The complete collection of the TV Party episodes. All 60 episodes (good quality or not) are presented for the very first time, and in HD! From 1978 to 1982 Glenn O'Brien hosted an insane punk rock New York City cable TV show called TV Party.

Co-hosted by Chris Stein, from Blondie, and directed by filmmaker Amos Poe, the hour long show took television where it had never gone before: to the edge of civility and sub-realism as Glenn would put it.

Walter Steding and his band provided a musical accompaniment to the madness at hand, and many artists and musicians, from Jean-Michael Basquiat to Debbie Harry to David Byrne to Arto Lindsay were regular guests. It was the cocktail party that could be a political party.
A public-access TV show that ran in the late 70s/early 80s in NYC, with the most recognizable constant member being a band member from the legendary punk rock group "Blondie." So it may seem to have a limited audience at first...until you think about just how MANY people live in New York City at any given time!

An Amazon.com pre-order listing shows that the Blu-ray Disc (only, apparently!) release of TV Party - The Complete Collection is coming out on July 25th from a studio that the big e-tailer identifies as "Brink." It's an 8-disc set priced at $79.95 SRP, and below we have the cover art shown, and an Amazon pre-order button link. I've never seen it before, having left the Big Apple a few years before this debuted...but it sounds like something amazing, that folks would definitely want to check out!
