When friends gather in to celebrate an old friend, a series of wild events unfold, exposing a web of lies, deception and murder. This past Thursday, February 16th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment released Mad Dogs - Season 1 on DVD. It's available right now as a manufacture on demand title from Amazon's CreateSpace MOD program. The cost is $35.99 SRP for a 2-disc set, and cover art is below. The show was seen on Amazon's "prime" service, and is from Shawn Ryan (Timeless, The Shield, The Unit). It starred Ben Chaplin, Michael Imperioli, Romany Malco and Steve Zahn. Also look for Coby Bell, Billy Zane and Allison Tolman. Despite the DVD set being called "Season 1," this is actually the complete run of the program. It was originally envisioned as a single-season show, but both Amazon and Ryan were willing to move forward with a second season. However, Ryan explained on Twitter a year ago that the showmakers could not come to an agreement with Amazon Studios about which direction to take the storyline in a second season, and so they decided to leave it at the originally-intended 10 episode first season.
