The stars of America's most beloved sitcom are back in this feature-length reunion! After turning in his sheriff's badge to become a postal inspector in Cleveland, Andy Taylor (Andy Griffith) returns to Mayberry for the birth of his first grandchild. But when his former deputy Barney Fife's (Don Knotts) campaign for sheriff is derailed, Andy must once again solve the town's problems with his trademark good humor and charm. The gang's all here! Starring Andy Griffith as Andy, Ron Howard as Opie, Don Knotts as Barney, Jim Nabors as Gomer, plus appearances by Goober, Otis, and many of Mayberry's residents! In 2007, CBS/Paramount released The Andy Griffith Show - The Complete Series Collection on DVD, a 40-disc set that included a disc full of bonus material, including the 1986 telefilm "Return To Mayberry." That TV movie also appeared on DVD again in 2010, when the studio put out a 3-disc set called "The Andy Griffith Show - 50th Anniversary: Best of Mayberry." But it was NOT included on the studio's 2016 re-release of The Andy Griffith Show - The Complete Series, a 39-DVD package that didn't contain the disc of extras...and so Return to Mayberry wasn't part of that pack. If you're one of the fans of this show (and/or Mayberry R.F.D.) who don't have this yet, then you're in luck! CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media Distribution have now announced that this feature-length reunion TV movie, never before released individually on DVD, will be available separately at last! On June 13th CBS/Paramount will put in stores The Andy Griffith Show - Return to Mayberry as a single-disc title, Pricing hasn't been revealed yet, but here's a look at the package:
