A turbocharged miniseries geared toward kids (age 6–11) and their families, “Fast Layne” features eight can’t-miss episodes full of humor, mystery, action and adventure.

Twelve-year-old Layne Reed has her overly-organized life scheduled down to the minute, including homework, music lessons and a ton of extracurricular activities. She’s even found time to run for president of her middle school. Her life is turned upside down when, along with her free-spirited neighbor Zora, she discovers a tech-enhanced talking car named “VIN” hidden beneath an abandoned shed in her backyard.

A mischievous VIN convinces the girls to release him from his confinement, and with a shout of his favorite catchphrase—”Cue tire squeal!”—takes them on an exciting joyride around the neighborhood. However, they soon realize that VIN is being pursued by a pair of mysterious villains who are determined to capture him. Layne decides to help her new friend, but first, she must figure out why he was created—and who built him.

Luckily, Layne can turn to her classmate Cody, a smart and charming boy who works in his Abuelo’s garage and has a talent for fixing cars, even complicated ones like VIN. She also navigates prodding questions from her younger cousin Mel, a nosy survivalist-in-training who is determined to uncover her secret. In the meantime, as she joins together with Zora, Cody and VIN to outsmart the bad guys, Layne faces her fears and learns important lessons about friendship, teamwork and standing up for what you believe.

“Fast Layne” stars Sophie Pollono (“The Young and the Restless”) as Layne Reed, Sofia Rosinsky (“The Other Side of the Door”) as Zora Morris, Brandon Rossel (“The Outsiders Club”) as Cody Castillo, Winslow Fegley (“Teachers”) as Mel and Nate Torrence (“Star vs. the Forces of Evil”) as the voice of VIN. Recurring cast members include Enid-Raye Adams and David Milchard as Layne’s parents, Cheryl and Rob; Diana Bang as Kwon; Michael Adamthwaite as Riggins; Caitlin Howden as Aunt Betty; Reese Alexander as Principal Mugbee and Ty Consiglio as Jasper Mapes.

Travis Braun (Disney Junior’s “T.O.T.S.,” “Vampirina,” “Puppy Dog Pals” and “Muppet Babies”) created the series and served as co-executive producer. LIMITED SERIES ‘FAST LAYNE’

Production is underway on the new Disney Channel live-action limited series "Fast Layne," a fun-fueled action-comedy executive produced by Matt Dearborn and Tom Burkhard (Disney Channel’s Emmy®-Award-nominated "Even Stevens," "Zeke and Luther") and set to premiere in 2018. Travis Braun ("Vampirina") created the series and will serve as co-executive producer and Hasraf Dulull ("Origin Unknown," "The Beyond") will direct the first two episodes.

Twelve-year-old over-achiever Layne, played by Sophie Pollono ("The Young and the Restless"), finds her orderly life thrown into a tailspin when she discovers a sophisticated talking car named "V.I.N." hidden in an abandoned shed. With the help of her eccentric neighbor Zora, played by Sofia Rosinsky ("The Other Side of the Door"), Layne embarks on a high-speed adventure filled with bad guys, secret agents and other surprises to unlock the mystery behind V.I.N.’s creation.

Also starring in "Fast Layne" are Brandon Rossel ("The Outsiders Club") as Cody, a cute boy at Layne’s school with a talent for fixing cars, and Winslow Fegley ("Teachers") as Mel, Layne’s nosy younger cousin who is determined to uncover her secret.
