From Executive Producer Patti Stanger - In life and on her popular reality show, professional matchmaker Angie Dove (Danica McKellar) excels at pairing single people with their ideal mates. Shortly after proposing to his perfect match on Angie's show, her friend Aaron (Randy Thomas) is accused of murdering his fiancée. A disbelieving Angie launches her own investigation, cooking up clever gambits enabling her to gather clues and interview witnesses and suspects. She continuously crosses paths with Kyle Cooper (Victor Webster), a by-the-book detective who isn't exactly thrilled to find an amateur sleuth butting into his case. But he learns to appreciate the talents of the amateur sleuth, who is also the daughter of his onetime mentor, retired detective Nick Colomba (Bruce Boxleitner).

Co-created by New York Times puzzle editor Will Shortz, who also serves as puzzle master for NPR's "Weekend Edition" - When an old friend of New York Sentinel Crosswords editor Tess Harper (Lacey Chabert) is found murdered on the very day the Sentinel's crossword puzzle includes his proposal of marriage, Tess unofficially teams up with Lt. Logan O'Connor (Brennan Elliot) to find the killer. Together, they must assemble the pieces of a puzzle whose origins go all the way back to WWII Europe.

Co-created by New York Times puzzle editor Will Shortz, who also serves as puzzle master for NPR's "Weekend Edition" - When a magician drops dead in the middle of a performance, New York Sentinel Crosswords editor (and part-time sleuth) Tess Harper (Lacey Chabert) and NYPD's detective Logan O'Connor (Brennan Elliot) team up to discover exactly whose sleight of hand is behind what turns out to be a premeditated murder. Together, they must uncover the not-so-obvious clues and work their investigative magic to bring a killer to justice.

HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES HAS ALL-NEW SIGNATURE MYSTERY PREMIERES THROUGH OCTOBER

New Mystery “Matchmaker Mysteries” Premieres September 29th 

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – July 26, 2019 – Hallmark Movies & Mysteries announces it will launch all new signature mysteries through October.  Returning favorites include “Aurora Teagarden Mysteries,” “Chronicle Mysteries,” “Darrow & Darrow,” “Mystery 101,” “Ruby Herring Mysteries,” “Crossword Mysteries” and the premiere of the highly anticipated “Matchmaker Mysteries.”  The announcement was made today as part of Crown Media Family Networks’ biannual Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour. In “Matchmaker Mysteries” Danica McKellar (“The Wonder Years”) stars as Angie Dove, host of a popular Philadelphia-based reality show dedicated to helping single people find their soulmates.  Soon after one of her couples gets engaged on TV, the bride-to-be is murdered.  The eligible bachelor Angie proclaimed as her perfect match is arrested as the prime suspect.  Wanting to clear her client’s name, Angie uses all her matchmaking skills to evaluate the character and integrity of the suspects and cleverly gets them to reveal the truth about themselves.  Not shy, she’ll sweet-talk her way into a crime scene, face-off with a bouncer at a hot nightclub or even endure a dental exam to interrogate a key witness.  Victor Webster (“Younger,” “Continuum”) plays Kyle Cooper, a by-the-book detective who isn’t thrilled that Angie is launching her own investigation.  Much to his chagrin, he can’t help but admit when she’s unearthed valuable information that helps move the case forward.  Veteran actor Bruce Boxleitner (“Supergirl,” “NCIS”) rounds out the cast as Angie’s dad, Nick Colomba, a retired detective who is always on hand to give his daughter advice and support – both in life and in her amateur investigation.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – July 26, 2018 – Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is in development with Patti Stanger, star and executive producer of Bravo’s hit series “The Millionaire Matchmaker,” for “The Matchmaker Mysteries,” a new, original movie franchise with Danica McKellar (“Wonder Years”) set to star.  The announcement was made today as part of Crown Media Family Networks’ bi-annual Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour. McKellar will star as Patricia Sill, a professional matchmaker with a keen understanding of human nature that allows her to assess the lovelorn and successfully bring them together.  When one of her carefully vetted clients becomes the prime suspect in a murder mystery, Patricia is determined to get to the truth and clear her client’s name, as well as preserve her professional reputation.  As she investigates, Patricia bickers and banters with Sam Kaplan, the police officer working the case, but the growing mutual attraction between the two is no mystery. “We couldn’t be happier to be in business with Patti Stanger, whose vast experience helping people find true love brings a unique voice to the mystery genre,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Network Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks.  “Danica McKellar is a proven favorite among viewers and we’re thrilled to have her team up with Patti, which we know will be a perfect match.” An experienced, third generation matchmaker, Patti Stanger founded her company, the Millionaire’s Club, in January 2000, which works with clients on an individual basis by coaching them through each stage of the dating process by providing highly tailored feedback.  “The Matchmaker Mysteries” is executive produced by Stanger, Lance H.
