Alisa Knows What to Do! Is based on the extremely popular Russian science-fiction novels about Alise Seleznyova, a young girl from the future, by the famous Russian author Kir Bulychiov. This animated series weaves a tale about the adventures of a group of teenagers living at the end of the 21st century. The world has changed yet the burning questions that occupied people at the beginning of the century are still pertinent today. Alisa and her friends not only battle evil and injustice but they are also concerned with global problems like the natural balance and a clean environment, both on the planet and in space. The Russian animated series (based on the Russian novels) is available in English to American audiences through the AmebaTV streaming service. A year ago NCircle Entertainment quietly released a DVD, Alisa Knows What To Do! - The Mystery of the Last Truenox as a single-disc title with 4 episodes, priced at $6.99 SRP. Now Amazon.com shows a pre-order listing for an Alisa Knows What To Do! - Season 1 DVD set. Priced at $12.99 SRP, it's scheduled to come out on June 13th. We're not sure how many episodes were in that first season, but so far there are two seasons produced, and 24 episodes total (so it's reasonable to assume 12 episodes per season...although it does not always work out to be an even split!). Details and package art haven't been made available yet, but stay tuned!
