Carl Winslow Comes Calling! Season Four of this beloved sitcom sees distant cousins Larry (Mark Linn-Baker) and Balki (Bronson Pinchot) become best friends as they learn to find success in work and life. However, they still grapple with money issues as they learn that playing poker, buying lottery tickets, appearing on game shows and other get-rich-quick schemes seldom lead to financial freedom. Thankfully, the ladies who live upstairs - Mary Anne (Rebeca Arthur) and Jennifer (Melanie Wilson) - continue to be involved in their misadventures, even when it comes to getting lost in the wilderness while on a state-of-the-art camping expedition. The boys make a new friend in Harriette's (Jo Marie Payton) policeman husband, Carl (Reginald Vel Johnson), when the Winslows move into their building, but it's a friendship that may be cut short when they betray his confidence in order to land a crime-busting scoop. Finally, Balki comes of age at 25 - and gets a wife? The Warner Archive Collection hasn't officially announced it yet, but we've got word for you that Perfect Strangers - The Complete 4th Season is on the way for DVD release as a manufacture on demand (MOD) set. Three weeks ago the Warner Archive released the long-awaited third season, some ten YEARS after the studio released into stores a set with the first and second seasons. The sitcom ran for eight seasons in all, and this release will get us to the halfway point. AND get us to television's introduction of Reginald VelJohnson (Die Hard) as "Carl Winslow," a character who would be spun off (along with Jo Marie Payton's "Harriette Winslow") into its own popular sitcom: Family Matters). As we said, the Warner Archive hasn't formally talked about this title yet, so we don't have a release date for you, or pricing. But we do know it's a 3-DVD set, and we also have an early look at the package art for this item, which you can take a peek at below. Stay tuned for updates, as further developments occur!

Season three of this sitcom classic brings some changes and some new faces. Larry (Mark Linn-Baker) escapes the discount store, and lands a new job as an assistant at the Chicago Chronicle newspaper. Cousin Balki (Bronson Pinchot) comes to visit Larry at work and, in a "redikolus" twist of fate, lands a job in the Chronicle's mail room! While Balki's supervisor, Sam Gorpley (Sam Anderson) connives to get Balki fired, the cousins befriend strong-willed working woman Harriette Winslow (Jo Marie Payton), who suffers no fools from the confines of the elevator she operates. Thankfully, the bighearted Harriette thinks of Larry and Balki as family, and family matters to her. Larry and Balki's friends from upstairs, Jennifer (Melanie Wilson) and Mary Anne (Rebeca Arthur), continue to help out in matters of life and love, as the boys continue to chase their dreams...one of which culminates in Balki's graduation from night school! Later, Larry's relationship with Jennifer matures. Meanwhile, Larry and Balki find themselves in some precarious situations. Fans have been waiting for this since Warner's release of The Complete 1st & 2nd Seasons in February 2008. Last summer we told you that more would be coming to DVD at long last. And now the wait will soon be over...so now we do the dance of joy! This past weekend (March 23-25) in Anaheim, California, the Warner Archive was present at the WonderCon 2018 Anaheim Comic-Con. While they were there, it was announced (including on the WBshop.com online studio store; see button link below) that the long-awaited DVD release of Perfect Strangers - The Complete 3rd Season is coming out on April 17th. Priced at $29.99 SRP for a manufacture on demand (MOD) title, the show's third season (out of 8 overall) had 22 episodes with guest stars such as Kimmy Robertson ("Lucy"; Twin Peaks), Lee Arenberg ("Grumpy/Leroy"; Once Upon a Time), Tony Longo ("Mad Dog"; 1st &Ten), Ted McGinley ("Jefferson D'Arcy"; Married...with Children), and Olympic medalist Carl Lewis as himself! Perfect Strangers - A Small Update About the Warner Archive's Plans for More DVDs They are still in-the-works, and are being planned as separate season sets

Back in early July we were very pleased to pass along word from the Warner Archive's page on Facebook, where they told a fan that, "The wait will soon be over for PERFECT STRANGERS. We will be releasing the rest of the series on DVD, with a formal announcement soon to come." It was great news, and fans are extremely happy. But now that four months have gone by, we don't blame fans for getting restless and wondering about that formal announcement. Yesterday one reader, "Marissa," asked on Twitter about it, addressing the question both to us @TVShowsOnDVD and also to @WarnerArchive: "any ideas on when there will be more updates on the release of the Complete Series of Perfect Strangers???" Warner shortly responded, "Not yet. But stay tuned. We're working on it." That's great to know, and we wanted to make sure that all of our readers (including those who don't tweet!) heard about those reassurances from the Warner Archive that more Perfect Strangers DVDs are still in the works. We also wanted to address a small bit of confusion which apparently arose from the social media exchange yesterday between Marissa and the Warner Archive. Marissa's question asked about "the Complete Series of Perfect Strangers," and Warner's positive response has left some fans feeling certain that the reply tweet was meant to "confirm" that the item being developed is "Perfect Strangers - The Complete Series." We here at TSoD were not so sure about that, however, since Warner Archives rarely (if ever) releases a "complete series" set of a TV show...certainly not one that ran for 8 seasons, like this one! We've therefore reached out to the Warner Archive Collection, and asked what their configuration plans were for Perfect Strangers: continued season sets, or an actual "complete series" package. The swift reply we got has verified that our instincts were correct. They told us, "We are not releasing one [set] of the complete series. We will be releasing each season separately, as we always do." So that's their plans! In the meantime we plan to sit back, relax, and enjoy all over again our 2008 release of The Complete 1st & 2nd Seasons on DVD, while we wait for the Warner Archive Collection to officially announce an MOD (manufacture on demand) release for Perfect Strangers - The Complete 3rd Season on DVD...with the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th seasons planned to follow afterward, each individually. Stay tuned, and we'll update you more, as further developments occur!

