TRAVEL CHANNEL NAMES 10 OF THE NEWEST EXTREME WATERSLIDES TO RIDE THIS WEEKEND

NEW YORK (May 25, 2017) - Slide out of a rooftop Boeing 747, rocket down a converted Olympic ski jump onto the world's steepest slip n' slide or glow in the dark at a waterslide dance party. These awesome aquatic adventures are just the beginning of the fun in Travel Channel's new season of "Xtreme Waterparks," premiering on Sunday, June 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. However, there is no need to wait for these exhilarating getaways, because Travel Channel has named 10 unique and heart-pounding experiences that will leave everyone soaked and smiling.

Noteworthy waterslides on Travel Channel's top 10 list to ride this weekend include five domestic and five international destinations:

At Wings & Waves waterpark, visitors are treated to a one-of-a-kind experience - sliding into a 71,350-square-foot indoor waterpark from the inside of a Boeing 747 that sits on the roof! The waterpark is part of an aviation museum, so everyone will learn something about flying before sliding out of a real-life plane that has traveled over 58.5 million miles.

"BLACKLIGHT SLIDE"- Pop-up attraction traveling throughout the United States
For a glow-in-the-dark experience, head to blacklightslide.com to find the pop-up attraction crisscrossing the United States, where riders get doused in UV neon glow water while riding down 45-foot-high inflatable slides. DJs keep the party going as the crowd flocks to the special pop-up light show/waterpark.

"SLIP N SOAR"- UTAH OLYMPIC PARK, Park City, Utah
The new expansion to the Park City, Utah site of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, is now home to the Slip n Soar - the world's steepest slip n' slide. The slide sends even the bravest adrenaline junkies flying into the one million gallon Spence Eccles Olympic Freestyle Pool.

"TARZAN BOAT"- TARZAN BOATS & JETOVATORS, Lake Lewisville-Little Elm, Texas
Deep on Lake Lewisville in Little Elm, Texas, the pontoon barge, Tarzan Boat, can host up to 40 people at a time. A twisty tube slide, rope swings, a military cargo climbing net, two platform leaps and two trampoline bounce launchers are among the attractions.

"FREE FALL"- NORWEGIAN CRUISE WATERPARKS, Miami, Florida
The Norwegian fleet of cruise ships offers Free Fall, the fastest waterslides at sea, with dueling aqualoops that tower five stories above the top deck.

"CITTA DEL MARE RESORT POOL SLIDE" - Terrasini, Sicily, Italy
Sicily's Citta Del Mare Resort has unmatched views of the Mediterranean, which can be admired while plunging down a thrilling three-level waterslide. The slide is carved into a cliff face and shoots riders directly into the Mediterranean Sea.

"VAIKUNTUDO" - BEACH PARK, Fortaleza, Brazil
Vaikuntudo at Beach Park in Fortaleza, Brazil, is the world's second largest and tallest funnel slide. Riders spiral down the colorful funnel from an 82-foot drop at a whopping 26 miles-per-hour.

"THE OMNITRIX DOME"- Pattaya, Thailand
Near Pattaya, Thailand, visitors flock to The Omnitrix Dome - the world's largest and only fully enclosed water dome.
