There is seemingly no escape for anyone in the McCarthy household, as manipulative parents Arthur and Marjorie strive to keep their four grown children in the nest while the kids' constant bickering and posturing for dad's favor fuels the never-ending comedy in the family's Boston neighborhood. A the center of it all is Ronnie, the gay son happy that his sexuality is completely accepted by his smothering family, but he still wishes he could see less of them.
