CBS and the Recording Academy® have confirmed the final slate of performers for THE 62^ND ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS®. Previously announced Gary Clark Jr. will be joined by The Roots to perform Clark’s GRAMMY-nominated song “This Land”; Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Trombone Shorty will unite to honor those we have lost this year in a touching “In Memoriam” tribute; and Sheila E. will take the stage with Usher for an exciting GRAMMY Salute to Prince.

In keeping with the tradition of presenting signature “GRAMMY® Moments,” CBS and the Recording Academy® have announced two special segments to take place on THE 62^ND ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS^®. The first, “Old Town Road All-Stars,” will feature current nominees Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus, joined by BTS, Diplo, Mason Ramsey and other surprise guests. In the past year, “Old Town Road” has been the subject of mixes and mashups, which inspired bringing together various acts who have performed it to create a one-of-a-kind performance. 

Additionally, to acknowledge the importance of music education in schools by both the longtime GRAMMY executive producer Ken Ehrlich and the Recording Academy, artists associated with Ehrlich’s 40-year career will gather to perform “I Sing the Body Electric” from the film “Fame.” The performance will feature current nominees Camila Cabello, Gary Clark Jr. and John Legend, joined by Debbie Allen, Joshua Bell, Common, Misty Copeland, Lang Lang, Cyndi Lauper, Ben Platt and the War and Treaty.

“To bring high-caliber artists like Camila Cabello, Cyndi Lauper, Common, Misty Copeland, Debbie Allen, Ben Platt, Gary Clark Jr., Joshua Bell and Lang Lang together on one stage fulfills a dream of mine,” said Ehrlich, who is completing his 40^th and final GRAMMY Awards as producer. “To be able to do this on the GRAMMY stage makes it unforgettable for me.”

We are honored to bring together this amazing group of artists to celebrate Nipsey’s life and pay tribute to his many contributions to music. It’s sure to be a memorable performance.”

The late Nipsey Hussle is nominated posthumously for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song (“Racks In The Middle”), and Best Rap/Sung Performance (“Higher”).

Fourteen-time GRAMMY winner Kirk Franklin is nominated for Best Gospel Performance/Song (“Love Theory”) and Best Gospel Album (Long Live Love).

GRAMMY^® nominee Blake Shelton, with a special appearance by three-time GRAMMY winner Gwen Stefani, has joined the roster of music superstars to sit for intimate interviews with CBS News’ Gayle King for THE GAYLE KING GRAMMY^® SPECIAL to be broadcast Thursday, Jan. 23 (10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. 

Shelton and Stefani join GRAMMY nominees Lizzo, Billie Eilish, the Jonas Brothers and Lil Nas X to be interviewed by King leading up to Music’s Biggest Night®, THE 62^ND ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS, broadcast live from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles Sunday, Jan. 26 (8:00-11:30 PM, live ET/5:00-8:30 PM, live PT) on CBS. 

Shelton and Stefani reveal they will be performing their duet titled “Nobody But You” live for the first time at THE 62^ND ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS. 

“I can already tell you that’s going to be one of the greatest rushes I’m ever going to experience, being on stage with Gwen Stefani at the GRAMMYS, doing our song together,” Shelton said. “The easiest thing in the world I’ve ever done is to sing any song with Gwen. And, you know, look in her eyes and just know we know what each other are thinking.”

In King’s news-making interviews, the artists reveal sides of themselves not seen before. Viewers will learn what goes on behind the scenes, and the artists will share never-before-heard intimate details of their lives.

Shelton, one of country music’s biggest stars, is an eight-time GRAMMY nominee, and this year, his song “God’s Country” is up for the Best Country Solo Performance statuette. The singer-songwriter has earned virtually every major country music honor and is also well known for his work as a coach on the competition series “The Voice.” He’s had 26 #1 singles, including “Home,” “God’s Country” and “Sure Be Cool If You Did.”

Stefani, an 18-time GRAMMY nominee with three wins, hit the charts as the lead singer of the band No Doubt, known for such hits as “Don’t Speak” and “It’s My Life.” She has also been hugely successful as a solo artist with the hits “Rich Girl,” “Hollaback Girl” and “The Sweet Escape.” Stefani has also served as a coach on “The Voice.”

Four-time GRAMMY-winning band Aerosmith first performed on the 33^rd GRAMMY Awards stage in 1991. This year, they are appearing as the MusiCares Person of the Year, being recognized for their considerable philanthropic efforts over five decades and undeniable impact on American music history. 

