Poppy Drayton (“The Shannara Chronicles”) Steven R. McQueen (“The Vampire Diaries”), country music legend Kix Brooks (Brooks & Dunn) and Mary-Margaret Humes (“Dawson’s Creek”) star in “Home by Spring,” a new, original movie premiering Saturday, March 31 (9 p.m. ET/PT) on Hallmark Channel.  Shot on location in St. Francisville, Louisiana, the movie is part of the network’s “Spring Fever” programming event, featuring an irresistible lineup of romantic, original movie premieres celebrating the hope of the spring season. Aspiring event planner Loretta Johnson (Drayton) moves to Los Angeles from her small hometown to pursue her event planning dreams, leaving her boyfriend Wayne (McQueen) behind.  When she is passed over for a promotion and a client mistakes Loretta for her boss, she decides to carry on the charade to win a piece of new business from the client.  Loretta returns to her hometown to host a retreat for her client to impress his fiancé’s father, Arthur (Brooks), and ask for his blessing to marry his daughter.  With the help of Wayne and her mother, Susan (Humes), Loretta balances keeping up the act, helping her client and managing lingering feelings for Wayne.  Before the weekend is over, Loretta must decide if she will confess who she really is to Paul and Arthur, and confess where her heart really lies to herself.  “Home by Spring” is a Team Two Entertainment production.  Kix Brooks, John Kuelbs and Tim Mudd are the executive producers.  Dustin Rikert and William Shockley are the producers.  Dwight Little directed from a script by Eric Brooks.
