With summer just around the corner, a special edition of “20/20” celebrates classic summer blockbusters and explores what it takes to make one, revealing little-known facts and recalling the most memorable moments. Featuring actor Ryan Reynolds, the special will include interviews with those who helped make classics including “Jurassic Park,” “Clueless,” “Animal House” and “Coming to America.” The hour also includes interviews with the cast of this summer’sDeadpool 2”and those involved with “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” “Lights, Camera, Summer!” airs on a special edition of “20/20” on Wednesday, May 23 (10:01–11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC
The special edition features interviews with “Jurassic Park” actors Wayne Knight, Ariana Richards, Laura Dern and Joseph Mazzello; “Clueless” leading lady Alicia Silverstone, director Amy Heckerling and costume designer Mona May; “Animal House” actors Peter Riegert, Tim Matheson, Mark Metcalf, DeWayne Jessie, Martha Smith, James Widdoes and director John Landis; “Coming to America” actors John Amos and Garcelle Beauvais, special effects makeup artist Rick Baker and director Landis; “Solo: A Star Wars Story” actor Alden Ehrenreich and director Ron Howard; and “Deadpool 2” actors Reynolds, Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Julian Dennison, Leslie Uggams and Zazie Beetz. 
The hour will celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Jurassic Park,” exploring the revolutionary visual effects and animatronics that helped turn this Spielberg film into a summer smash. The special reunites the cast of “Animal House” in time for its 40th anniversary and has “Coming to America”’s Baker explain how he transformed Eddie Murphy into multiple characters for the film. The hour explores how Heckerling, the female mastermind behind classics such as “Clueless,” “Look Who’s Talking” and “Fast Times at Ridgemont High,” created the hits; how May designed the iconic “Clueless” costumes; and features an interview with Jen Chaney, author of “As If!: The Oral History of Clueless.” “Lights, Camera, Summer!” also dives into the evolution of “Deadpool”’s characters and relives on-set memories from the first film.