Making her GRAMMY performance debut, first-time GRAMMY nominee Billie Eilish is nominated for six awards including Record Of The Year (“Bad Guy”), Album Of The Year (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?), Song Of The Year (“Bad Guy”), Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance (“Bad Guy”), and Best Pop Vocal Album (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?). 

First-time nominee Lizzo will also take the stage for her first GRAMMY performance. With eight nominations, Lizzo is the most nominated artist of the year for Record Of The Year (“Truth Hurts”), Album Of The Year (Cuz I Love You [Deluxe]), Song Of The Year (“Truth Hurts”), Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance (“Truth Hurts”), Best R&B Performance (“Exactly How I Feel”), Best Traditional R&B Performance (“Jerome”), and Best Urban Contemporary Album (Cuz I Love You [Deluxe]).

Four-time GRAMMY-winning band Aerosmith first performed on the 33^rd GRAMMY Awards stage in 1991. This year, they are appearing as the MusiCares Person of the Year, being recognized for their considerable philanthropic efforts over five decades and undeniable impact on American music history. 

Making her GRAMMY performance debut, first-time GRAMMY nominee Billie Eilish is nominated for six awards including Record Of The Year (“Bad Guy”), Album Of The Year (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?), Song Of The Year (“Bad Guy”), Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance (“Bad Guy”), and Best Pop Vocal Album (When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?). 

First-time nominee Lizzo will also take the stage for her first GRAMMY performance. With eight nominations, Lizzo is the most nominated artist of the year for Record Of The Year (“Truth Hurts”), Album Of The Year (Cuz I Love You [Deluxe]), Song Of The Year (“Truth Hurts”), Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance (“Truth Hurts”), Best R&B Performance (“Exactly How I Feel”), Best Traditional R&B Performance (“Jerome”), and Best Urban Contemporary Album (Cuz I Love You [Deluxe]). 

Three-time GRAMMY winner Gwen Stefani will perform with current GRAMMY nominee Blake Shelton. Shelton is nominated this year for Best Country Solo Performance (“God’s Country”).

The GRAMMY® Awards action kicks off early when the special’s hosts interview music’s biggest stars. The team will cover the red carpet to get the inside scoop as things heat up before Music’s Biggest Night®. Billie Eilish, Lizzo, the Jonas Brothers and Lil Nas X to Be Featured on One-Hour Primetime Special

CBS News’ Gayle King will go one-on-one in a series of intimate interviews with today’s biggest hit-makers for THE GAYLE KING GRAMMY^® SPECIAL to be broadcast Thursday, Jan. 23 (10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The one-hour special will feature King up close with GRAMMY nominees Lizzo, Billie Eilish, the Jonas Brothers and Lil Nas X leading up to Music’s Biggest Night®, THE 62^ND ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS, broadcast live from STAPLES CENTER in Los Angeles Sunday, Jan. 26 (8:00-11:30 PM, live ET/5:00-8:30 PM, live PT) on CBS.

“I’m interested in what drives these artists. I want to know the person behind the image we see in public,” says King, co-host of CBS THIS MORNING. “They’ve each come from different backgrounds and different parts of the country, yet their music is relatable to everyone. They were all game for a candid conversation, and they came to play – which always leads to fun surprises.”

In King’s newsmaking interviews, the artists reveal sides of themselves not seen before. Viewers will see them making music, they’ll learn what goes on behind the scenes, and they’ll discover never-before-heard intimate details of their lives.

Rapper-singer Lizzo earned eight GRAMMY nominations this year, the most for any artist, including Record and Song Of The Year. Lizzo, whose real name is Melissa Jefferson, is one of the biggest stars in music, with such hits as “Juice,” “Truth Hurts” and “Good as Hell.” She is also the Time magazine entertainer of the year.

Singer-songwriter Eilish, at 18, is the youngest performer ever to earn GRAMMY nominations in all top four categories, including Best New Artist, and Song, Record and Album Of The Year. Her song “Bad Guy” hit the #1 spot on the Billboard chart.

The Jonas Brothers, Kevin, Joe and Nick, were once among the hottest pop groups in America. But in 2013 they split up. The brothers regrouped this year and for the first time grabbed the #1 spot on the Billboard 100 chart with their hit “Sucker.” They are now nominated for a GRAMMY in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category.

Lil Nas X, who was born Montero Lamar Hill, turned the country music world upside down with his country rap single “Old Town Road,” which went viral on the app TikTok, and then hit #1 on the Billboard chart. He’s earned six nominations, the most for any male artist in 2019, including Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year and Best New Artist.
