On Thursday, January 17th, Boogie Dash received some life-changing news. During WE tv’s first-ever live two-hour cast event for its popular series, “Growing Up Hip Hop,” host
Sherri Shepherd invited Boogie to read a text message that he received during a commercial break from an unidentified sender. That text message said: “There’s no way to say this, but I’m pregnant.”
His “Growing Up Hip Hop” cast mates, including Angela, Vanessa and Jojo Simmons, Egypt Criss and
Sandra ‘Pepa’ Denton, were all stunned by the news. Boogie walked off the live event set to deal with the surprising information. Host, Sherri Shepherd reacted “This is what happens on live tv, y’all!”
The live broadcast event took place on Thursday, January 17 from 8pm – 10pm ET/PT during back-to-back original episodes of “Growing Up Hip Hop.” Viewers had the opportunity to interact
with the whole cast, who answered questions via phone and social media while watching the episode together in real time.
