[L to R] Series stars, Dominique McElligott, Kelsey Grammer, Lily Collins, and Matt Bomer

Old Hollywood glamour made a triumphant return Thursday, July 27 at Amazon Prime Video’s premiere of The Last Tycoon at the Harmony Gold Preview House in Los Angeles. Series stars Matt Bomer, Kelsey Grammer, Lily Collins, and Dominique McElligott were in attendance, along with supporting cast members Chloe Guidry, Elise Eberle, Iddo Goldberg and Mark O’Brien.  Executive Producers Billy Ray, Christopher Keyser, among others were also in attendance as well as head of Amazon Studios Roy Price, Head of International Series at Amazon Studios Morgan Wandell and Amazon Studios development executive Marc Resteghini. Friends and family of the cast and special guests also came to support, including Greer Grammer, Zelda Williams, Ellen Pompeo, Jaime King, Garcelle Beauvais, Bar Paly, Diana Hopper, Ashley Madekwe and others.

Following a successful screening, the stars were transported to the Chateau Marmont for the after-party in gorgeous classic cars from the 1930’s (all of which were used in the filming of the new series) and were greeted by studio tour guides from Brady American Pictures, the fictitious film studio run by Pat Brady (Grammer). Inside, a three-piece band played as guests entered the space that was designed to look like the Brady American studio lot complete with Pat Brady’s office, an actress’ dressing room, and a film set. Guests were also able to “audition” for the director of the next Brady American Pictures film by doing their very own “screen test” photo opportunity. Towards the end of the night, guests, enjoyed music spun by DJ Zen Freeman while sipping specialty cocktails named after the show including “The Fitzgerald” and “Monroe Mules”. Additional party guests included Katharine McPhee, and Lea Michelle.

The Last Tycoon was part of Amazon's pilot season last year, a unique development process that gives all customers an opportunity to stream and review pilots in order to help choose the next Amazon Original Series that are then made available to Prime members. Below are what customers have said about the pilot:

· "A beautifully rendered, intelligent portrait of Hollywood in the 1930s, and exploration of the fascinating world of Irving Thalberg. For admirers of all that, and Fitzgerald's book - not to mention those who think 'they don't make them like they used to'-this show is a must-see."
· "An excellent drama with killer fashion and set design."

· "The overall quality and feel of the show is fantastic. The storyline quickly engages the viewer, pulling them into the world of Brady American Studios and 1930s Hollywood. All of the different elements meld together to bring a show that is a true masterpiece."

· "This has Emmy written all over it. Lots of times. Acting, directing, writing, sets & costumes; this thing has it all and we can believe the question about whether it gets produced isn't really a question at all."
