KITCHENAID(R), MORTON SALT AND SAVE THE FOOD ALL JOIN TO COMBAT FOOD WASTE

FYI's culinary series "Scraps," returns for a second season where host and Sur La Table National Chef Joel Gamoran travels across the U.S. creating incredible feasts in the most breathtaking locales, using ingredients people throw away. KitchenAid(R) appliances are integrated throughout the series, and Morton Salt is on board as a sponsor as part of its movement to #EraseFoodWaste. The Save The Food campaign from Ad Council and Natural Resources Defense Council is also sponsoring. Ten half-hour episodes will begin airing Thursday, October 11 at 10pm ET/PT on FYI. The series will also air Saturdays on A&E, beginning October 13 at 9am ET/PT.

Each episode of "Scraps" follows Chef Joel Gamoran to a new city where he partners with brilliant chefs and fellow food waste champions to celebrate the local cuisine and create a delicious meal with food items most people would consider to be waste. The pressure will be on as Joel has less than a day to source ingredients, build a full menu and execute a dinner party that will blow the minds of local guests. Viewers will follow Joel on a one-of-a-kind food sourcing adventure in his refurbished 1963 Volkswagen van, affectionately named Pippi, which doubles as his mobile kitchen.

"Scraps is one of the most innovative culinary shows out there today," said James Hoffman, EVP Program Partnerships, A+E Networks. "We're thrilled to be back for a season two and continue our partnership with Sur La Table, educating audiences on how to lead a more sustainable lifestyle - utilizing food scraps in their everyday cooking, without sacrificing taste. Chef Joel's vibrant personality and passion bring this series to life - showcasing his skills with the most creative meals, against the most beautiful backdrops in the U.S."

In the season two premiere, Joel visits food waste champion Eduardo Garcia aka 'the Bionic Chef,' in Montana. The two chefs set out on a bold culinary adventure in Big Sky country - aiming to serve up a mind blowing version of an iconic cowboy dish, using ingredients usually thrown in the trash - such as bizarre beef offcuts and fried fish bones. Will their creation wow even the most stubborn locals and inspire them to join the food waste movement?

Ever wonder what to do with all those Thanksgiving Day leftovers? Chef Joel is joined by family and friends for a fun, food filled weekend in Vermont, where he collaborates with several chefs including Sally Hiebert, Ryan Ross, Aran Goldstein, Kathy Sheley, Aaron Wisniewski and Clare Langan, on 6 new recipes and 1 'Scrappy Hour' drink recipe. In this one-hour special, viewers will learn how to use every last bit of their Thanksgiving feast, premiering November 8 at 10pm ET/PT on FYI with a repeat airing the following Saturday, November 10 at 9am ET/PT on A&E.

Additional chefs that Joel partners with in the new season of Scraps are:
Brooke Williamson (Los Angeles, CA)
Andy Baraghani (Bay Area, CA)
Beverly Kim (Chicago, IL)
Max Hardy (Detroit, MI)
Tandy Wilson (Nashville, TN)
