TV LAND'S HIT SERIES YOUNGER PARTNERS WITH
THE UNITED STATE OF WOMEN ON PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
IN SUPPORT OF THE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT

Watch the PSA Featuring the Full Cast of Younger Here

NEW YORK, June 25, 2019 - TV Land's hit series Younger has teamed up with The United State of Women on a Public Service Announcement in support of the Violence Against Women Act. Currently, long-standing funds to help and protect survivors of gender-based violence are under threat. This PSA features the full Younger cast - Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Peter Hermann, Molly Bernard and Charles Michael Davis - urging fans to take action and help get the Violence Against Women Act renewed.
"At a time when women and non-binary people are under attack, it's incredible to have the full Younger cast take a stand to protect women," said Erika Soto Lamb, Vice President of Social Impact Strategy for Comedy Central, Paramount Network and TV Land.  "We are proud to partner with The United State of Women to help our audience take action to support the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act – and we have no doubt that Liza, Kelsey, Maggie, Diana, Josh, Charles, Lauren and Zane would do the same."
Jordan Brooks, the Executive Director of the United State of Women said, "The Violence Against Women Act provides critical protections against violence and support for survivors around the country. We are thrilled to partner with TV Land and the cast of Younger to shine a light on the need to reauthorize this incredibly important legislation. We urge people to join our friends at Younger and USOW to take action and make their voices heard today."
The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), enacted in 1994, creates and supports comprehensive, cost-effective responses to the pervasive and insidious crimes of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking. It is up for reauthorization every five to six years and this year, on April 4th 2019, the House of Representatives passed H.R.1585: the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2019, with bipartisan support. H.R.1585 is a bipartisan bill to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act for five more years. It makes vital improvements that are necessary to prevent domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking and to hold offenders accountable. The Senate has not yet passed a bill to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act. To learn more and take action go to the TheUnitedStateofWomen.org.
The season six premiere of TV Land's hit series Younger recorded its highest-rated season premiere ever in the key P25-54 and W25-54 demos on Wednesday, June 12. The series' passionate fan base has helped the series expand off the TV screen to include the five-star reviewed weekly podcast, Younger Uncovered,  a weekly after-show entitled Getting Younger, and the launch of a book from Simon and Schuster entitled, Marriage Vacation.
Younger is created, executive produced and written by Darren Star, with Tony Hernandez of JAX Media executive producing. Dottie Zicklin, Eric Zicklin and Alison Brown also serve as executive producers and writers on the series.

The series is written by and stars The Katydids – Caitlin Barlow, Katy Colloton, Cate Freedman, Kate Lambert, Katie O'Brien and Kathryn Renée Thomas – and in season two, great guest stars pop up, including Haley Joel Osment ("Alpha House," "Comedy Bang! Bang!") as Mrs. Adler's husband, Ryan Hansen ("Party Down") as Ms. Snap's rival in a school council race, Jessica St. Clair ("Playing House") as the school counselor, and more surprising appearances and cameos by famous faces in comedy, pop culture and music, including Lisa Loeb, Coolio and more.

In tomorrow's episode, Ms. Snap and Ms. Bennigan host a "Women Empowering Women" seminar after a trespasser gets into Fillmore and creeps everyone out, while Mrs. Adler goes way too far trying to teach her kids about "stranger danger." Take a look:

Along with The Katydids, Alison Brie ("Community") and showrunners Ian Roberts and Jay Martel ("Key and Peele") executive produce the series. Matt Miller and Cap Gun Collective are also executive producers.

RAY DIAZ JOINS CAST OF TV LAND’S “LOPEZ” AS SERIES REGULAR

New York, NY – January 20th, 2017 – TV Land has cast actor and social media celeb Ray Diaz ("East Los High," "Real Husbands of Hollywood") on the second season of "Lopez" starring comedian George Lopez, which returns to the network on Wednesday, March 29th at 10:30pm ET/PT. Diaz will make his debut in the first episode of the new season as Hector, a friend from Manolo's (Anthony "Citric" Campos) past, who becomes like a son to George and a little brother to Manolo and Maronzio (Maronzio Vance). With George's help, Hector tries to get on his feet and find something he's good at. The ladies love him, but that doesn't seem to get him very far.

After working all through season one to get a residency show in Vegas, season two of "Lopez" finds George frustrated with the tediousness of having to do the same show every night. Along with his manager Olly (Hayley Huntley) and his opening act Maronzio, George tries to move on to bigger and better things that will make him relevant again. This season will also see George exchange one-off dates for a steadier romantic relationship, and Manolo will go back to school to earn his degree.

"Lopez" is executive produced and written by George Lopez, John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky ("Silicon Valley," "King of the Hill"). Michael Rotenberg ("It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia") of 3 Arts Entertainment also serves as executive producer.

"Heathers" Anthology Ordered to Series at TV Land

"Heathers" Anthology Ordered to Series at TV Land
The first season is a 10-episode order and is set to premiere in Fall 2017.
[via press release from TV Land] "HEATHERS" ANTHOLOGY ORDERED TO SERIES AT TV LAND
FIRST EVER HOUR-LONG SERIES FOR NETWORK WILL DEBUT FALL 2017

image: http://thefutoncritic.com/images/shows/tvland20170113.jpg
Pasadena, CA - January 13, 2017 - TV Land has picked up its first ever hour-long series with "Heathers," it was announced today at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour by Keith Cox, President of Development and Production for TV Land. The first season is a 10-episode order and is set to premiere in Fall 2017. Based on the 1988 cult classic film of the same name, "Heathers" is a pitch-black comedy anthology set in the present day, as our heroine Veronica Sawyer (Grace Victoria Cox, "Under the Dome") deals with a very different but equally vicious group of Heathers. Also starring are James Scully as JD, Melanie Field ("Wicked" National Tour) as Heather Chandler, Brendan Scannell ("Funny or Die") as Heather Duke, and Jasmine Mathews as Heather McNamara. It was also revealed in November that original "Heathers" cast member Shannen Doherty will guest star as a pivotal, unnamed character in the TV Land series.
"Our take on 'Heathers' is a cinematic, surprising and twisted comedy that gives a wonderful nod to the film while also creating something entirely its own," said Cox. "We're really passionate about this show and the satirical story-telling its provocative characters allow."
Jason Micallef ("Butter"), who wrote the pilot script, will serve as executive producer and showrunner, and Leslye Headland ("Sleeping with Other People," "Bachelorette") directed and was an executive producer on the pilot. Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi executive produce for Lakeshore Entertainment. Brad Gardner will executive produce for TV Land.
