Culinary Boot Camp Opens Sunday, January 5th at 9pm ET/PT on Food Network
NEW YORK - November 25, 2019 - For the first time, Alton Brown is joining Anne Burrell to transform a roster of terrible cooks into culinary shape with challenges bigger and crazier than ever in a brand-new season of Worst Cooks in America. The fan-favorite series pits two teams of atrocious cooks, one led by Alton and the other by Anne, against each other in a rigorous kitchen boot camp designed to transform their food skills. In the end, only the one recruit who makes the most impressive culinary improvement wins a $25,000 cash prize and bragging rights for their team leader. The ten-episode season premieres on Sunday, January 5th at 9pm (all times ET/PT) on Food Network.

"Our viewers know anything can, and does, happen on Worst Cooks and kicking off the New Year with a new season has become a tradition," said Courtney White, President, Food Network. "Having Alton join Anne at boot camp delivers more unexpected moments than ever."

This season's recruits are: Shannon Akins (Tempe, Arizona); Lulu Boykin (Pittsboro, North Carolina); Monica Colwell (Hazard, Kentucky); Joe Deese (Fulton, Alabama); Jefferson Goldie (Chicago, Illinois); Ryan Grovey (Seattle, Washington); Michael Jones-Better (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania); Dakota Klaes (New York, New York); Leo Lech (Washington, West Virginia); Curtis Long (Seneca, South Carolina); Kelly Ngoc Mac (Pasadena, California); Bridget Praytor (Colorado Springs, Colorado); Leslie Rivera-Silva (Washington D.C.); Jolynn Singh (Allen, Texas); Kevin So (Brooklyn, New York) and Alexandra Tiso (Eastchester, New York).

In the season premiere, sixteen of the country's worst cooks enter boot camp with dreams of putting their kitchen nightmares behind them. Mentors Anne Burrell and Alton Brown want to see what they're dealing with, so they ask the recruits to make their infamous signature dish and the results are truly disastrous. After being sorted into teams, Anne and Alton teach their recruits a chicken soup and sandwich dish and the competitors with the worst dishes are sent home. Upcoming episodes feature a Chinese New Year celebration, tailgate-themed challenge and the return of fan-favorite game Remote Control Chef. The season culminates on Sunday, March 8th at 9pm with the two most-improved recruits preparing a three-course restaurant quality meal for judges Kelly Choi, Brian Mazza and Jet Tila in a blind taste-test to determine the winner of $25,000 and bragging rights for their mentor.

[via press release from HGTV] More Discovery Nets Join HGTV Brady Bunch-House Mania with Special Themed Episodes
NEW YORK [July 22, 2019] HGTV's September 2019 premiere of A Very Brady Renovation, where the world-famous Brady Bunch house located in Los Angeles is perfectly replicated, is wildly anticipated by HGTV and Brady Bunch fans around the globe. Now, Discovery Channel and Food Network are getting in on the action with special Brady-inspired episodes of Fast N' Loud, Chopped, Worst Cooks in America, The Kitchen and The Pioneer Woman. Various cast members from The Brady Bunch, Barry Williams (Greg), Maureen McCormick (Marcia), Christopher Knight (Peter), Eve Plumb (Jan), Mike Lookinland (Bobby) and Susan Olsen (Cindy), will appear in Brady-themed episodes to support the HGTV series and build on the fever-pitch excitement around all things Brady.
Discovery Channel and Food Network will premiere their themed episodes in August or September. They also will cross promote to A Very Brady Renovation on-air beginning in August, as will other networks in the Discovery, Inc. portfolio.

"From the start, we knew that the Brady Bunch house - and The Brady Bunch series - are pop culture phenomena that transcend time, yet evoke a nostalgic feeling about family and home that is completely relevant today," said Kathleen Finch, chief lifestyle brand officer, Discovery Inc. "We imagined many ways to bring the Brady Bunch lifestyle to life under the Discovery umbrella - from replicating the television house and souping up the family station wagon to inviting cast members to serve as guest judges for '70s-themed food competitions or reminisce about their early years together as TV icons. We've been able to do all of that on HGTV, Food Network and Discovery Channel as only the Discovery family of networks can."

HGTV.com will offer seven special online packages devoted to Brady house mania, including Building Brady, that captures the behind-the-scenes moments of the renovation, and Sunshine Upcycle, which demonstrates how to refashion retro fixtures into unique design pieces. Across HGTV's social platforms, the #verybradyreno hashtag will offer an unscripted glimpse into this one-of-a-kind makeover.

A Very Brady Renovation will feature the full-scale overhaul of the real Brady Bunch house in Los Angeles. Exterior shots of that house were often used to establish a sense of time and place for the Brady family. HGTV executed a show-stopping transformation of the home by adding 2,000 square feet to its original footprint - all without compromising its instantly recognizable street view. The house was replicated to include the iconic floating staircase, the orange-and-green kitchen, Greg's attic, the kids Jack-n-Jill bathroom and many more memorable spaces. The Brady Bunch house will forever hold a special place in television history and American pop culture.

[via press release from Food Network] ANNE BURRELL AND RACHAEL RAY RETURN TO TRANSFORM CELEBRITY COOKING DISASTERS INTO CULINARY MASTERS IN BRAND-NEW SEASON OF "WORST COOKS IN AMERICA: CELEBRITY EDITION"

Eight-Episode Series Premieres Wednesday, August 23rd at 9pm ET/PT on Food Network
NEW YORK - July 21, 2017 - Food icons Anne Burrell and Rachael Ray return to lead a star-studded culinary boot camp for cooking-challenged celebrities this summer with a brand-new season of Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition, premiering Wednesday, August 23rd at 9pm ET/PT on Food Network. Anne and Rachael each lead a team of recruits through the intense kitchen challenges, but only the most improved star wins a $25,000 grand prize for the charity of their choice and bragging rights for their team master. The new celebrity recruits are: Nora Dunn, Carmen Electra, Erik Estrada, Vivica A. Fox, Perez Hilton, Carson Kressley, Sean Lowe and Melissa Peterman.

"Anne and Rachael have their culinary work cut out for them with this batch of celebrity recruits - and the results are high-energy and hilarious," said Courtney White, Senior Vice President, Programming Scripps Networks Interactive. "These stars enter boot camp with less-than-impressive cooking skills and watching them gain confidence in the kitchen is remarkable."

In the first episode, Anne and Rachael kick things off with a social media-inspired challenge. The celebrities must make a dish inspired by their tastiest food snaps on social media and judging from their pages online, these stars love a good meal but clearly do not know how to cook one. The mentors follow with a lobster lesson, which proves to be a disaster for some of these clueless cooks. Anne and Rachael then choose their teams, and the culinary training begins. Upcoming episodes feature international flavors, dessert-themed milkshake and cupcake challenges and the return of trivia game Family Food, this time with a "freaky food" twist. The most-improved celebrity cook is awarded a $25,000 grand prize for the charity of their choice in the season finale on Wednesday, October 11th at 9pm ET/PT.
