FIFTH-GENERATION CONTRACTOR MARNIE OURSLER BRINGS BRILLIANT HOME TRANSFORMATIONS TO DIY NETWORK IN 'BIG BEACH BUILDS'

New York [For Immediate Release - February 16, 2017] Dated beach homes transform into dream retreats when contractor and fifth-generation builder Marnie Oursler renovates properties in the coastal communities near Bethany Beach, Del., in DIY Network's Big Beach Builds. Premiering Monday, March 20, with back-to-back episodes at 9 and 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, the seriesfollows Marnie as she builds on her family's construction heritage to restore beach houses into beautifully charming homes that can withstand hot summers, high tides and hurricane seasons for years to come.

"There's nothing like living at the beach," said Marnie. "But all that sun, sand and salt air can really take a toll on a home - that's where I come in."

In the premiere episode, Marnie takes on a dilapidated A-frame cottage that's full of local history and sits just two blocks from the beach. What begins as an easy remodel turns into a complete overhaul when a crumbling foundation requires the home be lifted 20 feet in the air to reset the unsafe structure. Each step of the way, Marnie relies on her lifelong construction savvy to create the fun and airy family beach home of her clients' dreams.

"I grew up learning from the best," said Marnie. "The houses built by my dad, his father and his father are still standing. Those places were built to last and now I'm continuing the tradition."
