NEW YORK -- On the heels of MTV's third consecutive quarter of prime growth - a first in seven years - last night's global premiere of "Jersey Shore Family Vacation" was the network's highest rated new show in six years. It also broke cable records for being the most watched unscripted premiere since 2012.
The first episode - which aired at 8PM ET/PT - did a 2.88 (P18-34, LSD) with the second growing 5% to a whopping 3.03 (P18-34, LSD) averaging a 2.96 which surpasses the final season's average 2.82 in 2012. It also more than doubled the rating of the original "Jersey Shore" debut in 2009 (1.38).
Last night's two-hour global premiere - a first for MTV - was also the most social show of the day, with #JSFamilyVacation trending on Twitter in the U.S. for seven hours.
The "Shore" franchise is an MTV worldwide phenomenon that features such hits as "MTV Floribama Shore" currently shooting its second season, "Geordie Shore" in the UK, "Gandia Shore" in Spain, "Warsaw Shore" in Poland, "Acapulco Shore" in Mexico and "Super Shore."
"Jersey Shore Family Vacation" features original housemates Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio, Jenni "JWOWW" Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino who reunite in Miami for the vacation of a lifetime.

“MTV Floribama Shore” scored an impressive .94 among the network’s core demo (P18-34) with 846,000 total viewers (P2+) for the series’ launch at 10:00 PM. This marks the network’s highest rated new series premiere in over three years. The second episode debuted at 11:00 PM with a .87 (P18-34), retaining a remarkable 93% of its lead in.
Returning fan favorite, “Teen Mom OG” debuted at 9:00 PM with a 1.25 (P18-34), which was a 19% increase versus the previous season average, and the biggest “Teen Mom OG” launch in three seasons.

NEW YORK, NY (July 5, 2017) - MTV's bigger and bolder "Wild 'N Out" premiere on Thursday, June 29, was the network's highest rated unscripted episode with P12-17 in more than two years, up a whopping 143% while young adults P18-34 were up 86%. The episode garnered a 1.0 P12-17 and .7 P18-34.
"A return to New York City and our incredible partnership with superstar host and creator Nick Cannon set the stage for the biggest, boldest, wildest season yet of this groundbreaking comedy franchise," said Nina L. Diaz, Head of Unscripted Programming, MTV and VH1. "We're thrilled with 'Wild 'N Out's' stellar performance thanks to Nick and Chance's epic head to head battle."
The series' first-ever hour-long episode featured Chance the Rapper as the guest captain and Saba as the musical guest with additional A-list talent to appear throughout.
It was the #3 most social show on cable with social interactions +27% from last season's premiere.
This success comes on the heels of MTV's overall channel success which saw June P18-34 ratings up +3% with share up +12% vs. last year, a first since 2011.
"Wild 'N Out" airs weekly at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT as part of MTV's "Throwdown Thursdays" comedy block. The ninth season is back in New York City and on the biggest stage in the world - Broadway. UP A WHOPPING +164% VS. TIME PERIOD AVERAGE, "FEAR FACTOR" WAS #1 UNSCRIPTED SHOW ON CABLE
New York, NY - June 1, 2017 - MTV's "Fear Factor" hosted by Ludacris delivered the network's highest rated series premiere in two years (P18-34) with the successful refresh of the break-through show. Up a whopping +164% vs. time period average, "Fear Factor" delivered a .83 (P18-34) rating and nearly one million total viewers. It was also Tuesday's #1 unscripted show on cable (P18-34) and helped deliver MTV's best Tuesday in a year and a half.
Additionally, "The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros" reached a season high with a .61, up +13% (P18-34).
