Season 4 of The Expanse, its first as a global Amazon Original, begins a new chapter for the series, with the crew of the Rocinante on a mission from the U.N. to explore new worlds beyond the Ring Gate. Humanity has been given access to thousands of Earth-like planets which has created a land rush and furthered tensions between the opposing nations of Earth, Mars and the Belt. Ilus is the first of these planets, one rich with natural resources but also marked by the ruins of a long dead alien civilization. While Earthers, Martians and Belters maneuver to colonize Ilus and its natural resources, these early explorers don't understand this new world and are unaware of the larger dangers that await them.

Season 4 of The Expanse stars Steven Strait as James Holden, Dominique Tipper as Naomi Nagata, Wes Chatham as Amos Burton, Cas Anvar as Alex Kamal, Shohreh Aghdashloo as Chrisjen Avasarala, Frankie Adams as Bobbie Draper, Thomas Jane as Josephus Miller, Cara Gee as Camina Drummer, David Strathairn as Kales Ashford, and Burn Gorman as Adolphus Murtry. The Expanse is produced by Alcon Television Group and will launch on Amazon Prime Video on December 13th.

Today, Amazon Prime Video presented the world premiere of the first episode of Season 4 of The Expanse at New York Comic Con. Following the screening, the cast and showrunner revealed an all new teaser trailer, giving fans new insights into the highly anticipated season, its first as an Amazon Original series. The fourth season of the Hugo Award-winning series The Expanse will premiere on Friday, December 13 on Amazon Prime Video.

Season 4 of The Expanse begins a new chapter for the series with the crew of the Rocinante on a mission from the U.N. to explore new worlds beyond the Ring Gate. Humanity has been given access to thousands of Earth-like planets which has created a land rush and furthered tensions between the opposing nations of Earth, Mars and the Belt. The Hugo Award-winning series, based on the hugely popular science fiction novels by James S.A. Corey, was developed and scripted by the Academy Award nominated writing duo Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby who executive produce season 4 along with Naren Shankar, Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson, Laura Lancaster, Sharon Hall, Sean Daniel, Jason Brown, Daniel Abraham, Ty Franck and Dan Nowak. Shankar serves as showrunner for all seasons. The Expanse season 4 is produced by Alcon Television Group.

January 22, 2019 - Amazon today announced Season 3 of The Expanse will be available to Prime members in over 200 countries and territories on February 8. Seasons 1-2 are currently available in the US and will become available internationally on February 8.

Based on novels by James S. A. Corey, The Expanse is a critically-acclaimed, award-winning political science fiction series set hundreds of years in the future. Humans have colonized the solar system with The United Nations controlling Earth and an independent military power inhabiting Mars. Desperate for air and water, the series begins with Earth and Mars on the verge of war over the resources found in the Asteroid Belt. With few options for survival, allies struggle to fight over the future of humanity.

Prime Video is the new home to the highly anticipated Season 4 of The Expanse, a Prime Original series, which will launch later this year. Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon, made the announcement in May 2018 at the National Space Society's International Space Development Conference in Los Angeles where the cast and showrunner were in attendance.

Co-created and written by Academy Award nominees Mark Fergus (Iron Man) and Hawk Otsby (Children of Men), the series stars three-time Golden Globe nominee Thomas Jane (Deep Blue Sea), Oscar-nominee Shohreh Asgdashloo (Star Trek: Beyond), Steve Strait (The Covenant), Dominique Tipper (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them), Wes Chatam (The Hunger Games), Cas Anvar (Punisher: War Zone), Frankie Adams (Mortal Engines) and Shawn Doyle (Frequency), Chad L.
