The Resident - DVDs Planned for 'Season 1' of the New Fox Network Series No availability date yet, but Amazon is taking advance orders for the DVDs

THE RESIDENT is a powerful new medical drama focusing on the final years of a young doctor's training. A tough, brilliant senior resident guides an idealistic young doctor through his first day, pulling back the curtain on what really happens, both good and bad, in modern-day medicine. As the Fox Network renews the drama for a second season while preparing for a first-season finale which airs this coming Monday, the studio is already planning for a release of the first 14 episodes in the not-too-distant future. Amazon has now begun accepting pre-orders for The Resident - Season 1 on DVD! The show stars Matt Czuchry (Gilmore Girls, The Good Wife), Emily VanCamp (Revenge, Captain America theatrical films), Manish Dayal (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Halt and Catch Fire), Bruce Greenwood (St. Elsewhere, Knots Landing, Nowhere Man, Young Justice), Melina Kanakaredes (CSI:NY, Providence), and Violett Beane (The Flash, The Leftovers). This listing is prior to the official studio announcement for the item, though, so instead of a street date, Amazon merely says "This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." Pricing is available, however, at $39.98 SRP. There are no other details available so far at Amazon's entry, but there is early box art (seen below; may not be finalized yet, and could be subject to change).
