BURBANK, Calif.--June 26, 2018-- Nickelodeon is bringing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, INVADER ZIM and more to life at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2018 through one-of-a-kind virtual and real-world experiences that will have fans saying, "Cowabunga"! Headquartered at its 1,800 square-foot booth (#4113) on the convention floor, Nickelodeon will showcase: Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the all-new, reimagined series that follows the band of brothers as they seek to unlock the mystical secrets of New York City; the upcoming INVADER ZIM original TV movie; the return of Double Dare, a reboot of the iconic game show; the hit animated series The Loud House, which follows 11-year-old Lincoln Loud's life with his 10 sisters; and Reptar from Rugrats, who will tower over Nick's space.

Select fans have the opportunity to interact with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in "Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Live," a virtual reality experience that immerses users in the Turtles' iconic New York City world and allows them to have a conversation with Mikey or Donnie - voiced live on the scene by Brandon Mychal Smith and Josh Brener, respectively. More details will be available soon for this off-site opportunity.

The "Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Live" experience is created by Nickelodeon's Entertainment Lab, the network's division that spearheads research and development efforts around new technologies such as virtual reality, mixed-reality, augmented reality and artificial intelligence for Nick and its audience. Nickelodeon's Entertainment Lab debuted Slime Zone, its first social virtual reality experience at IMAX VR centres globally in 2018, and recently announced a financial investment in Dreamscape Immersive, the location-based VR startup, whereby both entities have committed to produce an experience using Nick's IP for kids and families.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back with Nickelodeon's brand-new mutation of New York's half-shell heroes with a panel that celebrates the latest incarnation of Turtles and reinvention of the world famous franchise. Joining the discussion is the new voice cast--Omar Miller as Raph, Ben Schwartz as Leo, Josh Brener as Donnie, Brandon Mychal Smith as Mikey, Kat Graham as April O'Neil, and Eric Bauza as Splinter--along with the co-executive producers Andy Suriano and Ant Ward, and legendary voice director Rob Paulsen. Friday, July 20, 1:00p.m. - 2:00p.m. (Room: 6A): Fans will strap on their tuna-filled jetpack, prepare their bladders for imminent release, and start singing the doom song as their favorite Irken invader returns to San Diego with a panel that dives into Nickelodeon's forthcoming new movie, INVADER ZIM: Enter the Florpus. Original series creator Jhonen Vasquez, art director Jenny Goldberg, and voice talent--Richard Horvitz (ZIM), Rikki Simons (GIR), Wally Wingert (Almighty Tallest Red) and Kevin McDonald (Almighty Tallest Purple)--will present behind-the-scenes art and exclusive brand-new footage. Experience the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle saga in this totally tubular 23-disc set of the original animated series, featuring all 10 seasons in one complete cowabunga collection! From their origins on the comic book page to the depths of Dimension X and beyond, the pizza- loving, shell-busting Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo, with the guidance of their Sensei, have been delighting fans for decades with their turtle power. Whether it's facing fierce enemies Krang, Shredder and Lord Dregg, saving humanity from near extinction, or battling against life-altering mutations, the half-shell heroes are always ready for heart-stopping, time-bending, straight outta the sewer action! Information about this pizza pie isn't fully baked just yet, but the rumor among retailers in the home video industry is that Lionsgate is planning on re-releasing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Complete Classic Series Collection, with all 10 seasons of the original 1987 animated series! This 23-DVD set was originally released back in late 2012, and the discs came inside "an exclusive, plastic molded collectible 'party van' package"" back in the day. It was priced at $99.98 SRP when it first came out. That set has since been discontinued from production (although it can still be found offered here and there by a few sellers). Now we're being told by our industry contacts that Lionsgate wants to bring this title back! What's unclear, however, is if this is going to be the exact same item in the same collectible packaging (perhaps to herald the upcoming Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series coming to Nickelodeon this fall?), or if it's going to be the identical discs in new "shelf-friendly" packaging (like most other releases routinely come). All we know right now is that the industry contacts we have are telling us to expect this in mid-June, probably on June 12th. Pricing, package art imagery, and any possible changes in content versus the old set haven't been revealed thus far. Just the title, timeframe, and that it's expected to be the same count of 23 DVDs as the previous item with the same title. We'll keep an eye on this, of course, so stay tuned!

Nickelodeon has announced the March 21st DVD release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Tales of the Turtles V1: Super Shredder. This 2-disc set will cost $16.99 SRP for eleven episodes. Here's an early look at the cover art (may not be finalized, and could be subject to change) and an Amazon.com pre-order button link:
