a new, original movie premiering Saturday, November 11, (8 p.m. ET/PT) on Hallmark Channel. Part of the network’s popular, annual “Countdown to Christmas” programming event, Jonathan Adams (“Last Man Standing”), Lara Gilchrist (“Goodnight for Justice”) and Lane Edwards (“Summer of Dreams”) also star. After breaking up with her long-term boyfriend just before the holidays, passionate baker Kylie (Chabert) reconnects with her high school sweetheart, Nick (Coco). Thanks to their newly rekindled friendship – and thanks to her sister Tina’s (Gilchrist) oven breaking – Kylie uses Nick’s restaurant to prepare for a gingerbread baking competition with a large cash prize that would help her open her own bakery. Spending time together – and with Nick’s son Bobby (Brenden Sunderland, “Marry Me at Christmas”) and friend Ralphie (Adams) – Kylie and Nick
start feeling a familiar spark, though neither one is ready to admit it. When Kylie’s former boyfriend Alex (Edwards) makes a surprise romantic gesture, though, both Kylie’s chances in the gingerbread baking competition and Kylie and Nick’s blooming romance are put into jeopardy. Kylie must use her creativity and baking skills to try and win both the competition and Nick’s heart. “The Sweetest Christmas” is a Crown Media production .
