AMC’s “THE WALKING DEAD” RELEASES SPECIAL EDITION DIGITAL TOPPS TRADING CARDS FEATURING NFL PLAYERS TURNED WALKERS FROM NEW ENGLAND, ATLANTA AND MORE

THE BIGGEST SHOW ON TELEVISION MEETS THE BIG GAME
AMC’s “THE WALKING DEAD” RELEASES SPECIAL EDITION DIGITAL TOPPS TRADING CARDS FEATURING NFL PLAYERS TURNED WALKERS FROM NEW ENGLAND, ATLANTA AND MORE
“The Walking Dead” Returns as Football Season Ends with Highly Anticipated
Second Half of Season 7 Starting on Sunday, February 12 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT

NEW YORK, NY, February 3, 2017 – Just in time for the Big Game, AMC’s “The Walking Dead” has released a special-edition digital card set featuring “zombie-fied” professional football players from the New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons, and more. Greg Nicotero, executive producer, director and special FX make-up designer for “The Walking Dead,” has created hand-drawn walkers out of Malcolm Jenkins, Geno Atkins, Cole Beasley, Jesse James, Shea McClellin and John Kuhn, among others, on digital trading cards that football and series fans can collect, at no charge, for a limited time.

“The Walking Dead,” now in its seventh season, is the No. 1 show on television. With The Walking Dead: Card Trader app from Topps Digital, fans can collect over 5,000 cards that feature favorite characters, thrilling moments and locations from the show, and trade with fellow fans around the world. The app is available in the App Store and Google Play Store with hot new digital card releases daily including never-before-seen content covering the entire history of the TV phenomenon. This special-edition set is part of a co-branded licensing effort with the NFL Players Association, and made possible through Topps Digital – which is a mutual licensee.

“As far as we’re concerned the only thing missing from the Big Game is zombies, and we are pleased to rectify that with these special edition ‘The Walking Dead’ cards,’” said Theresa Beyer, senior vice president, brand activation and promotions, AMC. “As the #No. 1 show on television for five years running, ‘The Walking Dead’ has a huge fan base that includes many pro football players who enthusiastically signed up to become zombified walkers. We are committed to serving our passionate fans in a variety of ways and can’t think of a better way to celebrate the Big Game and the return of ‘The Walking Dead’ on February 12 than these special edition cards.”

A sentiment echoed by Malcolm Jenkins of the Philadelphia Eagles, “I am a huge fan of ‘The Walking Dead,’” Jenkins said. “In fact, preparing for a zombie apocalypse is my off season hobby. So I had to jump on the opportunity to become one through the NFLPA’s collaboration with AMC and Topps Digital. I’m excited to see how the other players’ artwork comes out. I think mine turned out pretty cool – I make an excellent zombie.”

As football season ends, “The Walking Dead” returns. The highly anticipated second half of Season 7 of “The Walking Dead” starts on Sunday, February 12 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. “The Walking Dead” is executive produced by showrunner Scott M. LOS ANGELES - FOX Sports today announced that it will offer a live, non-authenticated stream of Super Bowl LI on FOX Sports GO, the streaming platform that showcases all of FOX Sports' live events and studio programming. For the first time ever, a live stream of the Super Bowl will feature local advertisement integration. More than 170 FOX affiliates around the country have already committed to partnering with FOX Sports to program local digital ads. Participating affiliates will have access to same ad inventory for both the linear and digital broadcasts of the February 5 game.

FOX Sports President, COO and Executive Producer Eric Shanks said: "As part of the buildup to this year's Super Bowl, we're committed to creating the best possible experience for fans by dramatically expanding the ways and places in which they can watch the game. Our pioneering collaboration with our affiliates to allow streaming local ad insertions will make commercials even more relevant for viewers and help make this year's game even more of a personal experience for every fan."
Brian Jones, EVP & COO of Nexstar Broadcasting Group, and Chairman of the FOX Affiliates Board of Governors added: "We're excited that this year's Super Bowl will showcase the unique relationship of FOX and its local affiliates which allows us to collaborate on innovations such as this. FOX Sports Teams with Intel for New Player's-Eye View of Super Bowl LI

FOX Sports Teams with Intel for New Player's-Eye View of Super Bowl LI
FOX Sports introduces the "Be the Player" enhancement, a feature that displays a POV perspective from any player on the field without ever having a physical camera attached to the player.
[via press release from FOX Sports] FOX SPORTS TEAMS WITH INTEL FOR NEW PLAYER'S-EYE VIEW OF SUPER BOWL LI
Unique Technology the Latest from FOX Sports Lab in Year that Saw Aggressive Use of Virtual Reality, Aerial Drones, Big Data & New Cameras
Davies: 'From the Beginning, Seeing and Breaking Down the Play from the Player's Point of View is the Undiscovered Country of Sports Broadcasting'
FOX Sports, through its FOX Sports Lab initiative, is delivering on its ongoing investment in production technology and its effort to team with technology leaders with a first-of-its kind Super Bowl LI project that gives viewers a truly unique field-of-vision perspective of the most-watched sporting event of the year.
Using technology provided by Intel, FOX Sports introduces the "Be the Player" enhancement, a feature that displays a POV perspective from any player on the field without ever having a physical camera attached to the player.
"We tasked Intel to push their amazing Intel 360 Replay technology to the limit of what it could do, using their array of cameras circling the stadium to synthesize a player's view on the field," said Michael Davies, FOX Sports SVP of Field & Technical Operations. "The cameras, backed up by a huge bank of Intel computing power, allow a moment to be recreated in 3D space, so that a 'virtual camera' can be placed at the player's eye line -- not unlike how limitless camera views can be created in video games.
"From the beginning, seeing and breaking down the play from the player's point of view is the undiscovered country of sports broadcasting," Davies added. This broadcast enhancement is like no other -- it literally brings the audience down to the viewpoint of the player at the critical decision-making moment. What other choices did he have? Was his sight blocked? It all looks much different from field level, and can assist our announcers in describing what actually happened on the field."
The FOX Sports Super Bowl LI production effort includes more Super Motion and 4K cameras than ever before, and will use three production trucks and more than 30 cameras to deliver more than 20 hours of programming a day from Discovery Green in Houston, in addition to 70-plus cameras at NRG Stadium covering the game.
"We, as broadcasters, are always trying to provide the viewer with something they've never seen before," said Zac Fields, FOX Sports SVP Graphic Technology and Innovation. "With this new 'Be the Player' technology, it is now achievable and we are incredibly excited to debut this at the Super Bowl on FOX."
FOX Sports Lab, a designed approach to exploring technical partnerships that give viewers a fresh perspective and ad sales teams more targeted sports integrations, had a busy year in 2016, using aerial production drones at the U.S. Open Championship, as well as teaming with a pair of industry leading virtual reality companies to deliver a VR broadcast of more than a dozen major sporting events, including the Daytona 500, a Premier Boxing Champions title fight, the Big East, the U.S. Open Championship, Men's Basketball Tournament, the Bundesliga season opener and multiple college football games, each progressing the rapidly evolving technology.
In addition, FOX Sports teamed with GoPro in November to offer a first-ever POV camera from the hat of referees working the Big Ten Championship Game.
