“American Idol: Meet Your Finalists” – On the heels of last night’s incredible performances and reveal of the remaining Idol contestants, ABC will air “American Idol: Meet Your Finalists,” a two-hour “American Idol” special episode. The special will take a deep dive into each finalist’s journey on “American Idol” thus far, highlighting new, never-before-seen songs, stories, performances and footage from “American Idol,” as well as revisiting favorite moments from this season. America will have a chance to get to know each finalist individually as they share their stories in hopes of capturing America’s heart and future vote on MONDAY, APRIL 22 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT/5:00-7:00 p.m. PDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand. Live performance shows and voting will resume with an all-new episode on SUNDAY, APRIL 28.

Following a nationwide search for talent, “American Idol”‘s crop of hopefuls continue to fight for their shot at superstardom. Helping to find the next singing sensation are music industry legends and all-star judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Emmy® Award-winning host and producer Ryan Seacrest hosts the beloved series and famed multimedia personality Bobby Bones acts as in-house mentor.

“American Idol” is produced by Fremantle and Industrial Media’s 19 Entertainment. Executive producers include Fremantle’s Trish Kinane, also serving as showrunner, Jennifer Mullin, Megan Wolflick and Industrial Media’s Chris Anokute. Fremantle distributes the series worldwide.

Sunday Will Also Kick Off the Coast-to-Coast Simul-Vote for the First Time This Season
“214 (Disney Night)” – “American Idol”’s Top 10 contestants head to The Happiest Place On Earth, Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, to prepare for the next phase of the competition, Disney Night. The finalists will be joined by celebrity mentor Rebel Wilson, who will offer up her pitch-perfect expertise as the superstar hopefuls prepare for their Disney-themed performances. All-star judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie will perform a timeless Disney song in Disneyland Park’s Fantasyland. The Top 10 will then return to the iconic Idol stage in Los Angeles to perform fan-favorite Disney songs, in hopes of winning America’s heart and vote for a spot in the Top 8. Joining the Top 10 to perform the beloved song “Under the Sea” from Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” is singer and actress Lea Michele. Also, America’s sweethearts, ABC’s Season 1 “American Idol” winner, Maddie Poppe, and runner-up Caleb Lee Hutchinson, return to the stage to sing a Disney classic during a special duet performance. The magic takes place SUNDAY, APRIL 21 (8:00–10:01 p.m. EDT/5:00-7:01 p.m. PDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

After making history last season as the first reality competition series on American television to allow viewers to watch and vote from coast to coast simultaneously, “American Idol” kicks off its simulcast once again in all time zones across the country. For this episode, viewers will be able to vote by text, via AmericanIdol.com/vote and on the “American Idol” app during the show. Results will be revealed at the end of the show in real time, across all time zones. The episode will be rebroadcast during its normal time slot on Sunday at 8:00-10:01 p.m. PDT on the West Coast.

Helping to determine who America will ultimately vote to become the next singing sensation are music industry legends and all-star judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Emmy® Award-winning host and producer Ryan Seacrest hosts the beloved series, and famed multimedia personality Bobby Bones acts as in-house mentor.

The Top 14 Perform and America’s Vote Kicks Off on ABC’s ‘American Idol,’ Sunday, April 14

“212 (Top 14)” – After the “American Idol” Top 20 tackled solo and celebrity duet performances, the judges narrowed down the field, revealing the Top 14 finalists. Now, they are handing over the reigns to America, who will vote to crown the next “American Idol.” In this episode, the Top 14 contestants will perform on the iconic Idol stage for the first time, in hopes of winning over the hearts of viewers and being voted through to the next phase of the competition. The search for America’s next superstar continues on The ABC Television Network, SUNDAY, APRIL 14 (8:00–10:01 p.m. EDT), streaming and on demand.

Voting will open at the top of the show on Sunday, April 14 at 8:00 p.m. EDT, and will close the following morning, Monday, April 15 at 9:00 a.m. EDT. You can vote online at AmericanIdol.com/vote, in the American Idol app or via text. You can vote 10 times per contestant, per method.

American Idol to Make History with the First-Ever Coast-to-Coast Simul-Vote

ABC’S ‘AMERICAN IDOL’ TO MAKE HISTORY WITH THE FIRST-EVER COAST-TO-COAST SIMUL-VOTE

For the first time in the history of American television, a reality-competition series will allow viewers to watch and vote from both coasts simultaneously as “American Idol” is simulcast in all time zones across the country over a three-week span, starting SUNDAY, APRIL 29 (8:00–10:01 p.m. EDT/5:00-7:01 p.m. PDT), on The ABC Television Network. Viewers will be able to vote by text, via AmericanIdol.com/vote and on the American Idol app. Results will be revealed at the end of each show in real time, across all time zones.

 “We set out on a journey to find the best talent this nation has to offer,” said Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment. “As we head into the next phase of the ‘American Idol’ competition, it only makes sense to let every viewer from coast to coast experience the magic of live television and have the ability to vote for America’s next superstar.”

 As the country gears up for next week’s historic nationwide viewing, don’t miss TONIGHT’S all-new episode. America’s votes are in and the Top 14 take to the “American Idol” stage LIVE for performances and elimination results, as the search for America’s next singing sensation continues and the Top 10 are revealed, from (8:00–10:00 p.m. EDT), streaming and on demand. Joining superstar judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie is Emmy® Award-winning host and producer, Ryan Seacrest.
