NEW YORK - December 4, 2017 - Food Network's Cookie Party is almost here! The cook-along taking place this Friday, December 8th has a NEW start time, now beginning at 10:30am ET. The live cross-platform holiday stunt will offer themed content across Food Network's Facebook, Food Network Kitchen, new franchise Food Network Finds, as well as Food Network's Snapchat Live Story and Discover channel, all leading into Saturday's holiday-themed episode of the Emmy-nominated series, The Kitchen, with series co-host Geoffrey Zakarian also joining some of the Cookie Party fun.

"There is no better way to end a work week than with a party," said Vikki Neil, General Manager of Scripps Lifestyle Studios. "This cookie party will be delicious and engaging as we bring what Food Network does best to all our fans across all our digital platforms."

At 10:30am ET Food Network will go live on Facebook with Food Network Kitchen Office Hours - Cookie Edition. Direct from Food Network's New York City headquarters, Food Network Kitchen staff will offer holiday cookie inspiration while answering fans' most-pressing cookie questions in real-time, all while building a gingerbread cookie scene and demonstrating how to make adorable and delicious animal-shaped slice-and-bake cookies.

The party continues at 11:45am ET with a new #InspiredBy segment. The social convergent series that highlights aspirational food exploration will detail the creation of a giant, sweater-shaped cookie-cake with an intricate-weave pattern inspired by an episode of Holiday Baking Championship as well as the holiday creations of Christmas Cookie Challenge.

At 12:30pm ET head over to Food Network's Snapchat Live Story as Food Network's Snapchat team builds a gingerbread man tower out of gingerbread cookies and frosting to see how high they can build it in a bid to break the record. The gingerbread theme continues at Food Network's Snapchat Discover channel which will offer additional sweets and treats and gingerbread inspiration.

Geoffrey Zakarian will join the Cookie Party with a Facebook Live demonstration and discussion at 2:30pm ET making his popular Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies to help celebrate #CookiePartyLive and give fans a taste of the next day's episode of #TheKitchen which will feature even more holiday cookie fun.

Grab your afternoon coffee or tea and tune in at 4:00pm ET for a new #FoodNetworkFinds segment live from Schmackary's Cookies, the New York City bakery that boasts the "most cookie flavors in one place in the world!" Owner Zach Schmahl will be demonstrating his Dirty Peppermint holiday cookie along with other seasonal favorites.

At 5:00pm ET sit back, relax and watch Cookie Decorating Magic as the team from Food Network Poland demonstrates a variety of creative and artistic ways to decorate holiday cookies.
Capping the event off at 7:15pm ET, Dan Langan of Baked By Dan will be creating one of his signature sculpted cakes, this time making a giant cake that looks like a cookie.

The entire day-long event invites fans to join the celebration and bring along any questions they may have. The live party happening cross-platform will offer a unique opportunity for audiences to interact with experts and virtually sample recipes, as well as take away helpful tips on how to make their own holiday celebrations a little sweeter.
