The Arts Network Will Air The Twelfth Season of Fan-Favorite Murdoch in April and the First Season of Frankie Drake in June

Los Angeles, CA - January 7, 2018 - Continuing the tradition of airing premium content on Saturday nights, Ovation will premiere the twelfth season of its perennial fan-favorite Murdoch Mysteries and the first season of newcomer Frankie Drake Mysteries in Q2 2019. Formerly known as The Artful Detective on Ovation, the arts network will now air the mystery series under its original, international title. Season 12 of Murdoch Mysteries will premiere back-to-back episodes on Ovation on Saturday, April 20 at 7pm ET / 4pm PT. Season One of Frankie Drake Mysteries will premiere on Ovation on Saturday, June 15 at 9pm ET / 6pm ET, immediately following the season 12 finale of Murdoch Mysteries. The DVD will be available for a suggested retail price of $49.99. Each episode has a running time of approximately 44 minutes each with the entire series running 484 minutes.

Starring Lauren Lee Smith (The Listener, This Life), “FRANKIE DRAKE MYSTERIES” follow’s Toronto’s only female private detective in the 1920s as she takes on the cases the police don’t want or can’t handle. London, [11 October 2018] - Critically acclaimed detective drama Frankie Drake Mysteries continues to enthrall viewers worldwide as Ovation, America's only arts network, signs U.S. broadcast rights to two seasons (21 x 60'). Ovation joins a host of international broadcasters that have signed the brand new second season - which debuts at MIPCOM 2018 as part of leading global distributor Kew Media Distribution's new drama slate.

Set in 1920s Toronto, following the city's only female private detectives as they take on the cases the police don't want to touch, Frankie Drake Mysteries is a CBC Original series developed and produced by Shaftesbury in association with CBC and UKTV.

Season one of Frankie Drake Mysteries will premiere to U.S. audiences on Ovation in June 2019. In addition to the new two-season deal with Ovation, the new ten-part second season has been renewed in a pan territory deal with Viasat for Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Globosat in Brazil, Sky in New Zealand, and Dazzler in UK (Home Video and DTO). The new fifth season of the award-winning, critically acclaimed thriller Line of Duty (6 x one hour) from World Productions will make its debut, alongside the brand new instalment in the Bletchley Circle franchise - The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco (8 x one hour, An Omnifilm Entertainment production in association with BritBox LLC and World Productions).

Arlington, Va. – August 2, 2018 – PBS Distribution announced today that the first season of the exciting 11-part female-driven crime mystery series FRANKIE DRAKE MYSTERIES will premiere on the PBS MASTERPIECE Prime Video Channel and in PBS Passport beginning August 20, 2018.

Set against a backdrop of social change, radical politics and jazz music, the series featuring the fearless, adventurous and astute Frankie Drake who defies expectations, is immersed in both the real Toronto of the 1920s and the world of mystery and suspense conjured by creators Carol Hay and Michelle Ricci (Murdoch Mysteries).

A new episode of the FRANKIE DRAKE MYSTERIES will be available each Monday on PBS MASTERPIECE Prime Video Channel by subscription.  New episodes will also be available each Monday via PBS Passport, a member benefit for PBS station donors that offers extended access to a rich library of public television programming (contact your local PBS station for details).

Starring Lauren Lee Smith (The Listener, This Life), FRANKIE DRAKE MYSTERIES follow’s Toronto’s only female private detective in the 1920s as she takes on the cases the police don’t want or can’t handle. Her gender is her biggest advantage – who would ever think a woman could be a detective? She has a knack for solving cases but she’s no cop – her brand of justice doesn’t always follow the law. Along with her partner Trudy (Chantel Riley; Race, The Lion King), Frankie and the Drake Detective Agency take on cases of all shapes and sizes. From airplanes and booze running to American G-men, Communists and union busters, Frankie’s fearless sense of adventure gets her into all kinds of trouble, but she always manages to find her way out. In a time of change and hopefulness, Frankie is a woman ahead of everyone. She’s a new detective for a new world. But is the world ready for her?

The ensemble cast also includes: Chantel Riley, Rebecca Liddiard, Sharron Matthews, Grace Lynn Kung, and Emmanuel Kabongo. An array of high-profile guest stars including Laurence Fox (Gosford Park, Elizabeth: The Golden Age), Wendy Crewson (Air Force One, Room), Steve Lund (Helmock Grove), Melanie Scrofano (Saw VI, RoboCop), Kris Holden-Reid (Underworld Awakening, K-19: The Widowmaker), and Laura Vandervoort (Smallville, Jigsaw, V), appear throughout the series.

Entertainment One Films Canada ("eOne") has scheduled the CBC series starring Lee Smith (a.k.a. Lauren Lee Smith, Mutant X) for DVD release on May 8th with Frankie Drake Mysteries - Season 1.
