REBECCA LOWE, LIAM MCHUGH & CAROLYN MANNO TO HOST NBC OLYMPICS COVERAGE IN PYEONGCHANG

Ahmed Fareed to Host Daytime NBCSN Coverage & Fred Roggin to Host Curling on CNBC from NBC Sports Group’s International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.
The Winter Olympics Begin Feb. 8 on the Networks of NBCUniversal

STAMFORD, Conn. – November 30, 2017 – Rebecca Lowe, Liam McHugh, Carolyn Manno, Ahmed Fareed, and Fred Roggin will serve as hosts for NBC Olympics coverage of the XXIII Olympic Winter Games from PyeongChang, South Korea. The Winter Olympics begin Feb. 8, 2018 on the networks of NBCUniversal.

Lowe, McHugh, Manno, Fareed, and Roggin join Mike Tirico, who was named NBC’s primetime Olympics host earlier this year.

Lowe will serve as the host of NBC’s daytime coverage from the International Broadcast Center in PyeongChang. McHugh will host primetime and late night on NBCSN, and Manno will handle late night and morning hosting duties on NBCSN. McHugh and Manno will host from NBC Olympics’ set in the Gangneung Coastal Cluster, the site of the figure skating, hockey, speed skating, and curling competitions. McHugh will also host Olympic Ice, new live daily figure skating preview show on NBCSN.

Fareed will host daytime NBCSN coverage, and Roggin will host curling on CNBC – both from NBC Sports Group’s International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.

Rebecca Lowe

  • Serves as an NBC Olympics host for the third time, after making her debut in Sochi in 2014, and serving in the same role in Rio in 2016.
  • The 2017-18 season marks Lowe’s fifth season as host of NBC Sports Group’s exclusive Premier League coverage in the U.S., including Premier League Live, NBC Sports Group’s live pre- and post-match shows. She has interviewed many high-profile subjects for NBC’s Premier League Download program, including the legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Liam McHugh
  • 4th Olympics overall with NBC Sports
  • Previously served as a host in Rio in 2016, hosted Olympic hockey coverage at the 2014 Sochi Games, and served as an anchor of NBCSN’s coverage in London in 2012.
  • McHugh is the host of NHL Live, NBCSN’s pre- and post-game studio shows throughout the regular-season, Stanley Cup Playoffs and Stanley Cup Final. He also hosts NBC’s Notre Dame Football coverage including Countdown to Kickoff, NBCSN’s pre-game show, and NBC’s on-site Thursday Night Football studio coverage.
Carolyn Manno
  • 4th Olympics overall with NBC Sports
  • Made her NBC Olympics hosting debut in Rio, and previously served as a freestyle skiing reporter at the 2014 Sochi Games, and a reporter at the 2012 London Olympics. Manno also worked as a studio host during the 2016 Rio and 2014 Sochi Paralympics.
  • Manno serves as the host of NBCSN’s NASCAR America, and among her wide-ranging NBC Sports Group assignments, she has served as a reporter for NBC’s Football Night In America and Triple Crown horse racing, and an anchor for NBC’s Sports Update Desk.
Ahmed Fareed
  • 2nd Olympic assignment with NBC Sports
  • Made his Olympics debut as a studio host on USA Network during the 2016 Rio Olympics.
  • Fareed currently serves as an anchor/reporter for NBC Sports Bay Area.
Fred Roggin
  • 8th Olympics overall with NBC Sports
  • Roggin has covered every Olympics since 1984.
  • Roggin is currently the sports anchor at KNBC-TV in Los Angeles, California, where he hosts The Challenge and Going Roggin. He also does a sports scores and highlight recap for NBC’s early morning newscasts, which airs on NBC’s Early Today.
