Truth & Iliza 6/6 on Freeform Clips

ILIZA WANTS YOU TO KNOW THAT YOUR VAGINA IS NORMAL
ON TONIGHT’S SEASON FINALE OF ‘TRUTH & ILIZA’

Watch Live on Freeform or via the Freeform App on Connected TV and Mobile Devices or Online

In tonight’s season finale of “Truth & Iliza,” Iliza discusses women’s body issues and beauty standards in the episode titled “Your Vagina is Normal.” Lead guest is Dr. Sherry A. Ross (Author, “She-Ology,” OB-GYN), and this week’s “Theme Queen” is Phoebe Robinson (2 Dope Queens podcast, “I Love Dick”). The “Truth & Iliza” season finale airs tonight, TUESDAY, JUNE 6, at 10 p.m. EDT on Freeform, the Freeform App and Freeform.com.

TONIGHT’S THEME IS YOUR VAGINA IS NORMAL
“I’m talking about something women have died because of, men have fought wars just to be near, even babies have shown it no mercy. I’m talking about vaginas. And tonight’s theme is ‘Your Vagina is Normal.’ Why do I have to devote a whole show to this? Because every woman needs to listen to me right now: Your vagina is normal. This topic is important to me because I love to be right and I usually am right and I’ve been told my vagina is wrong and that can’t be right because I’m always right and I think my vagina is right. So I’m just gonna come in hot right at the top of the show with some facts: Your vagina does not get bigger, the more sex you have. It’s not the male ego.” Click here for video.

Truth & Iliza 5/31 on Freeform (video now available)

WHEN EMOJIS ARE CONSIDERED PICKUP LINES,
IT’S A SURE SIGN SOCIETY IS DEVOLVING, ON TONIGHT’S ‘TRUTH & ILIZA’

Clips and Photos Now Available
Watch Live on Freeform or via the Freeform App on Connected TV and Mobile Devices or Online

In tonight’s episode of “Truth & Iliza,” Iliza asks, “Is society devolving?” With so much new technology there are better and faster ways to communicate, but are we actually saying less? Iliza introduces new emojis and hosts a seminar on how to be a better person. Tonight’s guest is Shallon Lester (senior editor, Star magazine) and the “Theme King” is actor Timothy Simons (“Veep”). “Truth & Iliza” airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on Freeform, the Freeform App and Freeform.com.

PICKUP LINES HAVE DEVOLVED TO EMOJIS
“But I think we’re devolving because we’re saying more while actually saying less. Twitter has us down to 140 characters. We post pictures on Instagram with tiny captions. And even that’s too much reading, so some of us just send Snapchats; and yet, no one feels heard or understood. We are having a communication breakdown and in no place is this more evident than in the way men hit on women. Here we have the evolution of man. We’ve all seen this. The condensed version is that man starts off as basically an ape on the savannas and eventually learns to ties his shoes and buy a cabana. But here we have the evolution of the pickup line. At the beginning of society, there was a requirement for men to make a substantial effort if they wanted a wife. Originally this was done by offering the woman’s family, say, a goat. Then – like a thousand years later – men started courting women in more romantic ways and began writing love letters. Then several hundred years later it was in person at bars, which required men to have some semblance of a personality, verbal ability, hygiene and, of course, money. Fast forward to recently when we got texts. But even that communication proved to be too taxing. So we devolved from the written word to pictures. Dick pictures. But even that was too many syllables, so we just call them dick pics.”

ILIZA INTRODUCES NEW AND IMPROVED EMOJIS
“Since we insist on communicating with emojis, I think we can improve them.” Click here for video.

TRUTH & ILIZA on Freeform 5/16 clips

Women vs. Women (5/16)

FEMINISM IS A LOADED WORD
IN TONIGHT’S EPISODE OF ‘TRUTH & ILIZA’
Clips Now Available
Watch Live on Freeform or via the Freeform App on Connected TV and Mobile Devices or Online

In tonight’s episode of “Truth & Iliza,” Iliza investigates female competition in “Women vs. Women.” She introduces a female “weakness kit” that makes successful women less intimidating, and asks whether you’re being a bad feminist. Iliza and guest Ariel Winter (“Modern Family”) discuss making headlines about achievements rather than outfits. This week’s “Theme Queen” is Valentina (“RuPaul’s Drag Race”). “Truth & Iliza” airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on Freeform, the Freeform App and Freeform.com.

ILIZA ASKS IF YOU ARE A BAD FEMINIST
“Some men think a feminist is some square-jawed broad who’s gonna kick me in the dick and take my job!  I don’t want your job, Tyler. I can’t lift anything. And some women worry if they’re bad feminists.” Click here for video.

