NASHVILLE - January 09, 2018 - The final season of "Nashville" premiered strongly Thursday night on CMT, notching a .80 rating among Adults 18-49 and 1.6 million viewers, which is the best since the S5 Midseason Premiere (.81) and up +20% (ratings) and +7% (viewers), respectively, over the prior cycle average. (L+3)

The news comes on the heels of record growth for CMT, who recently notched its 13th consecutive month of year-over-year ratings growth among Adults 18-49 and Women 18-49 in Total Day to earn its best year since 2014. Last quarter, CMT generated the highest year-over-year gains of any Top 50 ad-supported entertainment cable channel among Women 18-49. (Total Day, L+SD)
Also a hit on social, "Nashville" ranked as the #1 Most Social Entertainment Cable Series Program for the night according to Nielsen Social, and #NashvilleCMT trended nationally throughout premiere.

This week's episode of "Nashville" debuts Thursday, January 11 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, as Deacon goes on a date with a familiar face. Juliette dives into a self-help movement. In the coming weeks, CMT will announce several new pilot orders as well as a first-look teaser for "Music City." The new docu-series from famed unscripted executive producer Adam DiVello, the creator of iconic shows such as "The Hills" and "Laguna Beach," will premiere on Thursday, March 1 at 10pm ET/PT. Filmed in Nashville, the eight-episode series follows a group of young emerging artists chasing their dreams of success in the music industry, while struggling to balance their personal lives and relationships.

NASHVILLE - December 14, 2017 - CMT this week achieved an impressive milestone notching an entire year, 53 consecutive weeks of year-over-year ratings growth, which is the longest active growth streak among all ad-supported cable. This quarter alone, CMT is generating the highest year-over-year gain of any Top 50 ad-supported cable channel in Women 18-49. Furthermore, CMT finished the 2017 Fiscal Year up +12% among Adults 18-49 and up +13 among Women 18-49 from the prior year and earned its highest-rated year since 2014. NASHVILLE - October 19, 2017 - Following the devastating hurricanes, horrific California wildfires and tragic mass shooting in Las Vegas, CMT transformed the annual "CMT Artists of the Year"' special into a night of hope and healing through the power of music featuring honorees Chris Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban and Luke Bryan. The live event from Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center notched its highest ratings to date to rank as the most watched in the event's eight-year history. The 90-minute premiere telecast posted a .35 A 18-49 L+SD, a 61% year-over-year increase. The event performed even stronger with women notching .42 W 18-49, up 73% from one year ago. More than 1.1 million fans tuned in to the premiere telecast and the encore.

"We felt a commitment to our fans to transform the event into a night where we honor human resilience through music, and hopefully in the process lift the spirits of our fans," said Frank Tanki, General Manager of CMT and TV Land. "We're thrilled that the special connected with so many people, especially those who've been impacted by the recent tragedies."

Given the recent shooting in Las Vegas, it's especially poignant that the special performed strongest in that market, where it posted a 1.77 household rating, an increase of 1867%. The special generated significant growth in other top-tier markets as well, including Tampa (1.10 HH, +320%) ,Philadelphia (1.05 HH, +320%), New Orleans (1.03 HH, +1044%), Columbus (.63 HH, +688%) Denver (.56, +60%), San Diego (.49, +277%), New York (.33, +725%) and Boston (.27 HH, +59%).
CMT created three public service announcements for the special featuring top country stars like Blake Shelton and Dolly Parton. Leveraged media relationships helped amplify CMT One Country's campaign to support victims of the recent tragedies, generating more than $1 million in media value across a myriad of platforms.

Socially, #CMTAOTY trended nationally on Twitter during the show. "CMT Artists of the Year" ranked as the #1 Most Social Entertainment Program in Primetime on Cable (Nielsen Social Content Ratings, Facebook & Twitter, excludes Sports and News Networks).

The 2017 "CMT Artists of the Year" was a high-spirited salute to fans, featuring cross-genre collaborations including "Rise Up" from Andra Day and Little Big Town, who set the inspirational tone for the evening. Andra Day and Common also joined forces with Danielle Bradbery, Lee Ann Womack and Little Big Town for a powerful performance of "Stand Up For Something," earning a standing ovation from the audience. Additional performers included Backstreet Boys, Luke Bryan, Phillip Phillips, Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban and Jason Aldean, who was joined by fellow honorees Stapleton and Urban to close the show with a message of perseverance on the late Tom Petty's "I Won't Back Down."

NASHVILLE - January 24, 2017 - Following two weeks of consecutive growth, "Nashville" ratings on CMT continue to rise and shatter network records. The newest episode aptly entitled "Leap of Faith" attracted more than 2 million viewers pulling a .95 A 18-49, notching an 18% rise in ratings since the season premiere on January 5.

Furthermore, the episode was the highest rated original series telecast in the channel's history among W 18-49 (1.30), and generated strong numbers with A 25-54 (1.14) and W 25-54 (1.61). "Nashville" on CMT was the #2 rated show on all of cable for the night among W 18-49 and W 25-54. This week's #NashChat, featuring Jonathan Jackson (Avery), had the highest reach (1.3M) and most video views (302K) of its three live events so far this season. "Nashville" is produced by Lionsgate, ABC Studios and Opry Entertainment.

Compared to January last year, CMT ratings for originals are up +72% among A18-49 and +121% among W18-49. Total day ratings are up 26% with A 18-49 and nearly 40% with W 18-49.

The episode entitled "Let's Put It Back Together Again," pulled a .92 rating on CMT with A 18-49, up 14% from last week's opener.

Furthermore, the episode was the highest rated original series telecast in the channel's history among W 18-49 (1.28), A 25-54 (1.15) and W 25-54 (1.64). NASHVILLE - January 10, 2017 - The critically acclaimed season premiere of "Nashville" was the most watched original cable program of the night, generating record-breaking numbers and now ranks as the most-watched original telecast in CMT history, delivering more than 3.1 million fans across two networks on CMT and Nick at Nite (more than 2 million to CMT alone) for a stellar 1.34 rating with A 18-49 and 1.76 rating with W 18-49, making it CMT's highest rated original series ever. The numbers jump even higher with A 25-54 (1.49) and W 25-54 (2.04). "Nashville" is produced by Lionsgate, ABC Studios and Opry Entertainment.
On CMT alone, the premiere notched an impressive .80 rating with A 18-49 and .93 rating with A 25-54, delivering 78% new viewers to the network. With women, the series pulled a 1.03 rating with W 18-49 and 1.26 with W 25-54, the highest rated telecast for this demo in CMT history. The debut topped off a strong week for CMT, which saw its highest rated week since 2014 with A 18-49.
The premiere was a hit on social as well receiving overwhelmingly positive reaction from the fans, ranking as #1 on Nielsen Social Content ratings series & specials for premiere night with #NashvilleCMT trending for 4 hours in the US.
