Jewel is a singer-songwriter, actress, author, entrepreneur and mindfulness expert who is passionate about health, equality, the relentless pursuit of wisdom and sharing it with others. Jewel has earned four GRAMMY Award nominations and has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. Touted as “one of the most richly idiomatic pop singers of her generation” by Rolling Stone, Jewel credits mentors Bob Dylan and Neil Young, who groomed and encouraged her as a young artist.

At the request of Johnny Cash’s son, John Carter Cash, Jewel will perform on an upcoming album that sets Johnny’s poems to music. In March 2018, Jewel debuted her first Cirque du Soleil show, “One Night for One Drop,” based on her life story, and she will appear at the Wynn Vegas, where she will perform her pop, rock and folk hits in a special two-night engagement, “JEWEL: Hits, Muses and Mentors.” Backed by her full band, Jewel will perform signature hits like “You Were Meant for Me” and “Foolish Games.”

Her most recent concert tours include the “Picking Up the Pieces” tour, during which she shared stories from her New York Times bestselling memoir, Never Broken – Songs Are Only Half the Story, which chronicles how she used hard work, grit and grace to survive and thrive as a child, living off the land with her family at their Alaskan homestead, with no plumbing or electricity, and the “Handmade Holiday Tour, which also featured her father, Atz, and family members Atz Lee and Nikos Kilcher. At 17, she received a partial scholarship to Interlochen Fine Arts Academy in Michigan, where she wrote songs with artful and profound lyrics, documenting her inner journey. Her early hit “Hands” spoke of “mindfulness” about 20 years before the term became popular. At age 19, during a bidding war between record companies, instead of taking the largest advance, Jewel made a back-end deal that generated millions of additional dollars.

An entrepreneur and philanthropist, Jewel recently partnered with Dr. Judson Brewer (of Yale University and University of Massachusetts) and other leading medical doctors to found the Never Broken Foundation, which, via the free interactive platform JewelNeverBroken.com, enables her to share the mindfulness tools she developed to convert her pain into resilience. She is also building a Whole Human curriculum for public schools, corporations and consumers with content that emphasizes mindfulness and emotional intelligence to give everyday people a “psychology for life,” so they can be the architects of their own life, rather than a passenger in a life they’ve inherited.

Philanthropy is important to Menzel who, in 2010, co-founded the A BroaderWay Foundation www.abroaderway.org, an organization dedicated to offering girls from underserved communities an outlet for self-expression and creativity through arts-centered programs, as a means of building self-esteem, developing leadership qualities and fostering personal and social achievements. Her work with the organization resulted in Menzel being named one of Variety’s Power of Women honorees.

While disguised as a middle- aged aspiring gym owner, Douglas finds two incredibly talented child gymnasts and interacts with a class of young gymnastics students, none of whom realize that their hero has secretly tumbled her way into their lives.

Gabby Douglas, a two-time member of the U.S. Olympic women’s national gymnastics team and three-time Olympic gold medalist, often referred to as “America’s Sweetheart,” is also an actress and two-time New York Times bestselling author (Grace, Gold & Glory: My Leap of Faith and Raising the Bar) who continues to break boundaries and inspire millions globally.

Douglas first gained national acclaim as an invaluable member of the gold-winning American team at the 2011 World Championship in Tokyo, Japan. As a member of the “Fierce Five” U.S. national women’s gymnastics team at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, the multi-talented artistic gymnast won the team gold medal and individual all-around gold medal. She made history by becoming the first woman of color of any nationality to win the Olympic individual all-around gold in gymnastics, and she was the first U.S. woman to win a team gold and all-around gold in the same Olympics. Douglas also made history by becoming the first U.S. reigning Olympic all-around gold medalist to return to a second World Championship in 2015 and win the all-around silver medal. At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she became the first U.S. all-around Olympic gymnastic champion to compete in a second Olympics and win another team gold medal.

Her numerous awards and recognitions include being named one of Barbara Walters’ “10 Most Fascinating People” in 2012, as well as the 2012 AP Female Athlete of the Year and Women’s Sport Foundation Sportswoman of the Year, and she has been featured on the covers of an array of magazines, such as TIME, People, Essence, Teen Vogue and Success. Additionally, in 2016 Mattel created the bestselling Gabby Douglas Barbie® Doll. Douglas continues to travel throughout the U.S., participating in various panels and speaking at colleges, universities, schools, youth groups and corporate company events.

In 2014 Douglas executive produced and made a cameo appearance in the opening of “The Gabby Douglas Story,” a Lifetime biopic about her fascinating rise and her family’s struggle to overcome obstacles. She was also an executive producer of “Douglas Family Gold,” a docuseries on the Oxygen Channel which followed her family during her journey to the 2016 Rio Olympics. Douglas played herself in the children’s series “Kickin’ It,” and she guest-starred in “The Vampire Diaries” and “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn,” among others. She was a judge for the 2016 Miss America pageant, a Season 10 judge on “So You Think You Can Dance” and a co-host for a season of “America’s Got Talent.”

In 2016 she debuted her entrepreneurial skills, launching her Gabbymoji app, an emoji in Gabby’s likeness, for iTunes and Google Play. In 2017 she released her own line of lip color products (under the name “Lip Whips”) in collaboration with Beauty Bakerie.

After being a target of online bullying, in 2016 Douglas began participating in AT&T’s “Later Haters” campaign, working to inspire teens to be more aware of their online actions and drown out haters with more positivity. The same year, she announced on “Good Morning America” that she was becoming the first Change Ambassador of Hack Harassment, a collaborative initiative launched by Intel, Vox Media, Recode and Born This Way Foundation with the goal of reducing the frequency and prevalence of online harassment.
