He’s back! TBS’ The Last O.G. starring Tracy Morgan, Tiffany Haddish and executive produced by Jordan Peele has claimed cable’s top comedy slot with Tuesday’s premiere generating 1.8M total viewers and 882K 18-49 viewers in Live + Same Day and is expected to hit a Live +7 projection of 1.252M. The series is tracking as #1 among all cable comedies this year, including premium services. This marks the biggest cable comedy premiere since 2016, the largest scripted cable comedy premiere since 2015, and the strongest TBS original debut ever. More than 6.9M total viewers (3.3M 18-49) tuned into the show over a three-night, five-telecast launch on TBS and TNT following the NCAA Final Four tournament.

Hailed by Vanity Fair as “a perfectly calibrated mix of bawdy silliness and sincere feeling” and Forbes as “a triumphant, fully formed Tracy Morgan return,” this series is the latest in a string of ratings successes for the network, which saw every original returning series showing ratings growth in 2017.

The Last O.G. centers on Tray (Morgan), an ex-con released from a 15-year prison stint to a changed and unfamiliar world. Returning to his newly gentrified Brooklyn neighborhood, Tray discovers that his former girlfriend Shay (Tiffany Haddish) is married to another man and has been raising Tray’s twins, who he never knew existed. The series is executive produced by Tracy Morgan, Jordan Peele for Monkeypaw Productions, Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, John Carcieri and Joel Zadak of Principato Young.

NEW YORK, N.Y. and BURBANK, Calif. - The fan-fueled 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards scored tremendous audience growth for Turner's TBS, TNT & truTV, drawing a television audience of 4.1 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery for the live and encore simulcasts on Sunday, March 5. That figure marks a significant increase for the fourth annual special, which grew +39% compared to last year's presentation. The Turner networks' audience growth also extended to targeted demos, as the live simulcast and encores delivered 2.2 million adults 18-49 (+36% vs. 2016) and 1 million adults 18-34 (+22%).

Rapidly becoming one of the most talked-about television events in social media, the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards generated 165 billion social media impressions throughout the promotional period. It also proved its strength on individual platforms like Twitter, where it was the #1 trending topic in the United States and worldwide. In addition, the official hashtag, #iHeartAwards, trended on Twitter in more than 250 cities across the U.S. and in 32 countries Sunday night, with the most talked-about performers being Shawn Mendes, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry. Other trending hashtags included #BestFanArmy, #ShawnMendes and #FifthHarmony. In addition, the iHeartRadio Music Awards won the night with the Nielsen Social Content Rating, finishing first ahead of The Walking Dead.

The 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards celebrated the fans by giving them the chance to vote through social media for their favorite artists in eight categories, including Best Fan Army presented by Taco Bell, Best Lyrics, Best Collaboration, Best Cover Song and Best Song from a Movie, as well as the first-ever Social Star Award, Best Music Video and Best Underground Alternative Band awards.
In addition, for the first time ever the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards announced winners of several categories through artists' Snapchat Stories over the weekend. TBS's Full Frontal with Samantha Bee is now television's #1 late-night show with adults 18-34 for the year-to-date, beating The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon by a remarkable 47% in the demo and closest competitor Last Week Tonight with John Oliver by 10%. Full Frontal with Samantha Bee has also surpassed The Tonight Show among adults 18-49 for the year-to-date and is currently in second place on the heels of Last Week Tonight.*

Throughout last year's hotly contested election and continuing through the crazy first six weeks of the new year, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee has been steadily growing its audience, leading to current deliveries that are +71% higher among adults 18-34 and +92% higher among adults 18-49 than in Q1 2016, when the series first launched. In addition, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee's growth shows no sign of slowing down, with the most recent episode scoring the series' best Live + Same Day delivery ever among adults 18-34 (334,000) and adults 18-49 (766,000).
