotus, Migos, Thundercat, Wavves, Shabazz Palaces, Knxwledge, DAWN, Dinosaur Jr., DOOM feat. About the Final Season
From the moment Sarah Manning (Tatiana Maslany) locked eyes with an unknown identical woman, who jumped to her death - her life has never been the same. She's found out she's a clone, that there are multiple clones out there, and multiple factions that sought to hunt, control, betray or kill them. Now, the final showdown with Rachel (Maslany), the one clone at the center of it all who's sought to destroy her and her sestras from day one begins. And as the walls close in on her, Sarah must decide her next move very carefully, for this time, it's life or death for everyone she loves.

When we last saw Sarah, she'd been badly beaten in an epic physical battle against Rachel, that left her bruised and broken. Her foster mum, Mrs. S (Maria Doyle Kennedy), and daughter Kira (Skyler Wexler) were taken hostage and her sestra Cosima (Maslany) went missing. Now, Cosima and Alison (Maslany), and their allies have been brought to heel. Even more harrowing is that Kira has joined them in surrender. Rachel, sitting at the head of the Neolution table, has carte blanche access to their clone biology, and with Helena (Maslany) pregnant with twins, her biology is the most coveted of all. Sarah in a desperate attempt to regain control, realizes she must change tactics to pursue a long game. She, and those still able to fight, will uncover the missing pieces of the insidious conspiracy - and finally free themselves from the tyranny that has taken over their lives. Despite the great risk, the fight of her life will either set her and her sestras free, or see them meet their end.

Returning cast this season include Jordan Gavaris as Felix, Kristian Bruun as Donnie, Kevin Hanchard as Detective Art Bell, Evelyne Brochu as Dr. Delphine Cormier, Josh Vokey as Scott and Ari Millen as Ira. LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC has revised its fall 2017 lineup, opting to keep "This Is Us" in its previous Tuesday, 9:00/8:00c home.

New limited series "Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders" will still follow "This Is Us" at 10:00/9:00c.

To make room, the Peacock will shift its previously announced Tuesday comedies "Superstore" and "The Good Place" to Thursday nights alongside mainstay "Chicago Fire."

All of the aforementioned changes were confirmed via a network spokesperson this afternoon. To recap:

Now Amazon.com has begun accepting pre-orders for Chicago PD - Season 4 on DVD! This listing is prior to the official Universal Studios Home Entertainment announcement for the item, so instead of a street date Amazon merely says "This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives."

Pricing is available, however, at $44.98 SRP. There are no other details available so far at Amazon's entry, but there is early cover art for this (seen below; may not be finalized, and could be subject to change). In May 2016, a third-season episode of Chicago P.D. aired, titled "Justice." It was the back-door pilot for a new spin-off in the franchise...a fourth show that had a 13-episode first season which debuted on March 1st of this year, and concluded two-and-a-half weeks ago. Jon Seda's character, "Antonio Dawson," moves over from Chicago P.D. as a main character. Seda is joined by Philip Winchester (Crusoe), Joelle Carter (Justified), Monica Barbaro (UnREAL), and Carl Weathers (the Rocky films).

Now Amazon.com has begun accepting pre-orders for Chicago Justice - Season 1 on DVD!     Wynonna Earp follows Wyatt Earp's great granddaughter as she battles demons and other creatures. With her unique abilities, a demon-killing gun named Peacemaker, and a posse of dysfunctional allies, she's the only thing that can bring the paranormal to justice.
Melanie Scrofano (Being Erica, Damien, Designated Survivor) stars in the title role of this show that debuted last year, in April. For U.S.A. audiences, it can be seen on the Syfy cable channel. In Canada, it was originally seen on CHCH-DT, but six weeks ago it made the move to the Space channel. There were 13 episodes in the opening season, and in early June the show's second season will debut on both Syfy and Space. The program is co-produced by SEVEN24 Films and IDW Entertainment.

Now, a bit over a week ago, IDW Entertainment set up an Indiegogo campaign for Wynonna Earp - Season 1, exclusively on high-def (HD) Blu-ray Disc format. There's no specific ship date yet, but it's "Estimated September 2017" at this time. As is the case in these sorts of campaigns on Indiegogo, Kickstarter and similar crowdfunding websites, the price you pay depends on what rewards package you want to receive...but the basic cost for the Blu-ray Season 1 set ONLY, with nothing else, is $30 (U.S. Dollars) plus shipping costs (an "early bird" special for five dollars less has already sold out). On the disc you'll get:
  • All 13 episodes of Season One
  • Incredible behind-the-scenes content
  • Interviews with the cast
The campaign also notes that the "Blu-ray is coded region 0 (meaning they play worldwide)," that it is "Not available to ship to Australia" (they don't explain why not), and that there is "No DVD version, Blu-ray format only." There is "two months" left on the campaign, and as of this writing it has already received over 450 backers in it's first 8 days...achieving 77% of the $50,000 (USD) flexible goal. Sounds like it's a cinch to become fully funded! If you want to get in on this, just remember: it's "Only Available on IndieGogo"...so go get it! Actress, singer and dancer Vanessa Hudgens will join Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy as the third judge on this season of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. The season premiere, airing Monday, June 12 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, will mark Hudgens' judging debut in part-one of the Los Angeles auditions.