Beverly Hills, CA (July 27, 2017) - Today at the Television Critics Association's Summer Press Tour, Hulu announced a groundbreaking agreement with Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution that will make over 800 episodes from TGIF - America's favorite Friday night lineup from the 1990s - available to stream on SVOD for the first time ever in the U.S., only on Hulu. The company also revealed a second season pickup for its critically acclaimed drama series, Harlots, as well as a new original documentary feature around one of the world's most popular female icons, Barbie.
Hulu Lands Exclusive SVOD Streaming Rights to Over 800 Episodes of America's Favorite Friday Night Lineup

In a new agreement with Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, Hulu has acquired the exclusive, streaming, subscription video on-demand rights to all episodes of iconic series Full House, Family Matters, Step by Step, Perfect Strangers and Hangin' with Mr. Cooper. The pact, which includes over 800 episodes, will mark the streaming SVOD debut of America's favorite Friday night lineup from the 1990s.

The full libraries of all five beloved Warner Bros. comedies will launch exclusively in the U.S. on Hulu Friday, September 29th, on the heels of the 30th Anniversary of Full House and the 25th Anniversary of Hangin' with Mr. Cooper. "TGI-Hulu!"

"These shows are more than just beloved hits, they were part of a cultural tradition to tune in every Friday night," said Craig Erwich, Hulu's SVP of Content. "Now, it can be Friday any day of the week on Hulu."

"With this acquisition, Hulu is making available to their subscribers one of the most popular comedy blocks of programming ever," said Ken Werner, President, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. "These hit family comedies have entertained viewers for decades and will now be available on SVOD."

The new deal follows a string of significant content agreements that have made Hulu the streaming home to full libraries of fan favorite series including The Golden Girls, Seinfeld, The OC and more.
Critically Acclaimed Hulu Original Harlots Picked Up for Second Season

Erwich also revealed today that Hulu Original drama series Harlots has been picked up for a second season. Following its highly successful and provocative first season, the breakout series will return for season two in 2018. Set against the backdrop of 18th century Georgian London, Harlots follows the Wells family, led by matriarch Margaret (Samantha Morton). When her daughter Charlotte (Jessica Brown Findlay) places herself in the home of arch-rival bawd Lydia Quigley (Lesley Manville), their toxic and deep-set rivalry is taken to a dangerous new level. Inspired by the stories of real women, Harlots is a powerful family drama as explored from the female perspective. The series stars Manville, Brown Findlay and Morton and hails from the creative team of Moira Buffini, Alison Newman, Alison Owen, Debra Hayward and Alison Carpenter, with Coky Giedroyc returning as lead director and Grainne Marmion producing.

Hulu Expands Documentary Slate with New Untitled Barbie Documentary
Hulu also announced an exciting, new documentary about the iconic doll, "Barbie," that will join the service's ever-expanding slate of Original Docs, which currently includes the BAFTA and five-time Emmy nominated, Grammy-winning The Beatles: Eight Days A Week, Batman & Bill, Becoming Bond, Dumb and the upcoming Too Funny To Fail and Obey Giant. The Untitled Barbie Documentary will take a retrospective look at Barbie's unexpected origins to who she represents today. Being the most popular doll ever created, Barbie has become a fashion icon, a lightning rod and a target for feminists. This funny, revealing documentary, featuring newly discovered footage and unprecedented access to the inner workings of Mattel during Barbie's biggest reinvention, examines 60 years of women in popular culture through the lens of an 11.5 inch plastic celebrity. Featured interviews include Gloria Steinem, Roxane Gay, Peggy Orenstein, Mattel insiders, cultural historians, and other critics of popular media. Back in early 2008, Warner Home Video released The Complete 1st & 2nd Seasons on DVD...a title which continues to be available over nine years later. But since then there have been no additional releases for the 8-season-long sitcom starring Bronson Pinchot and Mark Linn-Baker. Why not? Later in 2008, Warner informed us that the primary hold-up was "higher music costs," along with related factors, and since then nothing seemed to have changed. However, this past Saturday, we were pleased to see that the Warner Archive Collection had a GREAT response to a question asked by a follower of their Facebook page! Christopher Hernadez asked, "Any word on when more Perfect Strangers tv series will be coming?" The Warner Archive responded with this terrific bit of info: "The wait will soon be over for PERFECT STRANGERS. We will be releasing the rest of the series on DVD, with a formal announcement soon to come." Christopher had also inquired about the Tony Randall-starring show, Love Sidney, and Warner responded that there would be nothing new to report at the moment on that front. That's too bad for Sidney fans; we'll keep an eye out for a change in that situation. But in the meantime, the thousands of fans we have at TVShowsOnDVD who have waited almost a decade for this news, it's time to celebrate! Enjoy your fireworks and parade extra-hard tomorrow.
