truTV’S IMPRACTICAL JOKERS: THE MOVIE DELIVERS AT THE BOX OFFICE IN FIRST-EVER THEATRICAL RELEASE

The film's opening weekend soared to $2.6 million at 357 theatres,
making it the highest per-screen average of all major releases at $7,302

Film to expand to over 1800 theaters nationwide and in Canada

NEW YORK – February 26, 2020 – WarnerMedia’s truTV has successfully debuted its first-ever feature-length film, Impractical Jokers: The Movie, directed by Chris Henchy (Daddy’s Home, Eastbound & Down) and produced by Funny Or Die with an extraordinary debut weekend total of $2,606,873 and per screen average of $7,302.

The highly anticipated film Impractical Jokers: The Movie opened in 357 select theaters nationwide on Friday, February 21, 2020 and stars James “Murr” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn, Joe Gatto, and Sal Vulcano, also known as the comedy troupe The Tenderloins. The film will continue to expand to over 1800 screens nationwide and additional markets including Canada in its second weekend.

An extension of the wildly successful Impractical Jokers series, the film follows the four lifelong friends and comedians whose hilariously outrageous hidden-camera dares and mischief have created one of cable’s longest-running original comedies. In its eighth season and with over 200 episodes aired to date, the show remains a top three original cable comedy with ratings that continue to grow, keeping truTV in the top 10 ranking among cable networks in primetime. Production on season 9 of the hit series began this week in New York.

“We’ve always known the power of the Impractical Jokers fan base but this is more than we could have dreamed of for truTV’s first theatrical release,” said Brett Weitz, General Manager for TNT, TBS, & truTV.  “In its eighth season on the small screen the Impractical Jokers’ audience and momentum has continued to build and now they’ve proven that the sky's the limit for this comedy franchise.”

Impractical Jokers: The Movie is produced by Gatto, Murray, Quinn, Vulcano, Henchy, and Funny Or Die’s Jim Ziegler and Buddy Enright. Executive producers include Jack Rovner and Funny Or Die’s Mike Farah and Joe Farrell.

AMY HOGGART TO MAKE LIFE A LITTLE EASIER ONE WEEK AT A TIME

AMY HOGGART TO MAKE LIFE A LITTLE EASIER
ONE WEEK AT A TIME

It’s Personal with Amy Hoggart will Premiere on TruTV on Wednesday, February 26

Full Frontal with Samantha Bee Alum and Nosy Empath Hijacks People’s Lives and Problems in a Ridiculous New Weekly Series
PASADENA – January 15, 2020 – It’s Personal with Amy Hoggart will premiere Wednesday, February 26 at 10pm on truTV. The new series, featuring under-qualified and over-confident Brit Amy Hoggart, seeks to make Americans feel better by attacking issues that make their lives  - and Amy’s – harder. It’s Personal with Amy Hoggart, executive produced by Samantha Bee, is part of truTV’s line-up that’s bold and fresh, showcasing audacious content with relatable characters and laugh-out-loud moments.

“I’m trying to be a better person!”, proclaims Hoggart. “And good people help people! Whatever the outcome, please know that my intentions were kind. I’m so grateful to Sam and truTV for this incredible opportunity to save people and change their lives. One day,  I hope someone is kind enough to do the same for me!”

“I am so happy everyone outside of our offices now gets to benefit from Amy’s extraordinary knowledge that is not based on any medical training,” says Samantha Bee. “Amy is extremely smart and talented so I know her show can make an impact on the emotional distress Americans are currently facing. Do they give out PhDs to TV hosts? No? I bet they will after a season of this show.”

Although Hoggart doesn’t have a license, PhD, or any actual qualifications whatsoever, in each episode of It’s Personal with Amy Hoggart, a docu-style comedy series, she attempts to untangle people’s everyday issues such as shame, revenge, anxiety, grief, and... Miami. Each episode, viewers learn how Amy's personal issues echo those of her clients' in unexpected, ridiculous ways. As a self-proclaimed "empath and really nice person," Amy goes to absurd lengths to get her clients – all real people, not actors – to feel just a little bit better. She’s desperate to help, and it definitely shows.

Hoggart will host and serve as executive producer of the series while she continues her duties as a correspondent on TBS’s own Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, where she is well known for her pieces on Brexit and Scotland, and generally using her accent to make Americans think she's more intelligent than she is. Previously, Amy wrote and starred in the faux-reality series Almost Royal.

It’s Personal with Amy Hoggart is executive produced by Samantha Bee and Jason Jones for Randy & Pam’s Quality Entertainment. Leo Allen (Nathan for You, Comedy Bang! Bang!) serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside executive producers Tony Hernandez and Brooke Posch of Jax Media.

PASADENA – January 15, 2020 – truTV is getting down and dirty with the greenlight of Tirdy Works, an unscripted sitcom set in a small rural town with four paved roads and a booming new business: arts and crafts created out of moose turds. Set in Somerville, Maine, the series is a hilarious, off-kilter look at entrepreneurship, parenthood, and life told through the eyes of artist Mary Winchenbach and her family.

“Tirdy Works is a hysterical, inside-look at an unconventional business that rallies an entire community together,” said said Brett Weitz, general manager TBS, TNT, and truTV. “Viewers may be surprised at where Mary’s art originates, but the series will showcase the wild and often absurd situations that occur to keep her business afloat.”

What started with a single turd and a simple concept, Mary’s moose-poop creations took America by storm after a local news story went viral. Helping Mary bring her art to the masses are her longtime partner Deb, teenaged daughter Katie, and a colorful cast of locals, including self-described “bitch on the hill” Tammi. In order to make all their dreams come true, Mary must bring the townspeople together to help her growing business, all the while juggling her family and a house full of turds.  But winter is coming… can this pot-smoking, wise-cracking, working class hero deliver before the cold snap hits?

Tirdy Works joins truTV’s line-up of bold, audacious programming that features fresh, unexpected content with relatable characters and laugh-out-loud moments.

Tirdy Works is produced by Scout Productions with David Collins, Michael Williams, Rob Eric and Chad Greulach serving as executive producers, with Greulach also serving as showrunner. Michel Bloom is serving as executive producer for Bongo Pictures.

Hot Ones has become a global phenomenon, with more than one-billion views over ten seasons, and now fans have been invited to join in the fun. Each team will become completely disoriented while they try to battle the insane heat of each sauce and make it through to the next round. With EMTs standing by, reactions range from tears, sweat, vomit and in one case, a panic attack, as their mouths melt from the intense heat of the sauce. After three rounds the team with the most cash will enter the Ring of Fire where they must work together to win the grand prize and the soothing milkshake antidote to their burning mouths.

This season, teams feature grandmothers, drag performers, firefighters, engaged couples, father/daughter pairs, among many more. Fans have no idea what they are in for, as these are all new blazing sauce recipes from around the country, bringing the heat along with the tears.

For the “Spice Lords” looking to get their Hot Ones fix sooner, the interview show returns for an all-new Season 11 on Thursday, February 6 at 11 a.m. ET on First We Feast’s YouTube channel.
