Based on the tasteless and terrifying E.C. Comics classics, the show featured top-tier film talent, including Richard Donner, Joel Silver, Robert Zemeckis and Frank Darabont - even Arnold Schwarzenegger helmed an episode! Add up-and-coming nineties actors Daniel Craig, Whoopi Goldberg, Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, and others, then edit in resurrected Hollywood greats like Humphrey Bogart and Alfred Hitchcock, and fans of twisted, dead-on humor were glued to their screens. Now, gathered together in one creepy collection for the first time, all the frightful fun of the original uncut episodes deemed too racy for television broadcast, plus loads of eerie extras, is yours until the day you die.laughing! We reported early this month that Tales from the Crypt - The Complete Series was coming together on DVD, and that there was an Amazon listing for the title. That entry didn't (and still doesn't!) have full info yet, though...not even a release date. But VideoETA, on the other hand, showed that it would be available starting June 6th...just two weeks from tomorrow. And now the Warner Home Video studio's online store has added their own entry at WBshop.com for this title, confirming that this compilation of all 7 seasons will be available to own beginning on that date. The $169.99 SRP list price has also been confirmed, and Warner has also supplied the package art shown below. Check it out:

Between 2005 and 2007, Warner Home Video released DVDs for all seven seasons of the HBO-aired (and produced!) series Tales from the Crypt. And, although some sellers (like Amazon) sometimes sold all seven season sets together as a "7-pack," there's never been an official studio-released package with the entire run of the show. Now VideoETA, a website produced by home video distributor Ingram Entertainment, shows that on June 6th Warner will release Tales from the Crypt - The Complete Series on DVD. It's priced at $169.99 SRP (which comes to less than $25 per season, and that's even before sellers subtract their discounts!). Amazon.com has a listing for the title, but it's not accepting pre-orders just yet. There's no other info yet, nor package art, but stay tuned.
