3.5 million Total Viewers saw Travis Pastrana of Nitro Circus complete three dangerous feats in tribute to Evel Knievel including jumping the Caesars Palace fountain

Las Vegas, NV - July 9, 2018 - 3.5 million Total Viewers witnessed history on Sunday night as action sports superstar Travis Pastrana successfully paid tribute to Evel Knievel with three spectacular stunts during HISTORY(R)'s "Evel Live." Produced in partnership with Nitro Circus, "Evel Live" became the #1 cable special of the year with Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 (1.6 million), excluding news and sports, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Additionally, 1.2 million Adults 18-49 tuned into the three-hour live event, making it HISTORY's best premiere special among key demos since "Gettysburg" in May 2011. "Evel Live" also ranks as the #1 cable special of the year among Men 25-54 (1.0 million) and Men 18-49 (766,000).

Across social channels, "Evel Live" ranked #2 among all primetime cable shows on Sunday night with over 103,000 social interactions, according to Nielsen. HISTORY and other partner posts generated over one million engagements and 12 million video views.

During "Evel Live," American professional motorsports icon Travis Pastrana honored legendary daredevil Evel Knievel by completing three of his most dangerous feats live from Las Vegas, Nevada, all while riding a modern day recreation inspired by the motorcycle Knievel used. These included: breaking Knievel's record jump over 50 cars by clearing 52 cars, another record-breaking jump over 16 full size buses, and making history as the first person to successfully jump the Caesars Palace fountain on a bike similar to the one Knievel used 50 years ago. Pastrana is now the only person to successfully beat two of Knievel's distance records and land a jump over the fountain on a v-twin motorcycle in one night.

"Evel Live" officially kicked-off HISTORY's second annual Car Week, which continues all this week.

"The Curse of Oak Island" Ranks As Cable's #1 Original Series On Tuesday Nights In All Key Demos

New York, NY - February 23, 2017 - The Season Four finale of HISTORY's hit unscripted series "The Curse of Oak Island" reached series highs with 3.8 million Total Viewers and 1.6 million Adults 25-54 on Tuesday night, according to Nielsen Media Research (Live+SD). Overall, "The Curse of Oak Island's" fourth season was the show's strongest ever in Total Viewers (3.2 million, +9% compared to Season 3) and key demos including Adults 25-54 (1.4 million, +6%), Adults 18-49 (1.1 million, +1%) and Men 25-54 (862,000, +5%). During Season Four, "The Curse of Oak Island" ranked as all of cable's #1 original series on Tuesday nights in all key demos, including Adults 25-54, Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers (Live+SD, excluding sports, news, repeats and miniseries).

The military drama debuts as a top 5 ad-supported cable drama new series launch of 2016-17 to date among all key demos

New York, NY - January 19, 2017 - HISTORY's scripted military drama series SIX premiered to a combined 2.6 million total viewers across HISTORY, A&E and LMN, according to Nielsen Fast Nationals (Live+SD). Across the three networks, SIX delivered 1.1 million Adults 25-54 and 912,000 Adults 18-49, positioning it within the top 5 scripted ad-supported cable drama new series launches of 2016-17 to date among key demos (excluding mini-series). On HISTORY, SIX attracted 1.7 million total viewers, 739,000 Adults 25-54 and 615,000 Adults 18-49. After a one week promotional play across A&E and LMN, SIX will air new episodes Wednesdays at 10pm ET/PT exclusively on HISTORY.

SIX stars Walton Goggins (Vice Principals, Sons of Anarchy, Justified) Barry Sloane (Revenge, Noah), Kyle Schmid (Copper, Being Human), Juan Pablo Raba (Narcos), Edwin Hodge (The Purge, Chicago Fire), Brianne Davis (Jarhead), Nadine Velazquez (Flight) and Dominic Adams (Devious Maids).
