Season Four sees the young staff of the King's Tower enter into a new maturity while its proprietors begin to make plans to step aside. Fancy (Garcelle Beauvais) and Braxton (Christopher B. Duncan) get promoted to Director of Sales and General Manager, respectively, while Jamie King (Jamie Foxx) lands a new gig altogether! While remaining close to his aunt and uncle (Ellia English and Garrett Morris) and continuing to call the hotel home, Jamie realizes that working there has been holding him back from his dreams, and gets a job writing commercial jingles. It may not be his dream job, but it's a foot in the door. The future looks even brighter when Fancy admits to Jamie that she loves him. Jamie always knew that Fancy would come around...and he was right. Now they must navigate their relationship as they evolve from being coworkers and friends to a couple in this 3-disc, 24-episode collection. The Warner Archive Collection has announced that The Jamie Foxx Show - The Complete 4th Season is coming to DVD on October 24th, as an MOD (manufacture on demand) title available from online sellers. It's only been a couple of months since the second season finally became available on DVD...after a 12-year-long wait from the first season's release! Now the Warner Archive seems to be moving quickly to get the middle season out of the sitcom's five-year run. The studio hasn't announced it yet, but overnight a new Amazon listing appeared for The Jamie Foxx Show - The Complete 3rd Season on DVD. The big e-tailer isn't taking pre-orders for it yet, though, and their entry for the title has no info available as of this writing. Checking other sources, however, we find that this will be available starting June 27th, at a price of $29.99 SRP. The Warner Archive Collection is putting this out, so it will be an MOD (manufacture on demand) release, like the second season was. Below is a first look at the cover art. It's an incredible Oscar-night soiree. The champagne is flowing; the flash of paparazzi cameras is blinding; and at the center of it all is Hollywood's hottest new sensation, Jamie King…Then, an alarm clock sounds, and Jamie is awakened from his 1,566,132nd dream of stardom. Arriving in Hollywood, Jamie King is a young man on a mission: the "Big Time." But it's going to be the "Big Time" via The King's Towers, the aging but once-famous Los Angeles hotel where Jamie works in exchange for room and board. For Jamie, the best part about working at The King's Towers is the hotel's run-down cocktail lounge, where he can hone his skills as an entertainer. Held captive as a built-in audience is the hotel staff, including Franchesca "Fancy" Monroe, the drop-dead bombshell of Jamie's dreams who runs the front desk and naturally won't give him the time of day. That's okay with Jamie. She'll come around. Eventually. A week ago we broke the news that the long-awaited DVD release for The Jamie Foxx Show - The Complete 2nd Season is coming at last! But we'll have to wait just a tiny bit longer than we thought, however. In our previous report, we passed along word from the VideoETA site that this title was being planned as a Warner Archive MOD release for February 14th. Now Warner has finalized their plans, and announced it to become available on March 7th. The 3-disc set will cost $29.99 SRP, and below is a first look at the front package cover art. There's also a link to Amazon.com's listing for the title, but they're not accepting pre-orders just yet...soon, though!

The Complete 1st Season came to stores on DVD way back in early 2005. After a dozen years, Warner seems to finally be following up with The Jamie Foxx Show - The Complete 2nd Season on DVD! According to VideoETA, a site produced by distributor Ingram Entertainment, the Warner Archive Collection will release this on February 14th, as a manufacture on demand title available through online sellers (such as Amazon's CreateSpace MOD program, for example...but it's not listed there just yet!). Cost will be $29.98 SRP. Details and package art haven't been made available yet. When broadcast in 1997-98, the second season of the sitcom (out of five in all) had 22 episodes. Foxx was joined by Garcelle Beauvais, Garrett Morris, Ella English, and Christopher B. Duncan. Mark Curry was a recurring guest star, and other guests this season included The Baka Boys (as themselves), Clifton Powell, Chris Parnell, Tichina Arnold, Mary J. Blige, Helen Martin, Kellita Smith, Orlando Brown, and singers Jo Jo and K-Ci Hailey (as themselves). Stay tuned for updates, as further developments occur!