ILIZA’S “WEAKNESS KIT” HELPS MAKE SUCCESSFUL, INDEPENDENT WOMEN LESS INTIMIDATING
“You did everything right, and now there’s no one left for you to date. Because men are terrified of you. Not because you’re mean or scary, but because you’ve chosen to take care of yourself. You want love, but so does everybody else. And for every one of you, there are thousands of women that men find less threatening. So how does a girl set herself apart from the competition? By being weaker. With my Weakness Kit. My kit is jam-packed with tools guaranteed to make you more attractive to men. You’ll learn phrases like:
‘Can I wear your jacket? I’m cold.’
‘What team should I root for?’
‘Can you open this?’”

ILIZA AND GUEST ARIEL WINTER BOND OVER BODY IMAGE
“I’m so over it. It’s just more disappointing to me that that’s what they’re talking about. That’s what we talk about for all women. We never hear good headlines about women.”  Click here for video.

ILIZA GIVES MEN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY TO CELEBRATE THEIR BODIES
After a beauty brand came up with a variety of soap bottle shapes to represent women’s different body types, “Truth & Iliza” gave men the opportunity to celebrate their bodies as well. “C’mon guys, you missed out on an opportunity to objectify half the population, so we’ve come up our own bottles that represent different types of men.”

Iliza Shlesinger, Jon Thoday, Richard Allen-Turner, David Martin and Kara Baker from Avalon Television (“Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” and “Catastrophe”) all serve as executive producers. Kim Gamble (“The Colbert Report”) also serves as executive producer.

ILIZA’S CALL TO ACTION FOR AMERICANS: BE ALLIES, NOT A*SHOLES
Watch Live on Freeform or via the Freeform App on Connected TV and Mobile Devices or Online

In tonight’s episode of “Truth & Iliza,” Iliza asks, “How Do You Get Woke?,” talks about heightened awareness and strategic disruption with guest Symone Sanders (CNN political commentator and former national press secretary for U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign) and hangs with this week’s “Theme King” Jeffrey Self (“Search Party”). “Truth & Iliza” airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on Freeform, the Freeform App and Freeform.com.

ILIZA ASKS HOW DO YOU GET WOKE?
“Is it even okay for me, a white, Jewish, naturally blond woman to keep saying ‘woke’ when it’s actually a word appropriated from the black community?” Click here for video.

ILIZA CHALLENGES AMERICA TO CHANGE ITS TREATMENT OF IMMIGRANTS
“America used to be the popular girl in high school. We were beautiful and everyone wanted to be in us. But then, like, later in life, we got into some wars, fell behind on some bills and got a little banged up. And now we’re not as hot as we used to be, but immigrants are like that one dork who is still in love with us from high school and still thinks we are amazing. The point is, let him love you, America! Immigrants love you despite your flaws and 20 extra pounds and mind-numbing international debt!” Click here for video.

ILIZA IS MAKING HER MARK IN LATE-NIGHT; 'TRUTH & ILIZA' TO LAUNCH MAY 2 WITH SIX-WEEK RUN ON FREEFORM AND ALL FREEFORM PLATFORMS

Watch Live or via the Freeform App on Connected TV and Mobile Devices or Online
Comedian Iliza Shlesinger is bringing her incisive perspective to a new weekly late-night talk show, "Truth & Iliza." "Truth & Iliza" is getting a six-week run starting TUESDAY, MAY 2 (10:02 - 10:32 p.m. EDT), and will serve as a platform for Iliza's societal observations and sketches fueled by her opinions as well as in-studio celebrity guest and expert interviews.

The show will be centered around a themed question which Iliza will seek to answer using audience interaction, field pieces, commentary and, of course, jokes. Iliza will draw from her decade of stand-up experience to focus on the sociopolitical issues of the day, providing a forum for viewers to discuss everything from the necessary to the inane to the taboo.

"I'm so grateful to Freeform for inviting me to create a show that occupies a space between social commentary, politics, pop culture and my specific brand of comedy and feminism" said Shlesinger. "This show will inform, entertain, and it's a great excuse to get a spray tan."

"At Freeform, we are committed to introducing culturally important narratives and voices to our viewers," said Karey Burke, executive vice president, Programming and Development, Freeform. "Iliza is one of those voices and we can't wait to bring her fearless, yet brilliantly funny social commentary and wit to our audience."

Iliza recently wrapped up her national 15-city theatre tour - "Iliza: The Confirmed Kills Tour." "Girl Logic," her first book from Weinstein Books, will be published in the fall 2017. Iliza's scripted web series on the ABC app, "Forever 31," has been ordered for a second season, and her third comedy special "Confirmed Kills" is currently available on Netflix.

Iliza Shlesinger, Jon Thoday, Richard Allen-Turner, David Martin and Kara Baker from Avalon Television ("Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" and "Catastrophe") all serve as executive producers. Kim Gamble ("The Colbert Report") also serves as executive producer.
