CBS NEWSPATH, CBS NEWS’ AFFILIATE NEWS SERVICE, ENHANCES OFFERINGS WITH ORIGINAL NEWS REPORTS FOR MEMBER STATIONS’ DIGITAL PLATFORMS

CBS Newspath, CBS News’ affiliate newsgathering service, is enhancing its offerings with “Eye on the Day,” new, original news reports to be used on member stations’ digital platforms.
“Eye on the Day” is reported by CBS Newspath correspondent Laura Podesta and features three stories designed to get people engaging with stations’ digital offerings. “Eye on the Day” is delivered Monday through Friday at 6:30 AM, ET, and will be produced in multiple formats to best reach a station’s consumers on various social media and web-based platforms.
“Our stations have asked for more newsgathering to use on their digital platforms,” said Tim Gaughan, Vice President of News Services for CBS News. “These original reports will reach our stations’ viewers as they’re getting ready for the day and scanning their phones, tablets and computers. ‘Eye on the Day’ is ready for local sponsors and delivered to CBS affiliate newsrooms ready for customized branding.”
CBS Newspath provides news and information to more than 200 affiliates nationwide and to broadcasters around the world. CBS Newspath produces digital content for CBS affiliates Monday through Friday, including text-on-screen videos, website content and social friendly reports.
