TLC EXPANDS THE LITTLE COUPLE SEASON 9 PREMIERE TO TWO HOURS TO AIR ONE-HOUR HURRICANE HARVEY RELIEF SPECIAL ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 FROM 8-10 PM ET/7-9PM CT

TLC EXPANDS THE LITTLE COUPLE SEASON 9 PREMIERE TO TWO HOURS
TO AIR ONE-HOUR HURRICANE HARVEY RELIEF SPECIAL
ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 FROM 8-10 PM ET/7-9PM CT

-- THE LITTLE COUPLE’s Bill Klein Heads to Houston to Join Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts --

(Silver Spring, MD) – TLC today announced the expansion of the season 9 premiere of hit returning series THE LITTLE COUPLE to a two-hour block on Tuesday, September 19 starting at 8/7c. The supersized premiere will feature a one-hour special following former Houstonian Bill Klein as he heads back to the city to pitch in with the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts leading into the regularly scheduled premiere.

As former nine-year residents of Houston, where THE LITTLE COUPLE initiated filming of the series, Jen and Bill are passionate about helping their beloved former city and everyone who was devastated in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

In the one-hour special, viewers will hear from Jen and Bill, now living in Florida and evacuating the current storm, as they discuss the effect of Harvey on friends, family and strangers and how they are compelled to help out as much as possible. As Jen stays back with the kids, Bill heads out to Houston with his brothers Tom, a fire chief, and Joe, who has first responder experience, to help out friends and strangers whose homes have been badly damaged, including some who lost all their belongings. Along the way, the trio volunteer to hand out pet food, head to their pet store and interview various residents. Ending up at a pet rescue, where a lot of displaced animals are sheltered, Bill’s brother Tom ultimately adopts a puppy affected by the storm.

“As long-time residents of Houston, we wanted to stand with the city we called home for so many years and do anything we could to help with relief efforts. It was a remarkable and humbling experience for Bill and his brothers to spend time on the ground with fellow Houstonians affected by the hurricane and come to the aid of many of our four-legged friends as well. We hope this special inspires others across the country to contribute as much as they can,” said Dr. Jen Arnold and Bill Klein.

The special will point to how viewers can help by visiting TLC.com/Harvey to donate to the relief efforts.  Donations will help Save the Children protect vulnerable children and provide desperately needed relief to families. In the wake of the devastation, Save The Children are working around the clock to provide family-friendly supplies and services to survivors. Donate here or text CHILDREN to 707070 to support rescue efforts.

In the regularly scheduled season 9 premiere episode, airing directly after the Harvey special, Jen is a keynote speaker for a conference in Scotland and the whole family comes along! They visit a scotch distillery, a castle where Will and Zoey feel quite at home, and Bill decides to try haggis...much against Jen's wishes.

TLC’S HIT SERIES THE LITTLE COUPLE RETURNS WITH ALL-NEW FAMILY FUN AND A MAJOR LIFE CHANGING DECISION

TLC’S HIT SERIES THE LITTLE COUPLE RETURNS WITH ALL-NEW FAMILY FUN
AND A MAJOR LIFE CHANGING DECISION
--Ninth season premieres Tuesday, September 19 at 9/8c--

(Silver Spring, MD) – The fan-favorite little family is back in an all-new season of TLC’s THE LITTLE COUPLE, premiering Tuesday, September 19 at 9/8c. Last season, Jen and Bill were getting back into the groove of regular life after navigating two international adoptions, Jen’s battle with cancer and Bill’s back surgery. Now, audiences get to check back in with Jen, Bill, Will and Zoey as they embark on new and exciting adventures, culminating in one life changing event!

At the start of this season, Jen and Bill take the kids on their first international trip to the United Kingdom when Jen is invited to participate in a conference in Scotland. It’s not all work and no play, however, as the family takes the opportunity to visit a scotch distillery, a castle where Will and Zoey feel quite at home and plenty more adventures as they make their way to London, such as questioning a royal guard and partaking in proper British tea. Throughout the season, the family will continue to expand their horizons stateside, including a visit to Washington D.C. to host an adoption gala, which coincides with Zoey’s fifth birthday celebration! Later in the season, Will also celebrates his birthday during a ski trip to Vermont, where the kids experience snow for the first time.

Viewers will also see Bill and Jen at home doing their daily balancing act of being hard-working parents. Now a few years older, Will and Zoey have become much more independent, and Jen and Bill are presented with new challenges in discipline, difficult conversations and managing potty-talk. The family is always busy as they juggle day-to- day activities such as swimming lessons, karate and speech therapy, as well as big celebrations like Halloween and the winter holidays. In the midst of all this, Bill teams up with Uncle Joe in his latest business venture: a new invention called The Pop-Up Pee Pad.

But the biggest challenge of them all comes out of the blue, when Jen and Bill are presented with a decision that will have a huge impact on the family’s future. After much consideration, Jen accepts a job in St. Petersburg, Florida at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. While Jen and Bill are excited about their future in Florida, how will Will and Zoey handle the news?
