27M+ tune in for 'Harry Potter's Wizarding Weekend' on USA/SYFY
The HARRY POTTER WIZARDING WEEKEND earned big results for USA and SYFY last weekend, July 13-16. The television event kicked off NBCUniversal's new ad-supported television rights deal for the Harry Potter Wizarding World film franchise (extending through 2025), and featured marathons of all eight Harry Potter films plus all-new original content including behind-the-scenes footage, new interviews with cast and crew, fan testimonials and more.
· Nearly 12M P18-49 and over 27M P2+ tuned across both networks
· The premiere telecasts for each of the 8 titles averaged nearly 2.3M P2+
· For USA: The marathon resulted in 7 of the top 10 movie titles of the year for USA Network, with Sunday's 5:18PM Deathly Hallows Part 1 the top rated USA movie telecast of the year among P18-49
· For SYFY: The marathon resulted in 6 of the top 10 movie titles of the year for SYFY, with Sunday's 8PM Deathly Hallows Part 2 the top rated SYFY movie telecast of the year among P18-49
