Through these in-depth films helmed by some of the industry's top directors and storytellers, "Biography" continues its focus on meaningful events and personalities as well as their impact on our culture. Through new and archival interviews and never-before-seen footage, each feature length film will give fans an in-depth look at the early lives, rise to fame and careers of some of the most influential stars in WWE history.

Biography: "Macho Man" Randy Savage - Directed by Billy Corben ("Cocaine Cowboys," "Screwball," "The U"), this film will tell the larger-than-life story of one of the most colorful and charismatic Superstars to ever step foot inside the ring. With two WWE Championships, four WCW(R) World Championships and a 14-month reign as Intercontinental Champion, Savage became known for his famous catch phrases, larger-than-life personality and the enormous, flashy robes he wore into the ring. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015.
Biography: "Rowdy" Roddy Piper - Directed by Emmy and Peabody Award winner Joe Lavine (ESPN 30 for 30 "Playing for the Mob," HBO "Namath") this film focuses on "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, who is universally considered one of WWE's greatest villains. During his Hall of Fame career, he played the role of the antagonist against a who's who of WWE greats, while amassing more than 30 championships.
Biography: Booker T - Directed by Emmy and Peabody Award winner George Roy ("The Curse of the Bambino", "Mayweather"), this film showcases one of the greatest Superstars in sports entertainment history. Booker T is an 11-time WCW Tag Team Champion, a six-time World Champion, winner of the 2006 King of the Ring Tournament, and a two-time (2013 and 2019) inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame. In addition to his Hall of Fame career in the ring, Booker T also went on to become a color commentator for WWE's weekly programming.

The Emmy Award-winning "Biography," which will focus on meaningful events or personalities and their impact on our culture, will begin to roll out on A&E, HISTORY and Lifetime domestically and internationally across all platforms beginning this spring. The announcement was made today by Rob Sharenow, EVP & General Manager of A&E and Lifetime.
"Groundbreaking non-fiction programming has always been a cornerstone of A+E Networks, dating back to the earliest days of the multiple Emmy Award-winning series 'Biography'," said Sharenow. "A+E's new incarnation of the gold standard in the industry will focus on the most meaningful moments in our culture from some of the most accomplished non-fiction storytellers of our time."
Biography.com and the Biography social platforms will re-launch with a new look and feel, and fresh, relevant content to reflect the brand's up-close-and-personal approach and promise: "the untold, told."
Building on its roots as a trusted source of information, Biography.com will be re-imagined to help audiences rethink their perspectives on notable people and events, focusing on cultural legacy and relevance.
Initial digital content under the Biography brand will include thousands of profiles of notable cultural figures and influencers; provocative photography; and video that brings to life surprising narratives. The digital platforms also will focus on illustrating the links between biographies and events to help audiences better understand the connections that create history.

"The Notorious Life of Biggie Smalls" is a two-hour, deeply personal "Biography" documentary that will trace the life, death and legacy of the late Christopher Wallace a.k.a. "The Notorious B.I.G." as told by those who loved him most, including his widow Faith Evans, his mother Voletta Wallace, his close friend Lil Cease, the members of Junior Mafia, and some of the biggest superstars in hip hop. Directed by Mark Ford, this documentary is the definitive biography of Biggie Smalls and the first to be officially authorized by his estate. The film will allow Biggie to narrate his own incredible life story, employing archival footage and audio recordings that have never been heard before. Twenty years after his death, this inspiring and intimate documentary will also focus on Faith Evans as she embarks on an emotional journey to reconcile her turbulent memories, as she works on a new album of duets with her late husband entitled, "The King & I." In 1993, Mt. Carmel Ranch outside Waco, TX was the site of one of the deadliest sieges in American history. A 51-day standoff between federal agents and the Branch Davidians, led by David Koresh, ended in tragedy. Now, a new Branch Davidian leader, Charles Pace, is living on the same property. His main goal is to repopulate the Branch Davidian sect before the coming apocalypse. This two-hour documentary will weave this current-day narrative with the story of Koresh and his followers.