“I am so excited for Vanessa to join Mary and me on the judging panel for the 14th season of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. There was instant chemistry in the audition rounds, and I know the SYTYCD fans will love her as much as we do. Vanessa is an accomplished artist and brings her own brand of enthusiasm and energy to our panel,” said Lythgoe, who also executive-produces.

The 14th season of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE features highly skilled dancers between the ages of 18-30 who will showcase their talents in various dance styles, including contemporary, tap, hip-hop, ballroom, animation, breaking and more. The Top 10 dancers will be paired up with All-Stars who will guide them throughout the competition as they vie for America’s votes and the title of America’s Favorite Dancer.

During the audition rounds, the most talented dancers compete in front of the judges for a coveted spot at “The Academy” callback rounds in Los Angeles. At the end of “The Academy” callback rounds, each of this season’s 10 All-Stars will choose one dancer to move on to the SYTYCD stage and become part of this season’s Top 10. Once the Top 10 are chosen, the dancers will compete LIVE each week for America’s votes in different dance styles, working with world-renowned choreographers and dancing alongside the All-Stars. Millions of votes will be cast to determine which contestants will be eliminated each week until the winner is named America’s Favorite Dancer on the season finale.

Hudgens began her work in musical theater at a young age with shows such as “The Wizard of Oz,” ”The King & I,” “The Music Man” and “Cinderella.” In 2015, she made her Broadway debut, starring in the title role of the beloved Academy Award- and Tony Award-winning film and stage musical ”Gigi,” and in 2016 starred in FOX’s GREASE: LIVE, which was nominated for 10 Emmys and won five, the most ever for a Special Class program. In 2010, Hudgens won the ShoWest Award for “Female Star of Tomorrow.” Her film credits include the “Thirteen” and “Spring Breakers.” Other television credits include “High School Musical” and most recently co-starring in the action comedy “Powerless,” set in the DC universe.

(Silver Spring, MD) – TLC’s new series HAIR GODDESS follows Christina Oliva, the epitome of a self-made woman as she opens her first salon in Manhattan. At 18-years-old, this born and bred Staten Islander launched her own hair extension company from her parents’ garage. After only three years, Christina had fostered enough clientele to open a salon of her own on Staten Island, eventually hiring her sisters and cousin as employees. With her family behind her one hundred percent, she has built a world-renowned hair empire and now she’s ready for the next level – a salon in the heart of Manhattan. She quickly learns that Manhattan is a cut-throat world, vastly different from her tight-knit community at home on the island. Viewers follow Christina and her close-knit Italian-American family as they face the many challenges of running a salon, including the delicate balance between business and personal life, financial worries, and difficult employees. In addition, the six-part run premiering on Wednesday, June 28 at 10/9c will feature complete hair transformations performed by Christina in one of her salons.

One of the keys to Christina’s success is keeping it “in the family.” Even though they drive her crazy at times, her sister Victoria and cousin Anthony are her most trusted colleagues. Together with the rest of the staff, they create dramatic makeovers for the salon’s clientele ranging from a single mother who lost her hair to chemotherapy, to twin sisters eager to individualize their looks.
At the salon, Christina is the boss. But at home, Frank and Donna are matriarch and patriarch of the Oliva family. It’s clear where Christina got her hustling habits -  her dad has owned and operated several businesses since he started working at age sixteen.  Frank and Donna are traditional, and Donna’s ultimate goal is to see each one of her daughters fall in love, get married, move out and have babies … in that order! While they may have to wait to become grandparents, Christina’s parents are proud to see what their eldest daughter has accomplished and are committed to helping her weave her way to the top!

In an all-new episode of “The A.V. Club,” airing Thursday, June 1 @ 9PM on FUSION TV (channel listings), host, head writer and pop culture obsessive John Teti investigates the ‘endless summer’ phenomenon in which big budget, action movies, historically released in the warmer months, now invade our screens year-round. Additionally, Teti provides some tips on how to best battle blockbuster fatigue. Comedic duo and special guests Lucia Aniello & Paul W. Downs (Rough Night, “Broad City”) join John in-studio for the conversation.

The A.V. Club, the taste-making entertainment website, made its jump to TV this past March with a new comedy and commentary show on FUSION TV, hosted by editor-at-large John Teti. The inaugural season of, “The A.V. Club, airs Thursdays at 9PM on FUSION TV. The Chicago-based series features the editorial brains behind the iconic pop culture site sharing their distinct perspective on movies, music, television, and more.
