The epic 90-minute conclusion of Disney XDs “Star Wars Rebels” (Monday, March 5, 2018, 8:30 p.m. EST) soared over the prior week’s 1-hour penultimate episode in Total Viewers (+46% – 673,000 vs. 460,000), Boys 2-11 (+47% – 81,000/0.4 rating vs. 55,000/0.3 rating), Boys 6-11 (+47% – 63,000/0.5 rating vs. 43,000/0.4 rating), Tweens 9-14 (+44% – 108,000/0.4 rating vs. 75,000/0.3 rating), Boys 9-14 (+63% – 88,000/0.7 rating vs. 54,000/0.4 rating), Kids 6-14 (+42% – 135,000/0.4 rating vs. 95,000/0.3 rating) and Boys 6-14 (+51% – 109,000/0.6 rating vs. 72,000/0.4 rating).


“Star Wars Rebels” kicked off its finale with the first of its two back-to-back episodes (8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.) marking the series’ strongest telecast of the season in Total Viewers (688,000), Boys 2-11 (84,000/0.4 rating), Boys 6-11 (64,000/0.5 rating), Tweens 9-14 (118,000/0.5 rating), Boys 9-14 (97,000/0.8 rating), Kids 6-14 (146,000/0.4 rating) and Boys 6-14 (119,000/0.6 rating).


On digital platforms, “Star Wars Rebels” generated 2.4 million video starts on the Disney XD App + DisneyNOW and over 3.2 million VOD transactions during its final season.


During 4Q17, “Star Wars Rebels” reached 6.5 million Total Viewers, including 1.4 million Kids 6-11, 1.0 million Boys 6-11 and 2.5 million Adults 18-49.

On Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, Disney XDs “Star Wars Rebels” began a six-episode arc that leads to the series finale on Monday, March 5. The one-hour programming event, two back-to-back episodes, scored season highs in Kids 6-11 (81,000/0.4 rating), Boys 6-11 (51,000/0.4 rating), Boys 9-14 (68,000/0.6 rating), Kids 6-14 (117,000/0.4 rating) and Boys 6-14 (83,000/0.5 rating).


Airing two back-to-back episodes from 9:00-10:00 p.m., “Star Wars Rebels” grew by double digits from its first to its second half-hour across all target demographics:  Kids 6-11 (+42%), Boys 6-11 (+46%), Tweens 9-14 (+19%), Boys 9-14 (+19%), Kids 6-14 (+22%) and Boys 6-14 (+23%).


On digital platforms, “Star Wars Rebels” generates 2.1 million video starts on the Disney XD App + DisneyNOW and over 2.8 million VOD transactions in its 4th season.


During 4Q17, “Star Wars Rebels” reached 6.5 million Total Viewers, including 1.4 million Kids 6-11, 1.0 million Boys 6-11 and 2.5 million Adults 18-49.

The launch of Disney XD’s comedy adventure series “DuckTales” in two back-to-back episodes (September 23, 7:00 and 7:30 a.m.), ranked as the network’s #1 animated series launch in 2½ years in Total Viewers (662,000) and Kids 2-11 (311,000/0.8 rating), and its #1 animated launch in over 2 years in Kids 6-11 (164,000/0.7 rating) – since 3/20/15 (“Star vs. The Forces of Evil”) and 6/20/16 (“LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures”), respectively. 40% of all Kids 2-14 watched the premieres with an Adult 18-49.

The two episodes ranked #1 in the hour among Boys 2-11 (198,000/1.0 rating), Boys 6-11 (121,000/1.0 rating) and Boys 6-14 (144,000/0.8 rating), and was the #1 original entertainment cable TV telecast in Total Viewers.

To date, “DuckTales” has amassed nearly 50 million Total Views including reaching 26 million Total Viewers via linear TV, generating 20 million video views across key social media platforms led by YouTube with 14 million, and over 2 million views to date across Disney XD VOD, the Disney XD App and the Disney Channel App. 

This year, “DuckTales” and its “Woo-oo!” TV movie will be seen in 34 languages in 162 countries on Disney XD channels and Disney Channels worldwide.

Featuring a distinct animation style inspired by the classic Carl Barks’
comic designs, “DuckTales” chronicles the high-flying adventures of Duckburg’s most famous trillionaire, Scrooge McDuck; his mischief-making triplet grandnephews – Huey, Dewey and Louie; temperamental nephew, Donald Duck; and the trusted McDuck Manor team: big-hearted, fearless chauffer/pilot Launchpad McQuack; no-nonsense housekeeper Mrs. Beakley; and Mrs. Beakley’s granddaughter, Webby Vanderquack, resident adventurer and the triplet’s newfound fierce friend.

The voice cast is David Tennant (“Doctor Who”) as Scrooge McDuck, Danny Pudi (“Community”) as Huey, Ben Schwartz (“Parks and Recreation”) as Dewey, Bobby Moynihan (“Saturday Night Live”) as Louie, Kate Micucci (“Garfunkel and Oates”) as Webby Vanderquack, Beck Bennett (“Saturday Night Live”) as Launchpad McQuack, Toks Olagundoye (“Castle”) as Mrs. Beakley and Tony Anselmo (“Mickey Mouse”) as Donald Duck.

VIEWERS FLOCK TO THE NEW ‘DUCKTALES,’ MAKING IT DISNEY XD’S #1 ORIGINAL ANIMATED TELECAST IN 17 MONTHS AMONG KIDS 2-11 AND BOYS 2-11, AND #1 IN PREMIERE TIMESLOT AMONG ALL TARGET BOY DEMOGRAPHICS
             
"DuckTales," a new comedy adventure series based on the beloved classic, fit the bill with a one-hour television movie premiere ("Woo-oo!," August 11, 12:00 a.m.) that is now Disney XD’s #1 original animated telecast in 17 months among Kids 2-11 (365,000/0.9 rating), and its #1 telecast overall in over 1 year among Boys 2-11 (257,000/1.3 rating) – since 3/30/16 and 4/13/16, respectively, in Live + 7 ratings. It was also the network’s most watched original telecast in 5 months in Total Viewers (740,000) and Adults 18-49 (244,000/0.2 rating) – since 3/25/17. Nearly 50% of all Kids 2-14 who viewed watched the premiere with an Adult 18-49.

The midnight premiere was the #1 TV telecast in the hour among Boys 2-11, Boys 6-11 and Boys 6-14, and was the #1 original entertainment cable TV telecast in Total Viewers.

With its 24-hour premiere event, "DuckTales" reached 5.4 million Total Viewers – including 2.6 million Kids 2-14 and 2.0 million Adults 18-49 – and has generated an additional 600,000 views to date across Disney XD VOD and the Disney XD App. 

Social engagement was robust leading up to the premiere with "DuckTales" content generating over 10.2 million video views and 40 million impressions across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

This year, "DuckTales" and its "Woo-oo!" TV movie will be seen in 34 languages in 162 countries on Disney XD channels and Disney Channels worldwide, including its U.S. series launch on Saturday, September 23, with two new episodes (7:00 a.m., 1:45 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. EDT).
