Meet the Cast of "Siempre Bruja," Netflix's Second Announced Colombian Original
The series will follow 18 year old Carmen, a Colombian slave and witch from the 17th century who, in a desperate attempt to save her loved one, travels in time to present day Cartagena.

Starring an ensemble of young Colombian talent, Siempre Bruja began principal photography today in Bogotá

Hollywood, CA May 21, 2018. - Netflix, the world's leading Internet entertainment service, began today principal photography on its second announced Colombian original series, Siempre Bruja. Produced by Dago García (Pedro el escamoso, El Paseo) and starring Angely Gaviria (Pambelé), Valeria Emiliani (La Cacica) Sofia Araujo (Sinú, Río de Pasiones), Youtuber Dylan Fuentes, and newcomers Carlos Quintero, Duban Prado, and Lenard Vanderaa, the 10-episode series will be available to Netflix members around the world in 2019.

Siempre Bruja will follow 18 year old Carmen, a Colombian slave and witch from the 17th century who, in a desperate attempt to save her loved one, travels in time to present day Cartagena. Navigating the waters of this exciting new world, Carmen will soon discover that once a witch, always a witch.

The rest of the cast includes Constanza Duque (Kadabra, Cafe con Aroma de Mujer), Sebastián Eslava (Narcos, La Niña), Luis Fernando Hoyos (Loving Pablo, Los Graduados), Verónica Orozco (Anónima, A Corazón Abierto). Filmed entirely in Colombia with locations in Bogotá, Cartagena and Honda, the young adult drama will be produced by Caracol Television for Netflix. The series will be produced by Juliana Barrera La Esclava Blanca, La Ley Secreta), directed by Liliana Bocanegra (La Esclava Blanca, Made in Cartagena, Celia) and Mateo Stivelberg (La Esclava Blanca, La Ley Secreta), and written by Ana Maria Parra (Cuando Vivas Conmigo, La Nocturna) and Diego Vivanco (Mujeres Asesinas, Alias Maria).

This new series joins a larger slate of original productions being filmed in Latin America, including the recently announced Colombian original series with Dynamo Productions, as well as Distrito Salvaje, Ingobernable, Club de Cuervos, La Casa de las Flores, Edha, Narcos, Samantha!, O Mecanismo, O Matador, 3% and Coisa Mais Linda, among others.
