Emmy®-winning “Oscars All Access: Red Carpet Live,” which features red carpet highlights and insider access to the biggest night in Hollywood, will be streamed live exclusively on Twitter at 3:30 p.m. PST/6:30 p.m. EST for the first time. Hosted by actress Laura Marano, and television writer and entertainment journalist Louis Virtel, who will be joined by returning favorite Chris Connelly, the show will bring the red carpet’s brightest stars, nominees, presenters and performers directly to the movie-going audience at home.

Twitter’s live stream will be available at https://twitter.com/theacademy or via @TheAcademy. This year, fans watching the “Oscars All Access: Red Carpet Live” live stream may also submit questions for nominees, presenters and performers via Twitter using #OscarsAllAccess for a chance to have them asked in real time. Sponsored by Walmart, “Oscars All Access: Red Carpet Live” features footage from up to 10 cameras strategically placed along the red carpet, providing fans with an immersive look at the year’s most high-profile and glamorous event.

Laura and Louis will host from the main stage, where they will be interviewing the star-studded parade of attendees. Meanwhile, ESPN and ABC News correspondent Chris Connelly will return as the official greeter of “The Oscars” which includes welcoming nominees, presenters and performers to the show as they hit the most famous red carpet in the world.
Laura Marano is widely known for starring as Ally in the Disney Channel’s international hit television series “Austin & Ally,” for which she won Best Actress on TV at the Kids Choice Awards and nominations for Choice Summer TV Star Female and Choice TV Actress Comedy at the Teen Choice Awards. The series has won Kids Choice Awards in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Columbia. Last year, Marano was seen in the highly acclaimed Greta Gerwig-directed high school drama, “Ladybird.” She can be seen this year in two films which include the Netflix romantic comedy “The Perfect Date” with Noah Centineo and Camila Mendes, set to be released on April 12; and the dramatic theatrical movie “Saving Zoe,” in which she stars and produced. Marano is also an established singer-songwriter. Her first single, “Boombox,” has 60 million views on YouTube. She wrote and performed the theme song to the latest video for “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir,” which made its video debut at San Diego Comic-Con and has over 68 million views. Recently, she dropped her single “ME” and newest single and video, “Let Me Cry,” on Jan. 11, and another single “FEOU” on Feb. 15.
Louis Virtel is a television writer, comic and entertainment journalist who acts as co-host of Crooked Media’s popular podcast Keep It. His list of television credits includes “Billy on the Street,” “Match Game” and TVLand’s “Throwing Shade.” Virtel also recently joined the writing staff of ABC’s late-night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” As a print journalist, his writing has appeared in Time, Vulture, The Advocate and HitFix. Virtel lives in West Hollywood, California, and thinks Rachel Weisz really killed it in “The Favourite.”
Chris Connelly is an award-winning sports and entertainment journalist who is a frequent contributor to ABC News’ “Good Morning America” and “20/20.” From 2000 to 2007, he was a co-host and interviewer for the official Academy Awards® pre-show and has served as the show’s official greeter for the last five years. He first covered the red carpet at the Oscars in 1989 for MTV, where he was the host of the network’s movie show, “The Big Picture.” From 1987 to 1996, he was an editor and writer for the movie magazine Premiere.
The 91st Oscars will be held on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019, at the Dolby Theatre® at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood and will be televised live on The ABC Television Network at 8:00 p.m. EST/5:00 p.m. PST. “The Oscars” also will be televised in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
